Claims (4)
- 入力電気信号を符号化する差動符号化器と、
前記符号化された2−レベルの電気信号を3−レベル信号に変換するデュオバイナリフィルタと、
連続性光を発生する光源と、
前記連続性光の偏光を調節する偏光器と、
前記偏光器から出力された光を2つの電極に分岐して受信し、該電極の一方では前記デュオバイナリフィルタから入力された3−レベルのデュオバイナリ信号に従って偏光変調すると共に前記電極の他方では位相調整するマッハツェンダ変調器と、
前記マッハツェンダ変調器の他方の電極に入射される光の偏光軸を前記マッハツェンダ変調器の電界−光学効果軸に一致させるファラデー回転子と、から構成されることを特徴とする偏光デュオバイナリ光伝送装置。 - 前記デュオバイナリフィルタを駆動するための駆動増幅器をさらに備える請求項1に記載の偏光デュオバイナリ光伝送装置。
- 前記偏光器は、マッハツェンダ光変調器の電界−光学効果軸に対して45度程度の角度傾くものである請求項1に記載の偏光デュオバイナリ光伝送装置。
- 前記デュオバイナリフィルタは、入力電気信号の帯域幅より小さい帯域幅を有するローパスフィルタから構成される請求項1に記載の偏光デュオバイナリ光伝送装置。
