Claims (10)
- 基材上に所定のパターンにて配置されている多数のナノ構造体からなるナノ構造体アレイであって、
前記ナノ構造体が、所定の向きに配向されており且つその内側寸法が所定の微生物の寸法に等しく、前記パターンの間隔及び向きが、前記微生物を成長させるのに用いるパターニングされた栄養培地の間隔及び向きにより決定されることを特徴とする、ナノ構造体アレイ。 - ナノスケール構造体を製造する方法であって、
a)表面を有する基材を設けるステップと、
b)前記基材の前記表面上に栄養培地を付着させるステップと、
c)前記栄養培地上に微生物を導入するステップと、
d)細長い微生物を成長させて、配向された犠牲心棒を形成するステップと、
e)任意選択的に前記栄養培地の一部を除去するステップと、
f)前記配向された犠牲心棒の各々を、所望のナノチューブ材料からなる外層でコーティングするステップと、
g)配向されたナノチューブを残しつつ、前記犠牲心棒を除去するステップと、
を包含する方法。 - さらに、h)前記栄養培地をパターニングして、互いに隔置されている多数の栄養培地島状物を形成するステップ、を包含する請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記細長い微生物が概ね円柱形であり、該概ね円柱形の微生物が固有の径を有しており、前記栄養培地をパターニングするステップh)が、前記概ね円柱形の微生物の前記固有の径に等しいか又はそれより大きい少なくとも1つの横方向寸法を有する島状物を形成するステップを包含する請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記基材の前記表面が、前記微生物の成長できない材料からなる、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも前記微生物を導入するステップc)及び成長させるステップd)が、望ましくない有機体が概ね存在せず、微生物成長のために相応しいように制御されている照明及び温度を有する環境において実施される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記配向された犠牲心棒の各々を所望のナノチューブ材料からなる外層でコーティングするステップf)を実施する前に、i)前記犠牲心棒の各々をポリマーからなる中間層でコーティングするステップ、をさらに包含する、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 請求項2に記載の方法によって製造されるナノ構造体アレイを含む集積回路。
- 微生物を用いてナノチューブを製造する方法であって、
a)表面を有する基材を設けるステップと、
b)前記基材の前記表面上に栄養培地を付着させるステップと、
c)前記栄養培地上に微生物又はその散布体を導入するステップと、
d)細長い微生物を成長させて、配向された犠牲心棒を形成するステップと、
e)任意選択的に前記栄養培地の一部を除去するステップと、
f)前記配向された犠牲心棒の各々を、所望のナノチューブ材料からなる外層でコーティングするステップと、
g)配向されたナノチューブを残しつつ、前記犠牲心棒を除去するステップと、
を包含する方法。 - 基材に支持されているナノスケール構造体を製造するための心棒固定物であって、
a)前記基材に対して前記ナノスケール構造体を支持し且つ配向させるための手段であって、それが微生物である、前記手段と、
b)前記ナノスケール構造体を支持し且つ配向させるための微生物手段を強化するための手段であって、それがポリマーコーティングである、前記手段と、
を組み合わせてなる、心棒固定物。
