Description
導電糸は、C繊維のような非金属系の導電材料、または金属系の繊維もしくは金属繊維のいずれかに基づいている。
比較的に低い電気抵抗が求められる場合は、フィラメント糸を用いるのが有利である。
このようなフィラメント糸は、撚り合わされる一組のステンレス鋼フィラメント等の金属フィラメントからなる場合が多い。しかし、現在、このような糸は、100μmよりも大きい直径のフィラメントからなり、これらフィラメントは、比較的細いが剛性のある金属コードに近い機能をフィラメント糸に与える。
あるいは、30μm未満の直径を有するステンレス鋼繊維からなるステンレス鋼繊維糸が現在知られている。
ステンレス鋼の比電気抵抗は比較的高いので、より低い電気抵抗を有する糸を得るには、比較的粗い構造(または、Texすなわちg/kmで表される高い繊度)を有するように構成される。このような粗い糸は糸構造の柔軟性を大幅に失う。
本発明に係る糸の断面において、導電糸の全重量に対する金属皮膜の重量比は、有利には50重量%未満、最も好ましくは40重量%未満である。また、導電糸の全重量に対する金属皮膜の重量比は、有利には1重量%より大きく、最も好ましくは5重量%より大きい。
可能であれば、金属皮膜は、導電糸の外側に位置する、繊維群の外に面する外皮面にのみ存在する。「外に面する外皮面」とは、導電糸中に含まれる他の繊維に面することのない、繊維の外皮面の一部分として理解されるべきである。
代替例として、本発明に係る導電糸は、まずステープル繊維であるステンレス鋼繊維を単層の導電糸に紡績するとよい。次いで、数本の単層の導電糸を多層の紡績導電糸に撚ってもよい。この後、単層または多層の導電糸に本発明に係る金属皮膜を被覆することができる。あるいは、ステンレス鋼フィラメントの束に被覆を施し、これをバラバラにして被覆されたステンレス鋼繊維とし、そして、適切な紡績技術を用いて、本発明に係る単層または多層の導電糸に紡績する。
好ましくは、ステンレス鋼繊維束または各単層の導電糸は、各々、断面当り1000本未満のステンレス鋼繊維を有し、各導電糸の断面当りのステンレス鋼繊維の数は、好ましくは3000本未満である。
束内のステンレス鋼フィラメントの数、および皮膜の金属合金の厚みに依存して、好ましくは0.1から400Ω/mの範囲内、最も好ましくは400Ω未満または100Ω/m未満、例えば80Ω/m未満の範囲内の線電気抵抗(Ω/m)を有する本発明の導電糸が得られるとよい。線電気抵抗(Ω/m)は、好ましくは0.1Ω/mよりも大きく、さらに0.2Ωよりも大きく、例えば、0.2Ω/m、0.5Ω/m、2Ω/m、7Ω/m、14Ω/mである。
最も好ましくは、金属皮膜は、電気化学被覆技術によって施される。しかし、浸漬、蒸着、またはプラズマ被覆技術を代替的に用いてもよい。
本発明に係る糸は、例えば、電気的に加熱可能な布製品または織物に電気抵抗糸を設けるのに用いられるとよい。
一方、金属層の厚みは大幅かつ容易に調整できるので、糸の電気抵抗を容易に変えることができる。
Claims (15)
- 複数のステンレス鋼繊維を含んでなる導電糸において、前記複数のステンレス鋼繊維は金属皮膜によって被覆されており、この金属皮膜は、前記複数のステンレス鋼繊維のうち、前記導電糸の外側に位置するステンレス鋼繊維の外に面する外皮面にのみ存在するとともに、前記金属皮膜は、前記ステンレス鋼繊維が有する比ステンレス鋼電気抵抗よりも小さい比金属皮膜電気抵抗を有する金属材料からなることを特徴とする導電糸。
- 前記導電糸の全重量に対する前記金属皮膜の重量比が50重量%未満である請求項1に記載の導電糸。
- 前記導電糸の全重量に対する前記金属皮膜の重量比が1重量%よりも大きい請求項1または2に記載の導電糸。
- 前記金属皮膜が8μm未満の最大厚みを有する請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の導電糸。
- 前記金属皮膜が0.01μmよりも大きい最大厚みを有する請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の導電糸。
- 前記ステンレス鋼繊維が0.5から50μmの範囲の等価直径を有する請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の導電糸。
- 前記金属皮膜が、Cu、Al、Ag、Au、Ni、Ti、W、Zn、Cr、Sn、Pt、Cu合金、Al合金、Ag合金、Au合金、Ni合金、Ti合金、W合金、Zn合金、Cr合金、Sn合金、Pt合金およびこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される元素からなる請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の導電糸。
- 前記金属皮膜がCuまたはCu合金からなる請求項7に記載の導電糸。
- 前記導電糸が、前記導電糸の断面当り3000本未満のステンレス鋼繊維を含んでなる請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の導電糸。
- 前記導電糸の前記線電気抵抗が400Ω/m未満である請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の導電糸。
- 前記ステンレス鋼繊維がステンレス鋼フィラメントである請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の導電糸。
- 前記ステンレス鋼繊維がステンレス鋼ステープル繊維である請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の導電糸。
- 加熱可能な布地への請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載の導電糸の使用。
- 加熱可能な車両シートまたはシートカバーを提供するための請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載の導電糸の使用。
- 電流または電気信号を通すための請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載の導電糸の使用。
