Claims (10)
- 波長1550nmにおいて、FOMが200ps/nm/dB以上であり、RDCの絶対値が10 −4 nm −2 以下であり、RDSが0.005nm −1 〜0.009nm −1 であるモジュール化される分散補償光ファイバであって、
中心軸を含み最大屈折率n1を有する第1コア領域と、該第1コア領域を取り囲み屈折率n2(ただし、n1>n2)を有する第2コア領域と、該第2コア領域を取り囲み屈折率n3(ただし、n2<n3)を有する第3コア領域と、該第3コア領域を取り囲み屈折率n4(ただし、n3>n4)を有するクラッド領域と、を有し、
前記クラッド領域の屈折率n4を基準として、前記第1コア領域の比屈折率差が2.0%〜3.3%の範囲にあり、前記第2コア領域の比屈折率差が−1.5%〜−0.2%の範囲にあり、前記第3コア領域の比屈折率差が0.2%〜0.5%の範囲にあり、
前記第1コア領域の外径(2a)と前記第3コア領域の外径(2c)との比(a/c)が0.15〜0.30の範囲にあり、
前記第2コア領域の外径(2b)と前記第3コア領域の外径(2c)との比(b/c)が0.40〜0.64の範囲にある、
ことを特徴とする分散補償光ファイバ。 - 直径120mmで巻いたときの波長1630nmにおける曲げ損失が0.1dB/km以下であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の分散補償光ファイバ。
- 波長1630nmにおけるPetermannIの定義に拠るモードフィールド径が14.5μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の分散補償光ファイバ。
- 請求項1記載の分散補償光ファイバがコイル状に巻かれてなることを特徴とする分散補償器。
- 波長1550nmにおける総波長分散をDDCF(ps/nm)としたときに、波長1550nmにおける挿入損失(dB)が「−0.005・DDCF+0.4」以下である、ことを特徴とする請求項4記載の分散補償器。
- 波長1550nmにおける総波長分散をDDCF(ps/nm)としたときに、波長1550nmにおける非線形係数γとファイバ実効長Leffとの積(rad./W)が「−0.04・DDCF」以下である、ことを特徴とする請求項4記載の分散補償器。
- 請求項4記載の分散補償器が中継区間に敷設されてなることを特徴とする光伝送路。
- 波長1550nmにおいて波長分散が3.0ps/nm/km〜5.5ps/nm/kmの範囲にあってRDSが0.005nm−1〜0.009nm−1の範囲にある伝送用光ファイバと、
該伝送用光ファイバに接続された請求項4記載の分散補償器と、
を備え、
これら伝送用光ファイバおよび分散補償器が中継区間に敷設されている、
ことを特徴とする光伝送路。 - 前記伝送用光ファイバの波長1550nmにおける波長分散をDt(ps/nm/km)とし長さをL(km)としたときに、波長範囲1530nm〜1565nmにおける全体の総波長分散(ps/nm)の絶対値が「0.01・Dt・L」以下である、ことを特徴とする請求項8記載の光伝送路。
- 波長範囲1530nm〜1565nmにおける全体の総波長分散(ps/nm)の絶対値が「0.005・Dt・L」以下であることを特徴とする請求項9記載の光伝送路。
