m=m1・λ2/(λ2−λ3) ・・・ (3)
m1を固定すると、格子間隔dは入射角の正弦で決まることが分かる。
ブリュースター角で光が入射すると、電場ベクトルの振動方向が入射面に平行な成分は完全に透過するので、こちらの偏光(P成分)を選べば、界面での透過率を100%にできる。また、ホログラムも偏波依存性がある。たいてい、平面に対して透過率の高い偏波とホログラムで透過率の高い偏光は向きが一致するので、両者共、透過率の高いほうの偏光を選択することは可能である。
Claims (10)
- 入射光を曲げる形状を形成した入射面と、
空間内の特定角度範囲のみに光を拡散する拡散体を形成した、前記入射面に対向する出射面を有し、
前記入射面の形状は、前記入射面に入射した光を前記出射面に垂直方向に曲げ、平均周期200μm以下の溝又は山からなり、前記溝又は山は、ホログラムを構成し、
前記ホログラムは、入射角が60°±15°の白色光を出射面に垂直方向に曲げる透過型回折格子であって、光学材料の屈折率をnとし、平均の周期が5.0±1.0μm、平均の深さが(3.7±1.0)/(n−1)μmである鋸歯形状、または、該形状の溝が深さの50%未満だけ埋まっている形状であり、前記平均の周期dと鋸歯の山の位置ずれuが、u/d≦0.2の範囲にあり、
前記出射面に形成された拡散体は、前記溝又は山の方向を拡散方向とした異方性拡散体であること
を特徴とする光学フィルム。 - 前記鋸歯形状は、Nレベル(N=4,5,6・・・)で近似したものであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の光学フィルム。
- 前記出射面の拡散体の拡散角度が、全ての方向において10度以下であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の光学フィルム。
- 前記出射面の拡散体のヘイズ値が50%以下であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の光学フィルム。
- 前記出射面の拡散体が、エンボス加工によって作られたものであることを特徴とする請求項3または4に記載の光学フィルム。
- 前記エンボス加工は、スペックルパターンが形成された電鋳型からの転写によるものであることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の光学フィルム。
- 前記エンボス加工は、微細凹凸形状が形成された金型ロールからの転写によるものであることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の光学フィルム。
- 請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の光学フィルムを導光板の光出射面上に配置してなる面光源装置において、光学フィルムの入射光を曲げる形状が形成されている入射面を導光板側に向けて設定することを特徴とする面光源装置。
- 前記導光板が、光出射面に異方性拡散特性を有するホログラム拡散体を一体整形してあることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の面光源装置。
- 前記導光板と光学フィルムの間、もしくは光学フィルムの光出射面上に、偏光分離、色分離または反射防止の機能を有するフィルムを配置したことを特徴とする請求項8または9に記載の面光源装置。
