Claims (7)
- 3次元超音波センサを用いて被検体の3次元領域を走査することにより発生された超音波に基づいて前記被検体の画像を生成する装置であって、
前記3次元超音波センサに設けられた送信機/受信機ユニットと、
前記送信機/受信機ユニットから放射される音響ビームで当該走査平面の左右方向に連続的に走査を行うことにより走査平面を規定する走査平面規定手段と、
前記連続的な走査の間に、前記送信機/受信機ユニットを前記走査平面の左右方向に直角な前後方向に連続的に移動させる移動手段とを備えた装置。 - 前記3次元超音波センサから放射される音響ビームに応じて生成されるエコー信号を記憶するメモリを更に備えており、
前記メモリが、前記エコー信号が発生する前記3次元領域の幾何学的位置に対応するメモリ位置に前記エコー信号を記憶する請求項1に記載の装置。 - 前記移動手段は、前記送信機/受信機ユニットを前記前後方向における前進及び後退方向に交互に移動させ、
前記送信機/受信機ユニットは、前記前進及び後退方向に移動しているときに前記エコー信号を連続的に受信する請求項2に記載の装置。 - 前記3次元領域の任意の平面においてエコー信号を視覚化する手段を更に備えており、
前記任意の平面は、前記走査平面規定手段により規定された走査平面と一致しない平面を含んでいる請求項2又は請求項3に記載の装置。 - 前記走査平面の左右方向における走査角、前記走査平面の前後方向における走査の掃引角、走査線の数、前記走査の掃引速度、前記エコー信号のための最大貫通深さ、及び/又は前記被検体が投影若しくは観察される前記任意の平面を選択することにより、前記被検体の実際の大きさに前記走査される3次元領域を整合させる手段を更に備えている請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記送信機/受信機ユニットは、Bモード画像を表すエコー信号を生成する請求項1から請求項5のいずれか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記走査平面規定手段及び前記移動手段により走査可能な最大の3次元領域よりも小さい容積範囲の範囲限界を選択する手段と、
前記走査角及び前記掃引角を前記選択された範囲限界内に限定する手段とを更に備えている請求項5又は請求項6に記載の装置。
