Description
また、カバーに対する油圧の受圧面積は拡大することがなく、カバーの反りが軽減されて油漏れを小さくできる。しかも、カバーは受圧面積が小さくなることにより、薄いカバーや強度の弱いカバー等カバーの使用範囲が広がる等の効果がある。
図1はこの発明の実施の形態1によるバルブタイミング調整装置の内部構成を示すもので、後述する図3のA−A線で見た軸方向断面図、図2は後述する図5のB−Bで見た軸方向断面図である。図3は第1回転体に対して第2回転体が最進角位置にある状態を示す図1のIII−III線で見た径方向断面図であり、図4は第1回転体に対して第2回転体が最遅角位置にある状態を示す図1のIV−IV線で見た径方向断面図である。図5は第1回転体に対して第2回転体が最進角位置にある状態を示す図1のV−V線で見た径方向断面図であり、図6は第1回転体に対して第2回転体が最遅角位置にある状態を示す図1のVI−VI線で見た径方向断面図である。
まず、エンジン停止時においては、バルブタイミング調整装置1の進角油圧室21および遅角油圧室23内のオイルが第1油路25、第2油路27およびOCV(図示せず)等を経由してオイルパン(図示せず)へ戻されるため、ロックピン31がコイルスプリング39の付勢力により係合孔41に係合して第1回転体3と第2回転体7との相対回動が最進角位置に規制されている(ロック状態)。
また、カバーに対する油圧の受圧面積は拡大することがなく、カバーの反りが軽減されて油漏れを小さくできる。このように、カバーは受圧面積が拡大することがないので、薄いカバーや強度の弱いカバー等の使用範囲が広がる等の効果がある。
実施の形態1では、3つのアシストスプリングを使用しているが、実施の形態2では、この3つのアシストスプリング9を等荷重に設定し、ほぼ等角度間隔に配置するもので、このように構成すると、ベーンロータ7の倒れに起因するモーメントの和を零に近づけることができ、軸線に対して直交するベーンロータ7の倒れを防止することができる。
Claims (4)
- カムシャフトの軸受け部を有するハウジング、内側に複数の突起状のシューを有し該シュー間で油圧室を形成するケース、前記油圧室を塞ぐカバーをそれぞれ一体に固定しクランクシャフトと一体回転する第1回転体と、
前記油圧室をそれぞれ進角油圧室と遅角油圧室とに分ける複数のベーンを有し前記第1回転体内で所定角度だけ回動可能で吸気または排気のカムシャフトと一体固定された第2回転体と、
前記第1回転体と第2回転体との相対位置を調整する付勢手段と、
前記付勢手段の一端側を収納するように前記シューのハウジング対向面に設けたハウジング側のみに開口した溝と、
前記付勢手段の他端側を収納するように前記第2回転体のベーンに設けた穴または溝と
を備え、
前記ハウジングは、前記カバーに比べて厚みと強度が十分であることを特徴とするバルブタイミング調整装置。 - 付勢手段が直線状になる位置を該付勢手段の長さが最大となる位置付近に設定したことを特徴とする請求項1記載のバルブタイミング調整装置。
- 付勢手段の最圧縮時、シューとベーン間に隙間を形成したことを特徴とする請求項1記載のバルブタイミング調整装置。
- 複数の付勢手段はそれぞれ等荷重に設定しほぼ等角度間隔に各シューとベーン間に配設したことを特徴とする請求項1記載のバルブタイミング調整装置。
