Description
上の説明でおよび以下の例で、様々な報告される特性および性質を測定するために次の試験方法を用いた。ASTMは米国材料試験協会を意味する。
アイオノマーは、280g/10分(ASTM D−1238に従って測定した;190℃で2.16kg)のメルトインデックスを有し、酸基の25パーセントがマグネシウムイオンで中和された10重量パーセントのカルボン酸を含有するエチレンとメタクリル酸との共重合体であった。ポリエステル成分は、クライスター(Crystar)(登録商標)ポリエステル(マージ(Merge)4449)としてデュポンから入手可能な、0.53dl/gの報告された固有粘度のポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)であった。ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)は、押出機に供給される時に1500ppmの含水率を有した。別個の押出機中でアイオノマーを260℃に加熱し、ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)を305℃に加熱し、305℃に加熱したメルトブロー・ダイアセンブリに別個のポリマー流れとして計量供給した。2つのポリマー流れをダイアセンブリ中で独立して濾過し、次に並列の繊維構造を提供するために組み合わせた。ポリマーを、0.8g/分(30穴/インチ)の穴当たりのポリマー押出量で各毛管を通して紡糸し、加圧熱風(5psig(34.5pKa)、305℃)のジェットで細くしてメルトブローン繊維を形成し、それをダイの下方に設置した移動する形成スクリーン上に集めて二成分メルトブローンウェブを形成した。ダイ−コレクター距離は12.7cmであった。2つのポリマーについてのポリマー押出量の比を変えることによって、アイオノマーおよびポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)の百分率を異なる試料について変えた。シートを75重量%、50重量%、および25重量%ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)の比で集めた。各ポリマー比について、12g/m2および36g/m2の基本重量の試料を集めた。上に記載したように試料をダストワイプ性能について試験した。同様に試験した対照試料は、例A:80重量パーセントポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)(固有粘度0.53dl/gクライスター(登録商標)4449、デュポンから入手可能な)と20重量パーセント線状低密度ポリエチレン(メルトインデックス135g/10分、GA594としてエクィスター・ケミカルズ(Equistar Chemicals)から入手可能な)とから形成された繊維の二成分ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)メルトブローンウェブ、例B:ポリプロピレン(メルトフローレイト1200g/10分、3546Gとしてエクソン・ケミカルズ(Exxon Chemicals)から入手可能な)から形成された繊維の単一成分メルトブローンウェブ、例C:クライスター(登録商標)4449ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)から形成された繊維の単一成分メルトブローンウェブ、および例D:エクィスターGA594線状低密度ポリエチレンから形成された繊維の単一成分メルトブローンウェブであった。拭き取り性能係数を下の表1に報告する。
Claims (16)
- エチレンとエチレン性不飽和カルボン酸であるメタクリル酸との金属イオン中和共重合体であるアイオノマーからなる第1ポリマー成分とポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)からなる第2ポリマー成分とを含んでなる二成分メルトブローン繊維を含んでなるメルトブローンウェブであって、前記第1および第2ポリマー成分が前記繊維の長さに沿って実質的に連続して伸びる別個のゾーンを含んでなり、かつ、前記二成分繊維の外周面の少なくとも一部分が前記第1ポリマー成分を含み、前記二成分メルトブローン繊維が、70〜80重量パーセントの第2ポリマー成分と20〜30重量パーセントの前記第1ポリマー成分とを含んでなるか、又は、70〜80重量パーセントの前記第1ポリマー成分と20〜30重量パーセントの第2ポリマー成分とを含んでなる、前記ウェブ。
- 前記第1および第2ポリマー成分が並列構造に配置されている請求項1に記載のメルトブローンウェブ。
- 前記第1および第2ポリマー成分が鞘−芯構造に配置され、前記鞘が前記第1ポリマー成分を含んでなり、そして前記芯が前記第2ポリマー成分を含んでなる請求項1に記載のメルトブローンウェブ。
- 前記エチレン性不飽和カルボン酸が前記アイオノマーの5〜25重量パーセントを含んでなる請求項1に記載のメルトブローンウェブ。
- 前記カルボン酸基の5〜70%が金属イオンで中和されている請求項4に記載のメルトブローンウェブ。
- 前記金属イオンがナトリウム、亜鉛、リチウム、マグネシウム、およびそれらの組合せよりなる群から選択される請求項5に記載のメルトブローンウェブ。
- 前記繊維が第1ポリマー成分を25重量%含んでなる請求項1に記載のメルトブローンウェブ。
- 第1層と第2層とを含んでなる多層複合シートであって、前記第1層が請求項1に記載のメルトブローンウェブであり、かつ、前記メルトブローンウェブが前記複合シートの外面を含んでなるシート。
- 前記第2層が不織ウェブ、フィルム、織布、および編布よりなる群から選択される請求項8に記載の複合シート。
- 前記第2層がスパンボンド不織ウェブである請求項9に記載の複合シート。
- 前記スパンボンドウェブが多成分スパンボンドウェブである請求項10に記載の複合シート。
- 前記多成分スパンボンドウェブが鞘−芯スパンボンド繊維を含んでなる請求項11に記載の複合シート。
- 前記鞘がポリオレフィン、ポリアミド、およびポリエステルよりなる群から選択されるポリマーを含んでなる請求項12に記載の複合シート。
- 前記鞘がポリエチレンを含んでなる請求項13に記載の複合シート。
- 請求項1または7に記載のメルトブローンウェブを含んでなるワイプ。
- 請求項1に記載のメルトブローンウェブを含んでなる微粒子フィルター。
