Description
前記像担持体と前記転写部材との間に配置され、前記像担持体に対向する主面に沿って前記記録媒体を搬送する無端ベルト、
前記無端ベルトを張架する第1ローラ及び第2ローラ、
前記転写部材、前記無端ベルト、前記第1ローラ及び前記第2ローラを収納するフレーム、並びに
前記フレームを前記記録媒体の搬送方向に沿って変位させる駆動部材を有する転写装置と、
前記転写電界の強度に影響を与える前記記録媒体の特性に関する情報を取得する取得部と、
前記取得部で取得した前記情報に応じて前記転写部材が前記搬送方向における異なる位置に配置されるように前記駆動部材を駆動させる制御部と、を備えることを特徴とする。
(エチレンプロピレンジエン共重合ゴム)等で構成される。また、発泡弾性層の体積抵抗値は、約107Ω・cm程度であり、硬度はJIS−C(アスカーC)で60〜75度に 設定される。転写電極ローラ61の外径は、この実施形態では約18mmである。

Claims (9)
- 現像剤によって可視化された画像を担持する像担持体に記録媒体を介して対向するように配置され、前記像担持体との間を搬送される前記記録媒体に前記画像を転写電界によって転写する転写部材、
前記像担持体と前記転写部材との間に配置され、前記像担持体に対向する主面に沿って前記記録媒体を搬送する無端ベルト、
前記無端ベルトを張架する第1ローラ及び第2ローラ、
前記転写部材、前記無端ベルト、前記第1ローラ及び前記第2ローラを収納するフレーム、並びに
前記フレームを前記記録媒体の搬送方向に沿って変位させる駆動部材を有する転写装置と、
前記転写電界の強度に影響を与える前記記録媒体の特性に関する情報を取得する取得部と、
前記取得部で取得した前記情報に応じて前記転写部材が前記搬送方向における異なる位置に配置されるように前記駆動部材を駆動させる制御部と、を備えることを特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 前記転写部材は、前記像担持体に最も近い位置を含み前記最も近い位置より前記記録媒体の搬送方向の下流側におけるいずれかの位置で前記記録媒体に前記画像を転写することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記転写部材は、前記記録媒体の厚さが小さいほど、前記記録媒体の搬送方向の下流側の位置で前記画像を前記記録媒体に転写することを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記記録媒体の厚さは、前記画像の前記記録媒体への転写の要求を受け付けたときに使用される記録媒体の厚さであることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記無端ベルトの電気抵抗値は、1×108Ω・cm以上1×1013Ω・cm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記転写部材は、ローラ形状であることを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記転写部材は、前記記録媒体への前記画像の転写を行わないときに前記像担持体に最も近い位置で待機することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記転写部材は、前記記録媒体への前記画像の転写を行わないときに前記像担持体から離間した位置で待機することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記転写部材の位置に関わらず前記転写部材に一定の電圧が供給されることを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれかに記載の画像形成装置。
