(2)電極間のスペーサーや電極を載せる耐火物台座を通じて電流が洩れること、または耐火物台座などに堆積したスラッジを通じて電流が洩れることに起因する電流ロス(以下、「リーク電流によるロス」という)。
(3)複極を備えた多極電解槽を用いる場合に、複数のカソード間で炉壁耐火物を通じて電流が洩れることに起因する電流ロス。

Claims (2)
- 溶融塩化マグネシウムの電解槽において、炉壁に埋め込まれたスペーサーによって、アノードおよびカソードもしくは複極のそれぞれの電極間隔が所定間隔に保持され、前記スペーサーが窒化珪素セラミックスで構成されていることを特徴とする電解槽。
- 前記スペーサーの電気比抵抗が1×105Ω・cm以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電解槽。
