Description
Claims (5)
- 平面発光領域から光を放射する固体面発光光源と、
前記固体面発光光源の一方の面側に設けられている反射部と、
前記固体面発光光源の他方の面側に設けられ、光学的透明部材からなる角錐プリズムと、を有し、
前記角錐プリズムの底面は、前記平面発光領域と略同一の大きさ及び形状であり、
前記角錐プリズムの斜面は、前記底面から前記角錐プリズムに入射した光のうち、前記斜面で屈折する光を特定の方向へ射出し、前記斜面で反射する光を前記底面の方向へ導き、
前記反射部は、前記斜面で反射され、前記底面と前記固体面発光光源とを透過した光を、前記角錐プリズムの方向へ再度反射し、
前記角錐プリズムは、4つの斜面を有する四角錐プリズムであり、
前記4つの斜面には、前記各斜面に対して特定の振動方向の偏光成分を透過し、前記特定の振動方向に略直交する偏光成分を反射する偏光分離膜が形成され、
対向する一対の前記斜面は、前記偏光分離膜上に、透過光の振動方向を略90°回転させる位相差板をさらに有し、
前記4つの斜面は、振動方向の揃った光を射出することを特徴とする光源装置。 - 前記角錐プリズムの対向する斜面のなす頂角は略90°であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光源装置。
- 前記底面には、入射光を散乱させる拡散板が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の光源装置。
- 前記底面には、1/4波長板又は偏光光の振動方向をランダムにする拡散板が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3の何れか一項に記載の光源装置。
- 請求項1〜4の何れか一項に記載の光源装置と、
前記光源装置からの光を画像信号に応じて変調する空間光変調装置と、
変調された光を投写する投写レンズとを有することを特徴とするプロジェクタ。
