Description
また、被覆部材の接着時に障害を与える様な溶融塊の広がりやはみ出しがないブラシの製造方法が得られる。特に、本発明は、植毛基部の外縁部に起立壁部が全くない場合、あるいは一部にしかない場合において植毛基部と被覆部材との接着領域を確保する上で有効である。
本実施形態では、個々の植毛孔21の開口周縁部210及び個々の用毛束3の片端部に走査照射するために、ビーム径は0.1〜4mmであることが好ましい。なお、レーザービームのエネルギーを高めて細かな走査形態で、個々の植毛孔21の開口周縁部210の溶融変形並びに個々の用毛束3に溶融塊30を形成する場合は、0.1〜1mmであることがより好ましい。
また、レーザービームの走査速度は、開口周縁部210及び開口内周面部211の溶融変形並びに溶融塊30の形成に必要な熱容量と溶融時間を確保する点から60〜800mm/秒(出力12〜50Wにおいて)であることが好ましい。
本実施形態の歯ブラシの製造方法では、上記歯ブラシ1を好適に製造することができる。

Claims (6)
- 複数の植毛孔を有する植毛基部の該植毛孔に用毛束を挿入し、前記植毛孔から突出する前記用毛束の片端部を加熱して溶融塊を形成し、しかる後前記溶融塊を被覆材で被覆するブラシの製造方法であって、
前記溶融塊を形成するときに、該溶融塊の広がり又は前記用毛束を溶融させるときに発生する飛沫の前記植毛基部への付着を規制する規制手段を該植毛基部に配しておくブラシの製造方法。 - 前記植毛基部は外縁部に起立壁部を有し、前記規制手段は、該起立壁部の内面を覆い且つ該起立壁部と前記溶融塊との間に隙間を設ける壁部を有している請求項1記載のブラシの製造方法。
- 前記植毛基部は、外縁部に起立壁部を有していない請求項1記載のブラシの製造方法。
- 前記用毛束の前記片端部を非接触式溶融手段で溶融させる請求項1〜3の何れかに記載のブラシの製造方法。
- 前記非接触式溶融手段がレーザービームである請求項4記載のブラシの製造方法。
- 前記用毛束の前記片端部を接触式溶融手段で溶融させる請求項1〜3の何れかに記載のブラシの製造方法。
