Description
本発明は、一般に、自動化組織処理システムに関し、そして、特に、組織処理システムのためのマニホルドアセンブリに関する。
組織プロセッサは、種々のレベルの自動化とともに操作され得、組織学的または病理学の使用のためのヒトまたは動物組織標本を処理する。種々の型の化学的試薬が、組織処理の種々のステージで用いられ得、そして種々のシステムが、スライドを含む標本に試薬を送達するために開発されている。公知の試薬送達システムの例は、小量放出ディスペンサー、試薬バットに手動で注ぐこと、または管材を経由してプロセッサと連結されたバルク容器を経由することを含む。

該マニホルドに取付けられたプラテンであって、複数のサンプル受容部分を含み、ここで、サンプル受容部分の各々が、該マニホルドの少なくとも1つの流体導管と流体連絡する入口、および少なくとも1つの流体導管と流体連絡する出口を含むプラテン、を備える、マニホルドアセンブリ。
項目2.前記マニホルドが、2つの別個の片の材料から形成される、項目1に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目3.前記2つの別個の片の材料が機械的にエッチングされて相補的通路を形成し、そして該相補的通路が、前記所定パターンの流体導管を形成するように連結されている、項目2に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目4.前記材料がポリマーである、項目2に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目5.前記2つの片の材料が機械によってともに固定される、項目2に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目6.前記マニホルドが、少なくとも1つの供給ボトルおよび少なくとも1つの廃液ボトルと流体連絡している、項目1に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目7.前記少なくとも1つの供給ボトルと流体連絡する加圧ポンプをさらに備える、項目6に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目8.前記少なくとも1つの廃液ボトルと流体連絡する減圧ポンプをさらに備える、項目6に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目9.前記プラテンの近位端上の入口ポートおよび該プラテンの遠位端上の排出ポートをさらに備える、項目1に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目10.前記流体導管を通る流体流れを制御するような形態の複数の弁をさらに備える、項目1に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目11.前記マニホルドに連結された弁コントローラをさらに備える、項目10に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目12.前記マニホルドと前記コントローラとの間のマニホルドに連結されたドリップフレームをさらに備える、項目11に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目13.前記少なくとも1つの供給ボトルが、流体レベルセンサを含む、項目6に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目14.前記少なくとも1つの廃液ボトルが、流体レベルセンサを含む、項目13に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目15.前記流体レベルセンサが、共通センサキャリアに連結される、項目14に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目16.前記センサキャリアが、前記供給ボトルの垂直軸に平行に移動するような形態である、項目15に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目17.前記サンプル受容部分の少なくとも1つに連結された少なくとも1つのヒーターをさらに備える、項目1に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目18.前記プラテンに連結された複数のヒーターをさらに備え、ここで、該複数のヒーターの各々が独立に作動される、項目1に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
項目19.自動化組織プロセッサのマニホルドを操作する方法であって:
処理するプログラムに関する命令を受容する工程;
組織サンプルを支持し、供給原とサンプル受容トレイの入口との間の流体経路を作成するマニホルドアセンブリに含められた複数の弁を位置決めする工程であって、ここで、該マニホルドアセンブリが、それを通って延びる複数の流体経路を規定するマニホルドを含む工程;および
該流体経路および該サンプル受容トレイの入口を通って試薬を組織サンプルに適用する工程、を包含する、方法。
項目20.組織処理システムにおける使用のためのマニホルドシステムであって:
マニホルドアセンブリ;
該マニホルドアセンブリと流体連絡する複数のバルク流体ボトル;
複数の流体レベルセンサであって、各流体レベルセンサが、個々のバルク流体ボトルに隣接して配置されている流体レベルセンサ;
供給ボトルの垂直軸に平行な方向に移動するような形態のセンサキャリアであって、ここで、該複数の流体レベルセンサが該センサキャリアと連結されるセンサキャリア、を備える、マニホルドシステム。
項目21.少なくとも1つのバルク流体ボトルに流体により連結される加圧流体出力を含む加圧ポンプをさらに備える、項目20に記載のマニホルドシステム。
項目22.少なくとも1つのバルク流体ボトルに流体により連結される流体入力を含む減圧ポンプをさらに備える、項目21に記載のマニホルドシステム。
項目23.前記マニホルドアセンブリがマニホルドを含み、該マニホルドがそれを通って延びる所定パターンの流体導管を含む、項目20に記載のマニホルドシステム。
項目24.前記マニホルドが、2つの別個の片の材料から形成される、項目23に記載のマニホルドシステム。

Claims (17)
- 自動化組織処理システムのためのマニホルドアセンブリであって:

該マニホルドに取付けられたプラテンであって、各々がスライド保持トレイを受容するように適合された複数のサンプル受容部分を含み、ここで、サンプル受容部分の各々が、該マニホルドの少なくとも1つの流体導管と流体連絡する入口、および該マニホルドの少なくとも1つの流体導管と流体連絡する該入口とは別個の出口を含むプラテン、を備え、該マニホルドが、2つの別個の片の材料から形成され、そして該2つの別個の片の材料が機械的にエッチングされて相補的通路を形成し、そして該相補的通路が、該所定パターンの流体導管を形成するように連結されている、マニホルドアセンブリ。 - 前記材料がポリマーである、請求項1に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。
- 前記2つの片の材料が機械によってともに固定される、請求項1に記載のマニホルドアセンブリ。

組織サンプルを支持し、供給原とサンプル受容トレイの入口との間の流体経路を作成するマニホルドアセンブリに含められた複数の弁を位置決めする工程であって、ここで、該マニホルドアセンブリが、複数のサンプル受容部分であって、各々がスライド保持トレイを受容するように適合され、そして入口および該マニホルドを通って延びる流体経路と流体連絡する出口を備える複数のサンプル受容部分を含むプラテンを備える工程;および
該流体経路および該サンプル受容トレイの入口を通って試薬を組織サンプルに適用する工程、を包含し、該マニホルドが、2つの別個の片の材料から形成され、そして該2つの別個の片の材料が機械的にエッチングされて相補的通路を形成し、そして該相補的通路が、該所定パターンの流体導管を形成するように連結されている、方法。
