Claims (14)
- インクジェットプリンタのプリントヘッドであって、
印刷される媒体にインクを意図した軌道に沿って噴出するための、基板上に形成されたノズルアセンブリアレイと、
前記ノズルアレイを被覆し、前記ノズルアレイの各々の個々に対応する孔のアレイを有するノズルガードと、
前記ノズルアセンブリの少なくとも1つからの、漏れインクまたは前記意図した軌道以外の軌道で噴出されたインクを、前記ノズルアセンブリの残りから隔離するために、前記ノズルアセンブリの前記少なくとも1つを囲むように前記基板と前記ノズルガードとの間で延在する封じ込め壁と
を備え、
前記ノズルガードの前記孔の各々が、関連する通路と通じており、
前記ノズルアセンブリから前記意図した軌道以外の軌道で噴出されたインクが、前記媒体に達しないようにするために、各々の通路の長さは、前記孔の各々の直径よりも大きい、プリントヘッド。 - 前記孔及び前記通路が、前記ノズルの各々に対してコリメータを規定する、請求項1に記載のプリントヘッド。
- 前記プリントヘッドが、前記ノズルアセンブリの任意のものに動作故障を検出し、それらへのインクの供給を停止するようにされた、請求項1に記載のプリントヘッド。
- 任意のダメージを受けたノズルアセンブリを補償するために、前記アレイ内の他のノズルアセンブリの動作を調節する故障耐性機能をさらに備える、請求項1に記載のプリントヘッド。
- 前記アレイにある各ノズルアセンブリが、各個々のノズルアセンブリからの任意の漏れインクまたは誤った方向に向けられたインクを隔離するためのそれぞれの封じ込め壁によって囲まれている、請求項1に記載のプリントヘッド。
- インク検出手段が、ノズルアセンブリの各々の封じ込め壁内に配置されており、前記インク検出手段は、前記封じ込め壁内のインクの所定レベルに応じて作動し、ダメージを受けたノズルアセンブリを補償するために前記アレイの残りのノズルアセンブリの動作を調節する故障耐性機能にフィードバックを与える、請求項5に記載のプリントヘッド。
- 前記ノズルが、前記曲げアクチュエータが、作動中に行程の限界にあるとき、回路が閉じられるような位置にあるコンタクトを有することで、制御ユニットが、回路が閉じられるまで、消費電力と前記アクチュエータを動かすのにかかる時間を測定して、必要なエネルギーを計算することができる、請求項6に記載のプリントヘッド。
- 前記制御ユニットが、前記ノズルに動作故障を検知すると、前記故障耐性機能を作動させて、前記ノズルアセンブリへのインクのさらなる供給を停止する、請求項7に記載のプリントヘッド。
- 前記ノズルガードが、前記ノズルとのダメージを与える接触を阻止するようにされた、請求項1に記載のプリントヘッド。
- 前記ノズルガードが、シリコンから形成された、請求項9に記載のプリントヘッド。
- 前記ノズルガードが、前記通路を介して流体を方向付けるための流体入口回路をさらに含んで、前記ノズルアレイ上での異粒子の蓄積を阻止する、請求項10に記載のプリントヘッド。
- 前記プリントヘッド上で前記ノズルシールドを支持するための支持支柱をさらに備える、請求項11に記載のプリントヘッド。
- 前記支持支柱が、前記ガードの各端部で一体形成され配設された、請求項12に記載のプリントヘッド。
- 前記流体入口開口が、前記ノズルアレイのボンドパッドから離隔して前記支持支柱の1つに配設された、請求項13に記載のプリントヘッド。
