Claims (3)
- 排気管の途中に介装されたマフラ内にインナシェルを固定設置し、パティキュレートフィルタをカートリッジシェルで一体的に抱持することによりユニット化したフィルタカートリッジを前記インナシェルに差し込んで装着するようにした排気浄化装置において、インナシェルの内径をカートリッジシェルの外径に対し十分な挿入クリアランスを介し大きく形成すると共に、前記インナシェルの奥側端から所要長さだけ手前側へ後退した位置にフィルタカートリッジの挿入方向へ向け徐々に縮径するテーパ部を形成し且つ該テーパ部より奥側の部分を前記挿入クリアランスを絞り込んだ小径部として形成する一方、カートリッジシェルの奥側端部の外周面にシール材及びクッション材を全周に亘り装着し、これらシール材及びクッション材がフィルタカートリッジの装着時に前記インナシェルの小径部との間で挾圧保持されるように構成し、しかも、カートリッジシェルの奥側端から所要長さだけ手前側へ後退した外周面に第一のストッパを設けると共に、フィルタカートリッジの装着時に前記第一のストッパとの間でシール材及びクッション材を挾圧保持し得るよう前記インナシェル内に第二のストッパを設けたことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。
- カートリッジシェルの奥側端部の外周面に、耐熱繊維から成るマット材をシール材として全周に亘り装着すると共に、金属線材から成るネット材をクッション材として前記シール材の奥側と手前側で全周に亘り装着し且つその奥側に装着されたクッション材がカートリッジシェルより奥側へ所要長さ張り出すように構成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排気浄化装置。
- 第二のストッパがカートリッジシェル側に向け徐々に縮径するテーパ付きのリング形状を成し且つカートリッジシェルの外径よりも若干大きな最大径を有するものであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の排気浄化装置。
