Description
表Iに示す配合において、加硫促進剤、硫黄、熱膨張性マイクロカプセルを除く成分を1.8リットルの密閉型ミキサーで3〜5分間混練し、165±5℃に達したときに放出してマスターバッチを得た。このマスターバッチに加硫促進剤、硫黄、熱膨張性マイクロカプセルを8インチのオープンロールで混練し、ゴム組成物を得た。得られたゴム組成物(未加硫)を15×15×0.2cmの金型中で160℃で20分間プレス加硫して目的とする試験片(ゴムシート)を調製し、加硫ゴムの膨張率及び氷上摩擦力を評価した。結果は表Iに示す。

水系として、固形分40%のコロイダルシリカ45g、ジエタノールアミン−アジピン酸縮合物1g、塩化ナトリウムを150g、イオン交換水500gを加えて混合後、pH3.5に調整し、水系分散媒体を製造した。油系として、アクリロニトリル70g、メタクリロニトリル70g、メタクリル酸70g、エチレングリコールジメタクリレートを3g、アゾビス(2,4−ジメチルバレロニトリル)1gを混合して均一溶液の単量体混合物とし、これを、イソペンタン20g、2−メチルペンタン30gとともにオートクレーブ中に仕込み混合した。その後、水系分散媒体をオートクレーブ中に仕込み、5分間700rpm で撹拌後、窒素置換し、反応温度60℃で8時間反応させた。反応圧力は0.5MPa 、撹拌は350rpm で行った。この反応により作成された熱膨張性マイクロカプセルの熱膨張特性分析を行った。実際にパーキンエルマー社製のTMA−7型を用いて、特開平11−002616号公報に記載の方法で膨張特性の分析を行ったところ、発泡開始温度は160℃、最大膨張温度は200℃であった。
加硫ゴム(膨張率):JIS K2249に準拠して測定した加硫ゴムの比重を各配合剤の比重と配合量から求めた計算比重(理論値)で除算し、1.0からの差を膨張率とした。
氷上摩擦力(−1.5℃):各コンパウンドを加硫したシートを偏平円柱状の台ゴムにはりつけ、インサイドドラム型氷上摩擦試験機を用いて、測定温度−1.5℃、荷重0.54MPa 、ドラム回転速度25km/hで測定した。比較例1の値を100として指数表示した。この値が大きいほど氷上性能にすぐれることを示す。
表IIに示す配合において、上記例と同様にしてゴム組成物を得、その加硫物性(硬さ及び比重)を以下の方法で測定し、結果を表IIに示した。

Claims (4)
- ジエン系ゴム100重量部及び熱によって気化又は膨張して気体を発生させる物質を内包した熱可塑性樹脂粒子からなる熱膨張性マイクロカプセル0.5〜25重量部を含むゴム組成物であって、前記熱膨張性マイクロカプセルが160〜185℃で熱膨張し、その殻材が、それぞれ熱可塑性樹脂当り、単量体であるニトリル系単量体(I)40〜90重量%、分子中に不飽和二重結合とカルボキシル基を有する単量体(II)7〜50重量%、2以上の重合性二重結合を有する単量体(III)0.05〜5重量%及び、必要に応じ、膨張特性を調整するための共重合可能な単量体(IV)0〜20重量%から重合された熱可塑性樹脂から構成されるタイヤトレッド用ゴム組成物。
- 前記熱膨張性マイクロカプセルの殻材が、それぞれ熱可塑性樹脂当り、ニトリル系単量体(I)40〜90重量%、分子中に不飽和二重結合とカルボキシル基を有する単量体(II)7〜50重量%、2以上の重合性二重結合を有する単量体(III)0.2〜3重量%及び必要により膨張特性を調整するための共重合可能な単量体(IV)0〜15重量%を重合した熱可塑性樹脂である請求項1に記載のゴム組成物。
- 前記熱膨張性マイクロカプセルが、単独で加熱膨張させた膨張体に加重15MPa をかけた後の膨張体の体積保持率が50%以上である請求項1又は2に記載のゴム組成物。
- 前記熱膨張性マイクロカプセルの殻材が、重合開始剤として、反応温度で1〜25時間の半減期を有する、油溶性の過酸化物又はアゾビス系化合物を用いて重合したものである請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のゴム組成物。
