Claims (19)
- 緊急シャットダウン装置と、該緊急シャットダウン装置を動作させることにより緊急シャットダウンテストを行なう緊急シャットダウン装置コントローラと、前記緊急シャットダウン装置の動作に関連する物理量を示すセンサデータを出力するセンサとを備えた、プロセス制御環境における緊急シャットダウンテストシステムであって、
前記緊急シャットダウン装置コントローラは、
プロセッサと、
該プロセッサに結合され、緊急シャットダウンテスト手順が格納されたメモリと、
前記プロセッサに直接結合されると共にユーザにアクセス可能なスイッチに直接結合され、該スイッチからの2値信号を受信するように構成された補助入力と、
前記メモリに格納され、前記補助入力を監視し、前記補助入力における前記スイッチからの前記2値信号の受信に応じて前記緊急シャットダウンテスト手順を行なわせるように、前記プロセッサ上で実行されるように構成された第1のルーチンと、
前記メモリに格納され、前記緊急シャットダウンテスト中に、前記センサからのセンサデータを取得し、該センサデータを前記メモリに格納させるように、前記プロセッサ上で実行されるように構成された第2のルーチンと、
前記メモリに格納され、前記センサから取得されたセンサデータを前記メモリに格納された少なくとも一つの所定の限界値と比較し、該データと前記少なくとも一つの限界値との差が所定の閾値よりも大きい場合に警報を生成するように、前記プロセッサ上で実行されるように構成された第3のルーチンと
を具備したことを特徴とする緊急シャットダウンテストシステム。 - 通信ユニットをさらに備え、該通信ユニットは、前記プロセッサに結合され、ポータブル通信ユニットと通信する請求項1記載の緊急シャットダウンテストシステム。
- 前記第1のルーチンは、前記補助入力を監視して該補助入力で所定時間持続する前記スイッチからの2値信号をチェックし、前記補助入力において該所定時間持続する2値信号を受信しない限り、前記緊急シャットダウンテスト手順を起動しないように構成されている請求項1記載の緊急シャットダウンテストシステム。
- 前記第1、第2及び第3のルーチンは、前記センサデータを収集するためにバルブに特化した設定可能なルーチンからなる請求項1記載の緊急シャットダウンテストシステム。
- 前記緊急シャットダウン装置は、緊急シャットダウンバルブを具備している請求項1記載の緊急シャットダウンテストシステム。
- 前記第2のルーチンは、さらに、前記緊急シャットダウンバルブのバルブプラグセットポイントを、前記センサからの前記緊急シャットダウンバルブの実際のバルブステム位置を示すセンサデータと比較させるように構成されている請求項5記載の緊急シャットダウンテストシステム。
- 前記緊急シャットダウンテスト手順は、前記緊急シャットダウンバルブに対する部分的なストロークテストを含んでいる請求項5記載の緊急シャットダウンテストシステム。
- 前記メモリに格納された第2のルーチンは、さらに、前記緊急シャットダウンバルブのバルブプラグが移動したときに、前記センサからの前記緊急シャットダウンバルブのバルブステム位置を示すセンサデータを前記プロセッサに自動的に取得させるように構成されている請求項5記載の緊急シャットダウンテストシステム。
- 前記緊急シャットダウン装置のコントローラは、さらに、前記センサからのアナログ入力を前記プロセッサによる利用のためのデジタルデータに変換するアナログ・デジタル(「A/D」)変換器を具備している請求項5記載の緊急シャットダウンテストシステム。
- 前記A/D変換器によって変換された前記アナログ入力は、バルブステム移動、ライン圧力、及びループ電流からなるセンサ入力群から選択されたアナログ入力を含んでいる請求項9記載の緊急シャットダウンテストシステム。
- 前記第2のルーチンは、さらに、前記緊急シャットダウンテスト中に、前記プロセッサに結合される複数の入力を監視し、前記緊急シャットダウンテストを中止させるいくつかの条件のうちの1つを監視するように構成されている請求項1記載の緊急シャットダウンテストシステム。
- 前記条件は、最小の部分的なストローク圧力、移動偏差、及びバルブスタックからなる条件のグループから選択される請求項11記載の緊急シャットダウンテストシステム。
- 緊急シャットダウンバルブの緊急シャットダウンテストを行なう方法であって、
コントローラのプロセッサにより、該プロセッサに直接結合されると共にユーザがアクセス可能なテスト始動スイッチに直接結合されている補助入力を監視するステップと、
前記補助入力における前記テスト始動スイッチからの2値信号の受信に応じて、前記プロセッサにより前記コントローラのメモリに格納されている緊急シャットダウンテストルーチンを起動するステップと、
前記緊急シャットダウンバルブの動作に関連する物理量を示すセンサデータを出力するセンサからセンサデータを取得し、該センサデータを前記メモリに格納するステップと、
前記センサデータを前記メモリに格納されている少なくとも1つの所定の限界値と比較し、前記センサデータと前記少なくとも1つの所定の限界値との差が所定の閾値よりも大きい場合に、アラームを生成するステップと
を有する方法。 - アラームが生成される場合に、前記緊急シャットダウンテストを中止させるステップをさらに有する請求項13記載の方法。
- 前記センサデータをポータブル通信ユニットに転送するステップをさらに有する請求項13記載の方法。
- 前記センサデータを比較するステップは、バルブプラグセットポイントを前記センサからの実際のバルブステム位置と比較することを含んでいる請求項13記載の方法。
- 前記緊急シャットダウンテストルーチンを格納するステップは、前記緊急シャットダウンバルブのための部分的なストロークテストを格納することを含んでいる請求項13記載の方法。
- センサからのアナログ入力を、前記コントローラのプロセッサによる利用のために、デジタルデータに変換するステップをさらに有する請求項13記載の方法。
- 前記コントローラのプロセッサに結合される複数の入力を監視して、前記緊急シャットダウンテストを中止させるいくつかの条件のうちの1つを監視するステップをさらに有する請求項13記載の方法。
