Claims (5)
- 温熱療法を用いて体管に隣接する組織を治療する装置であって、
体管内に挿入されるようになっているカテーテルを含むエネルギー放出源であって、該エネルギー放出源からの集中エネルギーが前記体管に隣接する治療対象組織を加熱するように治療対象組織の領域に隣接して配置されるエネルギー放出源と、
前記カテーテル上に配置された圧迫バルーンと、
前記体管を拡張するように体管の壁に圧力を付与し、かつ前記エネルギー放出源が治療対象組織を加熱するように制御されている間は、治療対象組織を圧迫するために圧迫バルーンを膨張させるための循環流体と、前記循環流体の温度は30℃〜60℃の範囲内にあることと、
前記治療対象組織の領域内に感熱担体内に封入された薬物を注入する手段とを備え、前記エネルギー放出源が前記体管を取り囲む前記組織の一部分を約43℃の温度に前記組織の加熱部分を破壊するのに十分な時間前記エネルギー放出源によって加熱すると、前記熱が前記感熱担体を活性化して前記密封薬物の解放を活性化するとともに前記薬物が前記加熱対象組織を標的にすることを特徴とする装置。 - 前記循環流体は体管の壁の温度を30℃以上に保持することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記圧迫バルーンはエネルギー放出源の少なくとも一部を包囲することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記エネルギー放出源はマイクロ波アンテナであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記感熱担体は感熱リポソームであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
