Claims (12)
- MIMOアンテナシステムにおいて送信アンテナ及び受信アンテナの組み合わせを選択する方法であって、
・m個の送信アンテナの第1のものから第1の信号を送信することと、
・複数のn個の受信アンテナの各々において受信されるような前記第1の信号の品質を判定することと、
・残りのm−1個の送信アンテナを用いてそれぞれ信号を送信する処理を繰り返すことと、
・第1の送信セット及び第2の送信セットを有する前記送信アンテナのうちの少なくとも2つの第1の組み合わせを判定し、これら送信セットの各々が、少なくとも1つの選択された送信アンテナからなりこれら送信セットが互いに独立しているものとすることと、
・第1の受信セット及び第2の受信セットを有する前記受信アンテナのうちの少なくとも2つの第2の組み合わせを判定し、これら受信セットの各々が、少なくとも1つの選択された受信アンテナからなりこれら受信セットが互いに独立しているものとすることと、
を有し、前記第1の組み合わせ及び第2の組み合わせは、
・前記第1の送信セットの送信アンテナにより送信された信号が、前記第1の受信セットの受信アンテナにおいて許容可能なものとして受信され、前記第1の受信セットにはない当該選択された受信アンテナにおいて許容不可能なものとして受信されることと、
・前記第2の送信セットの送信アンテナにより送信された信号が、前記第2の受信セットの受信アンテナにおいて許容可能なものとして受信され、前記第2の受信セットにはない当該選択された受信アンテナにおいて許容不可能なものとして受信されることと、
を満たすように判定される、
方法。 - 少なくとも2つの送信機及び複数の送信アンテナを有する送信局と少なくとも2つの受信機及び複数の受信アンテナを有する少なくとも1つの受信局とを有するMIMOアンテナシステムを動作する方法であって、
・前記複数の送信アンテナのうちの第1のものから信号を送信し前記複数の受信アンテナの各々により受信される信号の品質を判定することと、
・この動作を残りの送信アンテナの各々を用いてそれぞれ繰り返すことと、
・前記複数の送信アンテナ対前記複数の受信アンテナの特性のチャネルマトリクスを形成することと、
・前記チャネルマトリクスから、第1の送信セット及び第2の送信セットを有する前記送信アンテナのうちの少なくとも2つの第1の組み合わせを選択し、その際に、これら送信セットの各々が少なくとも1つの選択された送信アンテナからなり、これら送信セットが互いに独立しているものとすることと、
・前記チャネルマトリクスから、第1の受信セット及び第2の受信セットを有する前記受信アンテナのうちの少なくとも2つの第2の組み合わせを選択し、その際に、これら受信セットの各々が少なくとも1つの選択された受信アンテナからなり、これら受信セットが互いに独立しているものとすることと、
を有し、前記第1の組み合わせ及び第2の組み合わせは、
・前記第1の送信セットの送信アンテナにより送信される信号が、前記第1の受信セットの受信アンテナにおいて許容可能に受信され、前記第1の受信セットにはない当該選択された受信アンテナにおいて許容不可能に受信されることと、
・前記第2の送信セットの送信アンテナにより送信される信号が、前記第2の受信セットの受信アンテナにおいて許容可能に受信され、前記第2の受信セットにはない当該選択された受信アンテナにおいて許容不可能に受信されることと、
を満たすよう選択される、
方法。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の方法であって、判定される品質は、信号強度である、方法。
- 請求項3に記載の方法であって、最強及び最弱信号は、それぞれ許容可能及び許容不可能とみなされる、方法。
- 請求項2ないし4のうちいずれか1つに記載の方法であって、送信及び受信アンテナの選択された対の特性を監視し、許容不可能となるこれらの特性に応答して前記送信及び受信アンテナの相対的特性の評価がなされる、方法。
- 請求項2ないし4のうちいずれか1つに記載の方法であって、送信及び受信アンテナの選択された対の特性を監視し、許容不可能となるこれらの特性に応答して前記送信及び受信アンテナの相対的特性の評価を、前に選択された少なくとも2つの送信アンテナの組み合わせで開始して行う、方法。
- 請求項1ないし6のうちいずれか1つに記載の方法であって、前記送信信号は、トレーニング及び/又は同期シーケンスを有する、方法。
- 少なくとも2つの送信機及び複数の送信アンテナを具備する送信局と、少なくとも2つの受信機及び複数の受信アンテナを具備する少なくとも1つの受信局とを有するMIMOアンテナシステムであって、前記送信局は、前記送信アンテナの1つを順次選択しその選択された送信アンテナから信号を送信する手段を備え、前記受信局は、前記複数の受信アンテナの1つを順次選択する手段と、前記複数の受信アンテナの各々により受信される信号の品質を判定する手段とを有し、当該システムは、前記送信アンテナ対前記受信アンテナの特性のチャネルマトリクスを形成するとともに、前記チャネルマトリクスから、
・第1の送信セット及び第2の送信セットを有する前記送信アンテナのうちの少なくとも2つの第1の組み合わせであって、これら送信セットの各々が少なくとも1つの選択された送信アンテナからなりこれら送信セットが互いに独立しているものとした組み合わせと、
・第1の受信セット及び第2の受信セットを有する前記受信アンテナのうちの少なくとも2つの第2の組み合わせであって、これら受信セットの各々が少なくとも1つの選択された受信アンテナからなりこれら受信セットが互いに独立しているものとした組み合わせと、
を選択する手段をさらに有し、前記第1の組み合わせ及び第2の組み合わせは、
・前記第1の送信セットの送信アンテナにより送信された信号が、前記第1の受信セットの受信アンテナにおいて許容可能なものとして受信され、前記第1の受信セットにはない当該選択された受信アンテナにおいて許容不可能なものとして受信されることと、
・前記第2の送信セットの送信アンテナにより送信された信号が、前記第2の受信セットの受信アンテナにおいて許容可能なものとして受信され、前記第2の受信セットにはない当該選択された受信アンテナにおいて許容不可能なものとして受信されることと、
を満たすように選択される、MIMOアンテナシステム。 - 請求項8に記載のシステムであって、前記送信局は、送信アンテナの数よりも少ない送信機を有する、システム。
- 請求項8又は9に記載のシステムであって、前記受信局は、受信アンテナの数よりも少ない受信機を有する、システム。
- 請求項8ないし10のうちいずれか1つに記載のMIMOアンテナシステムに用いられる送信局。
- 請求項8ないし10のうちいずれか1つに記載のMIMOアンテナシステムに用いられる受信局。
