Description
本発明は、タイヤに関する情報、例えば圧力情報及び温度情報をワイヤレス通信するようRFIDチップをタイヤに取り付けるシステム及び方法に関する。大抵のRFIDチップは、集積回路(IC)の形態で提供される。RFIDチップは代表的には、ICパッケージの外部の複数のピンを有する。ピンは、RFIDチップに外部源、アンテナ接続部又は所要の任意他の外部接続部から給電する場合、給電及びアースのために使用できる。互いに異なるRFIDチップは、互いに異なるピン形態を有し、種々の理由で互いに異なる形式の外部装置に接続されるよう設計されている。任意形式のRFチップ(これは、外部給電式のものであっても内部給電式のものであってもよく、或いはそれ自体電源を有していないものであってもよい)が、本発明に使用できる。
Claims (32)
- タイヤとワイヤレス情報通信を行うシステムであって、
タイヤを有し、該タイヤは、
円の形を形成する内側部及び外側部を持つ細長い平らなゴム面を備え、該ゴム面が、第1外縁部と、該第1外縁部と対向する第2外縁部を持ち、
第1内壁を形成するように前記第1外縁部に対して実質的に垂直につながる第1平坦ゴム側部と、
第2内壁を形成するように前記第2外縁部に対して実質的に垂直につながる第2平坦ゴム側部とを備え、
前記細長い平らなゴム面の内部には、構造的一体性を前記タイヤに追加するように少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトが埋め込まれ、
少なくとも1つのアンテナピンを備えたRFIDチップを有し、該RFIDチップが前記タイヤの前記内側部に取り付けられ、前記平らなゴム面が前記少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトと前記RFIDチップとの間に誘電体を形成し、
前記少なくとも1つのアンテナピンは、前記タイヤに関して前記RFIDチップと無線周波信号のやりとりをするアンテナを形成するように、前記少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトに容量結合されている、
システム。 - 前記少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトは、複数本の導電性ベルトから成る、請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトは、鋼、鉄及びアルミニウムから成る群から選択された材料で作られている、請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのアンテナピンは、モノポールアンテナを形成するよう前記少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトに容量結合された1つの案内ピンである、請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記RFIDチップは、前記RFIDチップのアースをとるよう接地面に結合されたアースピンを更に有している、請求項4記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの案内ピンは、ダイポールアンテナを形成するよう前記複数本の導電性ベルトに容量結合された2つの案内ピンである、請求項2記載のシステム。
- 前記複数本の導電性ベルトは、複数のスロットを形成し、前記少なくとも1つの案内ピンは、スロットアンテナを形成するよう前記スロットに容量結合されている、請求項2記載のシステム。
- 前記アンテナは、UHF及びVHFから成る群から選択された動作周波数で動作する、請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記RFIDチップは、2.45GHz、869MHz、915MHz及び13.56MHzから成る群から選択された動作周波数で動作する、請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記RFIDチップと前記内面との間に設けられていて、前記RFIDチップを前記内面に接着する非導電性接着剤を更に有している、請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記RFIDは、前記アンテナを用いて前記タイヤに関する情報を質問リーダにワイヤレス伝送する、請求項1記載のシステム。
- 前記タイヤに関する前記情報は、前記タイヤの圧力、前記タイヤの温度、前記タイヤ周りの周囲圧力及び前記タイヤ周りの周囲温度から成る群から選択されている、請求項11記載のシステム。
- 前記アンテナを形成するよう前記スロットに結合された状態で前記ピンに結合された少なくとも1つの導電性部品を更に有している、請求項7記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの導電性部品は、蝶ネクタイの形状に作られた2つの導電性部品である、請求項13記載のシステム。
- 前記スロットを横切って電場を発生して前記電場を前記少なくとも1つの導電性部品に容量結合する電場リーダを更に有している、請求項13記載のシステム。
- 電気信号を送出する質問リーダを更に有し、前記少なくとも1つの導電性部品は、2つの導電性部品から成り、前記2つの導電性部品のうち一方は、前記2つの導電性部品の他方に対して非対称の形をしており、前記少なくとも2つの導電性部品は、第1の周波数を有する前記電気信号を受信する際、ダイポールアンテナとして働き、前記少なくとも2つの導電性部品は、前記第1の周波数とは異なる第2の周波数を有する前記電気信号を受信する際、スロットアンテナを形成するよう前記スロットに結合する、請求項13記載のシステム。
- 前記スロットは、複数の自己終端長さを有し、前記少なくとも2つの導電性部品は、前記第2の周波数を有する前記電気信号を受信する際、スロットアンテナを形成するよう第1の長さをもつ前記スロットに結合し、前記少なくとも2つの導電性部品は、前記第1及び第2の周波数とは異なる第3の周波数を有する前記電気信号を受信する際、スロットアンテナを形成するよう第2の長さをもつ前記スロットに結合する、請求項16記載のシステム。
- 前記少なくとも1つの導電性部品は、スロットアンテナを形成するよう前記複数本の導電性ベルトからの少なくとも1本のベルトを前記タイヤに設けられたビードに結合する2つの導電性部品から成り、前記少なくとも1本のベルトと前記ビードとの間の隙間が、質問リーダにより受信された信号を前記スロットアンテナに放射する伝送線を形成する、請求項13記載のシステム。
- タイヤとワイヤレス情報通信を行うシステムであって、
タイヤを有し、該タイヤは、
円の形を形成する内側部及び外側部を持つ細長い平らなゴム面を備え、該ゴム面が、第1外縁部と、該第1外縁部と対向する第2外縁部を持ち、
第1内壁を形成するように前記第1外縁部に対して実質的に垂直につながる第1平坦ゴム側部と、
第2内壁を形成するように前記第2外縁部に対して実質的に垂直につながる第2平坦ゴム側部とを備え、
前記細長い平らなゴム面の内部には、構造的一体性を前記タイヤに追加するように少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトが埋め込まれ、
前記第1平坦ゴム面は、構造的一体性を前記タイヤに追加するように少なくとも1本の導電性ベルト内に埋め込まれ、
少なくとも1つのアンテナピンを備えたRFIDチップを有し、該RFIDチップは、前記タイヤの前記第1内壁に取り付けられ、前記第1平坦ゴム側部は、前記少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトと前記RFIDチップとの間に誘電体を形成し、
前記少なくとも1つのアンテナピンは、前記タイヤに関して前記RFIDチップと無線周波信号のやりとりをするアンテナを形成するように、前記少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトに容量結合されている、
システム。 - タイヤとワイヤレス情報通信を行うシステムであって、
タイヤを有し、該タイヤは、
円の形を形成する内側部及び外側部を持つ細長い平らなゴム面を備え、該ゴム面が、第1外縁部と、該第1外縁部と対向する第2外縁部を持ち、
第1内壁を形成するように前記第1外縁部に対して実質的に垂直につながる第1平坦ゴム側部と、
第2内壁を形成するように前記第2外縁部に対して実質的に垂直につながる第2平坦ゴム側部とを備え、
前記第2の平らなゴム面の内部には、構造的一体性を前記タイヤに追加するように少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトが埋め込まれ、
少なくとも1つのアンテナピンを備えたRFIDチップを有し、該RFIDチップは、前記タイヤの前記第2内壁に取り付けられ、前記第2平坦ゴム側部は、前記少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトと前記RFIDチップとの間に誘電体を形成し、
前記少なくとも1つのアンテナピンは、前記タイヤに関して前記RFIDチップと無線周波信号のやりとりをするアンテナを形成するように、前記少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトに容量結合されている、
システム。 - タイヤに関する情報をワイヤレス通信する方法であって、前記タイヤが、このタイヤ内部に取り付けられたRFIDチップを含み、このRFIDチップが少なくとも1つのアンテナピン備えており、
前記少なくとも1つのアンテナピンを前記タイヤの内部に収容された少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトに容量結合して、電波通信のためのアンテナを形成し、
前記アンテナによって無線周波信号を受信することを含む、
方法。 - 前記アンテナによって受信され前記RFIDチップによって変更された前記無線周波信号を送り戻すことを含む、請求項21記載の方法。
- 別個の無線周波信号を前記アンテナ中に伝送することを含む、請求項21記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトは、複数本の導電性ベルトから成る、請求項21記載の方法。
- 前記容量結合段階は、前記少なくとも1つのアンテナピンを前記導電性ベルトによって形成されたスロットに容量結合してスロットアンテナを形成することを含む、請求項24記載の方法。
- 前記RFIDチップをアースすることを含む、請求項21記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つのアンテナピンは、2つのアンテナピンから成り、前記容量結合段階は、前記2つのアンテナピンを前記複数本の導電性ベルトに容量結合して電波通信のためのダイポールアンテナを形成することを含む、請求項24記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つの導電性部品を前記ピンに取り付けることを含み、前記少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトが複数本の導電性ベルトから成り、前記複数本の導電性ベルト相互間にスロットが形成され、前記容量結合が、前記少なくとも1つの導電性部品を前記スロットに容量結合して前記アンテナを形成することを含む、請求項21記載の方法。
- 前記スロットを横切って電場を発生させて前記電場を前記少なくとも1つの導電性部品に容量結合することを含む、請求項28記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの導電性部品が2つの導電性部品から成り、
前記スロットアンテナを用いて第1の動作周波数を有する信号を受信し、そして電気信号を送出し、前記2つの導電性部品をダイポールアンテナとして用いて第2の動作周波数を有する信号を受信することを含む、
請求項28記載の方法。 - 前記2つの導電性部品を互いに対し非対称に配置することを含む、請求項30記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの導電性部品が2つの導電性部品から成り、
前記2つの導電性部品を前記少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトと前記タイヤに設けられたビードとの間に取り付けてスロットアンテナを形成するためのスロットを形成し、質問リーダによって送られ、前記少なくとも1本の導電性ベルトと前記ビードとの間に形成された隙間スロット中に放射される電気信号を受信することを含む、
