Description
前記データ記号から成る前記第1のブロックと第4の定数個のパリティ記号から成る第2のブロックとを有する定数個の記号を持つ符号ワードを得るために、誤り訂正符号符号化器を利用して前記データ記号から成る前記第1のブロックを符号化するステップと、
前記符号ワードから、所定の第5の数のユーザデータ記号と所定の第6の数のパリティ記号とを選択することにより符号ベクトルを生成するステップと、
を有し、前記第5の数と前記第6の数との合計は予め決定され、前記第2の定数と前記第4の定数との合計よりも小さい。
前記符号ベクトル中に埋め込まれた前記ユーザデータ記号を得るため、誤り訂正符号復号化器を利用して前記符号ワードを復号化するステップを有する。
Claims (14)
- ユーザデータを誤り訂正符号を含む符号ベクトルに符号化する方法であって、
第1の定数個のデータ記号から成る第1のブロックを、前記第1の定数より少ない第2の定数個のユーザデータ記号と第3の定数個のダミーデータ記号とを用いることにより、及び前記ユーザデータ記号と前記ダミーデータ記号とを所定の順序で整列させることにより生成するステップと、
前記データ記号から成る前記第1のブロックと第4の定数個のパリティ記号から成る第2のブロックとを有する、定数個の記号を持つ符号ワードを得るために、誤り訂正符号符号化器を利用して前記データ記号から成る前記第1のブロックを符号化するステップと、
前記符号ワードから、所定の第5の数のユーザデータ記号と所定の第6の数のパリティ記号とを選択することにより符号ベクトルを生成するステップと、
を有し、前記第5の数と前記第6の数との合計は予め決定され、前記第2の定数と前記第4の定数との合計よりも小さい方法。 - 誤り訂正符号を含む符号ベクトルをユーザデータに復号化する方法であって、前記符号ベクトルは請求項1に記載の方法によって符号化され所定の第5の数のユーザデータ記号と所定の第6の数のパリティ記号とを有する方法において、
所定の順序で整列された、前記第3の定数個のダミーデータ記号と、前記符号ベクトルと、第7の数の埋め込み記号とを有する符号ワードを生成するステップを有し、ここで前記第3、第5、第6及び第7の数の合計は、前記第1及び第4の定数の合計と等しく、前記方法は更に、
前記符号ベクトル中に埋め込まれた前記ユーザデータ記号を得るため、誤り訂正符号復号化器を利用して前記符号ワードを復号化するステップを有する方法。 - 前記符号ワードを復号化する前に、前記符号ワードが前記誤り訂正符号復号化器によって訂正されるべき埋め込み記号を含むことを示す削除フラグを前記誤り訂正符号復号化器に供給するステップを更に有する、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記削除フラグは、前記符号ワード中の前記埋め込み記号の位置及び/又は数を前記誤り訂正符号復号化器に示す、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記符号ワードの生成は、前記ダミーデータ記号、前記符号ベクトル、及び前記埋め込み記号の順序が、前記符号化器によって符号化された符号ワードの順序に対応するように制御され、前記埋め込み記号は、前記符号ベクトル中には含まれない、前記符号化器によって符号化された前記符号ワードのユーザデータ記号及び/又はパリティ記号の位置に配置される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記方法はそれぞれ、とりわけCD、DVD又はDVRディスクのような光記録担体に記録されるべきユーザデータを符号化又は復号化するために利用される、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記方法はそれぞれ、特殊用途領域又はバースト・カッティング・エリアにおいてDVRディスクに保存されるべき、及びロングディスタンス符号ワード又はバースト・インジケータ・サブコード符号ワードの符号ベクトルを復号化するために利用される誤り訂正符号復号化器によって復号化されるべきユーザデータを符号化又は復号化するために利用される、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記誤り訂正符号は、(32,16,17)符号であり、前記誤り訂正符号符号化器及び復号化器は、それぞれ(248,216,33)リードソロモン符号又は(62,30,33)リードソロモン符号を符号化又は復号化するように構成される、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記符号ワードの復号化の間、前記復号化器によって既知のユーザデータ記号が利用される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- ユーザデータを誤り訂正符号を含む符号ベクトルに符号化する装置であって、
第1の定数個のデータ記号から成る第1のブロックを、前記第1の定数より少ない第2の定数個のユーザデータ記号と第3の定数個のダミーデータ記号とを用いることにより、及び前記ユーザデータ記号と前記ダミーデータ記号とを所定の順序で整列させることにより生成する手段と、
前記データ記号から成る前記第1のブロックと第4の定数個のパリティ記号から成る第2のブロックとを有する、定数個の情報記号を持つ符号ワードを得るために、前記データ記号から成る前記第1のブロックを符号化するための誤り訂正符号符号化器と、
前記符号ワードから、所定の第5の数のユーザデータ記号と所定の第6の数のパリティ記号とを選択することにより符号ベクトルを生成する手段と、
を有し、前記第5の数と前記第6の数との合計は予め決定され、前記第2の定数と前記第4の定数との合計よりも小さい装置。 - 誤り訂正符号を含む符号ベクトルをユーザデータに復号化する装置であって、前記符号ベクトルは請求項1に記載の方法によって符号化され、所定の第5の数のユーザデータ記号と所定の第6の数のパリティ記号とを有する装置において、
所定の順序で整列された、前記第3の定数個のダミーデータ記号と、前記符号ベクトルと、前記第7の数の埋め込み記号とを有する符号ワードを生成する手段を有し、ここで前記第3、第5、第6及び第7の数の合計は、前記第1及び第4の数の合計と等しく、前記装置は更に、
前記符号ベクトル中に埋め込まれた前記ユーザデータ記号を得るため、前記符号ワードを復号化する誤り訂正符号復号化器を有する装置。 - 請求項1に記載の方法によって符号化された誤り訂正符号を含む符号ベクトルを保存する、とりわけ光記録媒体のような情報担体。
- あるタイプの情報について請求項1に記載の方法によって符号化された誤り訂正符号を含む符号ベクトルを保存し、かつ他のタイプの情報についての符号ワードをも保存する情報担体。
- コンピュータ上で動作する場合に請求項1又は2に記載の方法のステップを実行するためのプログラムコード手段を有するコンピュータプログラム。
