Description

Claims (2)
- 正極板と、負極板と、その両者間にセパレータを介在させて捲回した渦巻き状電極群と、電池ケースと、アルカリ電解液と、前記ケースの上部を密閉する封口板とからなるアルカリ蓄電池において、前記セパレータは、捲回方向と平行する方向において、幅方向の中央部の厚みが上下端部の厚みより、2%〜10%厚く、前記セパレータの幅方向の長さをL、中央部をL/2の位置としたとき、上下端部の幅をそれぞれL/4以内とすることを特徴とするアルカリ蓄電池。
- 正極板と、負極板と、その両者間にセパレータを介在させて捲回し、渦巻き状電極群を構成する工程と、前記電極群を電池ケースに収納する工程と、電解液を前記ケースに注入する工程と、前記ケースの上部を封口板で密閉する工程とを備えたアルカリ蓄電池の製造方法において、前記渦巻き状電極群を構成する工程において、前記電極群の捲回方向と平行する方向に凹部を設けたローラで加圧しながら前記電極群を捲回して渦巻き状電極群を構成することを特徴とするアルカリ蓄電池の製造方法。
