Description
本願は、米国仮特許出願第60,278,052号(2001年3月22日)および米国仮特許出願第60/290,081号(2001年5月10日)から優先権を主張している。
本発明は、通常の高イオウベースストックを使用してILSAC GF−3の新規仕様に合うように調合したエンジン油に関する。
本発明は、ILSAC GF−3エンジン潤滑油として認定するのに適切な組成物を提供し、該組成物は、以下の成分を含有する:主要量の鉱油であって、該鉱油は、API I群ベースストックとして分類され、ここで、該ベースストックは、300重量ppmまたはそれ以上のイオウ、仕上げエンジン油に25〜600ppmのモリブデンを送達する量のジチオカルバミン酸モリブデン、ポリオレフィン骨格を有するスクシンイミド分散剤(ここで、該ポリオレフィンは、少なくとも1300の数平均分子量を有する)、ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛(これは、少なくとも1種の第二級アルコールから誘導される)、および少なくとも1種の酸化防止剤(これは、ヒンダードフェノール、アルキル化芳香族アミンおよび硫化オレフィンからなる群から選択される)。

Claims (13)
- 以下の(a)〜(e)を含有する、エンジン潤滑油として使用するための組成物:
(a)主要量のAPI I群鉱油ベースストックであって、該ベースストックは、少なくとも300重量ppmのイオウを含有する、API I群鉱油ベースストック;
(b)ジチオカルバミン酸モリブデンであって、該ジチオカルバミン酸モリブデンは、該組成物に50〜500ppmのモリブデンを供給するのに適切な量である、ジチオカルバミン酸モリブデン;
(c)スクシンイミド分散剤であって、該スクシンイミド分散剤は、ポリオレフィン置換コハク酸構造をベースにしており、ここで、該ポリオレフィンは、少なくとも1300の数平均分子量を有する、スクシンイミド分散剤;
(d)ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛であって、該ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛は、少なくとも1種の第二級アルコールから誘導される、ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛;および
(e)少なくとも1種の酸化防止剤であって、該酸化防止剤は、ヒンダードフェノール、アルキル化芳香族アミンおよび硫化オレフィンからなる群から選択され、該酸化防止剤の量が、該組成物の0.5〜2.0重量%である、酸化防止剤。 - 前記鉱油ベースストックが、少なくとも1000重量ppmのイオウを含有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記ジチオカルバミン酸モリブデンが、次式により表わされ、
[R1R2N−C(=S)S−]2−(Mo2SmOn)
ここで、R1およびR2が、別個に、ヒドロカルビル基、アミノアルキル基またはアシル化アミノアルキル基であり、mが、2であり、そしてnが、2である、請求項1に記載の組成物。 - 前記ジチオカルバミン酸モリブデンの量が、前記組成物に100〜450ppmのモリブデンを供給するのに適切な量である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記スクシンイミド分散剤の前記ポリオレフィン置換基が、1500〜3000の数平均分子量を有するポリイソブテンであり、各ポリイソブテン基に、平均して、1.3〜2.5個のコハク酸基が存在し、そして該スクシンイミドのアミン部分が、エチレンポリアミンの混合物であり、該混合物が、0.7:1.5のCO:Nモル比を与える量で反応される、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記スクシンイミド分散剤の量が、前記組成物の0.4〜10重量%である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛が、4−メチル−2−ペンタノールまたはイソプロピルアルコールまたはそれらの混合物から誘導される、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛の量が、前記組成物に0.03〜0.16重量%のリンを与えるのに適切な量である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 少なくとも2種の酸化防止剤が存在している、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- エンジン潤滑油として使用するための組成物における酸化を防止する方法であって、該組成物は、以下:
(a)主要量のAPI I群鉱油ベースストックであって、該ベースストックは、少なくとも300重量ppmのイオウを含有する、API I群鉱油ベースストック;
(c)スクシンイミド分散剤であって、該スクシンイミド分散剤は、ポリオレフィン置換コハク酸構造をベースにしており、ここで、該ポリオレフィンは、少なくとも1300の数平均分子量を有する、スクシンイミド分散剤;
(d)ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛であって、該ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛は、少なくとも1種の第二級アルコールから誘導される、ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛;および
(e)少なくとも1種の酸化防止剤であって、該酸化防止剤は、ヒンダードフェノール、アルキル化芳香族アミンおよび硫化オレフィンからなる群から選択され、該酸化防止剤の量が、該組成物の0.5〜2.0重量%である、酸化防止剤
を含み、
該方法が、該組成物に、(b)ジチオカルバミン酸モリブデンを、該組成物に50〜500ppmのモリブデンを送達するのに十分な量で添加する工程を包含する、方法。 - 前記方法が、前記組成物に、(b)ジチオカルバミン酸モリブデンを、該組成物に100〜450ppmのモリブデンを送達するのに十分な量で添加する工程を包含する、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が、前記組成物に、(b)ジチオカルバミン酸モリブデンを、該組成物に150〜250ppmのモリブデンを送達するのに十分な量で添加する工程を包含する、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記ジチオカルバミン酸モリブデンの量が、前記組成物に150〜250ppmのモリブデンを供給するのに適切な量である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
