Description
つまり、燃料クーラをエアヒータの上流側に配置することにより、エンジンの吸気経路にエアヒータを具備する構成においても、燃料クーラを吸気マニホールドの上流側に装着することによる効果が得られ、燃料クーラ及びエアヒータをコンパクトに配置することができるとともに、エアヒータにおける加熱効率の向上という付随的な効果も得ることができる。

Claims (1)
- 燃料を冷却する燃料クーラ(31)を付設したエンジン(1)において、該燃料クーラ(31)は、吸気入口(6a)から吸入される吸気を、分岐してシリンダヘッド(3)の各気筒へと送り込む吸気マニホールド(6)の、該吸気入口(6a)の上流側に介装配置し、該燃料クーラ(31)は、該吸気マニホールド(6)の吸気入口(6a)の形状に合わせた円筒状や角筒状とし、該燃料クーラ(31)の内部に冷却コア(31c)を有すると共に、該吸気マニホールド(6)への吸気通路を確保し、該燃料クーラ(31)により吸気経路の一部を構成し、該燃料クーラ(31)を、該吸気マニホールド(6)に吸気を導入する吸気導入管(32)の下流側に介装し、前記燃料クーラ(31)の下流側に、燃焼室に供給される吸気の温度を上昇させて燃焼性を高めるエアヒータ(34)を装着し、該エアヒータ(34)は、前記燃料クーラ(31)と該吸気マニホールド(6)の吸気入口(6a)の間に介装し、吸気経路の上流側から、吸気導入管(32)、燃料クーラ(31)、エアヒータ(34)、吸気入口(6a)の順に配置した状態で、前記吸気導入管(32)に形成したフランジ部(32a)から、燃料クーラ(31)及びエアヒータ(34)に設けたボルト孔を介して、ボルト(33・・)を挿通し、前記吸気マニホールド(6)の吸気入口(6a)側に螺挿し、固定することを特徴とするエンジン。
