Description
Claims (14)
- チャンネル変更時の待機時間が無いパーソナルビデオレコーダにおけるトリックモード操作方法であって、
ビデオソース信号を記録するステップと、
前記ビデオソース信号を、前記記録の開始と同時に表示装置に供給するステップと、
該供給をトリックモード要求に応答して終了し、記録した前記ビデオソース信号である記録ビデオソース信号を前記表示装置に供給するステップと、
前記トリックモード要求内容を前記記録ビデオソース信号を用いて実行するステップと
を含み、
前記ビデオソース信号の記録中、別のビデオソース信号チャネルの選択に応答して、前記別のビデオソース信号チャネルからのビデオ信号の記録に関連した表示遅延を生じさせることなく、前記別のビデオソース信号チャネルからの前記ビデオ信号を前記表示装置に供給する
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、
トリックモード要求を認識した旨をオンスクリーンディスプレイメッセージで知らせるステップ
をさらに含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項2記載の方法であって、
前記記録ビデオソース信号を前記表示装置に供給する前記ステップが完了したときに、前記オンスクリーンディスプレイメッセージを終了するステップ
をさらに含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、前記記録ステップは、
別のビデオソース信号チャンネルの選択に応答して、該別のビデオソース信号をインターラプトなしで記録するステップ
をさらに含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項4記載の方法であって、前記記録ステップは、
前記別のビデオソース信号を、先のビデオソース信号の記録物を消去することなく記録するステップ
をさらに含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、
前記記録ビデオソース信号の再生を、前記ビデオソース信号の最も最近記録した部分まで進めることで、前記トリックモードから前記ビデオソース信号に移行するステップと、
前記記録ビデオソース信号の代わりに、前記ビデオソース信号を、前記記録ステップに関連したバッファリング遅延無しで、前記表示装置に供給するステップと
をさらに含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1記載の方法であって、
前記記録ビデオソース信号の代わりに、前記ビデオソース信号を、前記記録ステップに関連したバッファリング遅延無しで、前記表示装置に供給することで、前記トリックモードから前記ビデオソース信号へ移行するステップと、
前記記録ビデオソース信号の代わりに前記ビデオソース信号が供給される旨の通知を生成するステップと
をさらに含むことを特徴とする方法。 - トリックモード機能を備えたパーソナルビデオレコーダであって、
ビデオソース信号を記録及び再生するデータストレージ装置と、
前記データストレージ装置が前記ビデオソース信号を記録するのと同時に、前記ビデオソース信号の記録中、データストレージ装置に関連したバッファリング遅延無しで、前記ビデオソース信号を表示装置に供給するバッファバイパススイッチと、
少なくとも1つの別のビデオソース信号チャネルを供給するチューナと
を有し、
トリックモード要求に応答して、前記バッファバイパススイッチは、前記ビデオソース信号の前記表示装置への供給を終了させ、記録した前記ビデオソース信号である記録ビデオソース信号を代わりに供給し、且つ
前記ビデオソース信号の記録中、別のビデオソース信号チャネルの選択に応答して、前記バッファバイパススイッチは、前記別のビデオソース信号チャネルからのビデオ信号の記録に関連した表示遅延を生じさせることなく、前記別のビデオソース信号チャネルからの前記ビデオ信号を前記表示装置に供給する
ことを特徴とするパーソナルビデオレコーダ。 - 請求項8記載のシステムであって、
トリックモード要求の通知を生成する手段
をさらに有することを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項9記載のシステムであって、
前記表示装置への前記記録ビデオソース信号の供給が完了したときに、前記通知を終了させる手段
をさらに有することを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項8記載のシステムであって、前記データストレージ装置は、別のビデオソース信号チャンネルの選択に応答して、該別のビデオソース信号をインターラプト無しで記録することを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項11記載のシステムであって、前記データストレージ装置は、前記別のビデオソース信号を、先に記録されたビデオソース信号の記録物を消去することなく記録することを特徴とするシステム。
- 請求項8記載のシステムであって、
前記記録ビデオソース信号の再生を、前記ビデオソース信号の最も最近記録された部分まで進める手段と、
前記記録ビデオソース信号を再生する代わりに、前記ビデオソース信号を、記録に関連した前記ビデオソース信号のバッファリングによる遅延を生じさせることなく、前記表示装置に供給する手段と
をさらに有することを特徴とするシステム。 - 請求項8記載のシステムであって、
前記記録ビデオソース信号の再生を、前記ビデオソース信号の最も最近記録された部分まで進める手段と、
前記記録ビデオソース信号を再生する代わりに前記ビデオソース信号が供給されつつある旨の通知を生成する手段と、
をさらに有することを特徴とするシステム。
