こうした構成のウエザーストリップにおいて、ストッパー部32の先端中央部を陥没させて、筒壁を周設したものが存在する。このストッパー部32は、筒壁を周設しているのでクッション性に富み、フロントドア2の回動をより円滑に規制することができるといった利点がある。

しかし、このストッパー部32は、フロントドア2と吸着し易く、そのため、ドア閉時やドア開時に異音(いわゆる引っ付き異音)を発生させてしまうと言った問題がある。

本発明はこうした問題に鑑み創案されたもので、ドア開閉時に他方のドアまたはボディに吸着することによって引っ付き異音を発生させるといった事態を未然に防止することのできるストッパー部を備えたウエザーストリップを提供することを課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
図1乃至図4を参照して説明する。第一の発明に係るストッパー部付きウエザーストリップ10は、センターピラーを持たず、フロントドア2がその前端部でボディ1にヒンジ4で結合されると共に、リヤドア3がその後端部でボディ1にヒンジ4で結合された自動車のピラーレス観音ドアにおいて、前記リヤドア3に取付けられ、フロントドア2閉時に、当該フロントドア2に弾接してその回動を規制するストッパー部12を型成形部11に形成したウエザーストリップであり、前記ストッパー部12の先端中央部に陥没部13を設けて筒壁14を周設し、その筒壁14に少なくとも一つ以上の切欠き溝15を設けてなる。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明に係るストッパー部付きウエザーストリップ10の実施形態を、図1乃至図4に示す。1はボディパネル、2はフロントドアパネル、3はリヤドアパネル、4はフロントドアの前端又はリヤドア3の後端に設けたヒンジ、5はボディ開口部の周縁に設けたオープニングシール、16,17はリヤドアの前端に前後にずらして設けた外シール部及び内シールで、リヤドア完閉状態で、フロントドアを閉じると、フロントドアの後縁2aが接触してシールを行うものである。外シール部16及び内シール部17の上下両端部は型成形品11で、前方に延びる鰭部17aを有しており、この鰭部17aがオープニングシール5とフロントドア2との間に挟まれるようになっている。そして、ウエザーストリップ10は、センターピラーを持たず、フロントドア2がその前端部でボディ1にヒンジ4で結合されると共に、リヤドア3がその後端部でボディ1にヒンジ4で結合された自動車のピラーレス観音ドアにおいて、前記リヤドア3に取付けられるものである。

また、このウエザーストリップ10は、その前端部に、フロントドア2の車内側40の段部2aとボディ1に取付けたオープニングシール5のそれぞれに弾接する内シール部17と、フロントドア2の車外側50の段部2bに弾接する外シール部16とを備えており、ストッパー部12は、その外シール部16に隣接して設けている。なお、フロントドア2にも、シール部材(ウエザーストリップ)20を取付けている。

こうした構成のウエザーストリップ10において、ストッパー部12の先端中央部を陥没形成して陥没部13を形成することによって、周端部に添った筒壁14を突設している。そして、その筒壁14に二つの切欠き溝15を刻設している。なお、ストッパー部12は、その付根部の径を先端部の径よりやや大きく設定した略短円柱状としている。

このストッパー部付きウエザーストリップ10の作用について説明する。リヤドア3を閉じた状態でフロントドア2を閉じると、当該リヤドア3に取付けたウエザーストリップ10の前端部がフロントドア2の後端部に突き当たる。このとき、ウエザーストリップ10のストッパー部12がフロントドア2に弾接するが、当該ストッパー部12の筒壁14には切欠き溝15を形成しているので、従来発生していた引っ付き異音の発生を未然に防止することができる。

すなわち、切欠き溝15を形成したことによって、フロントドア2を閉じた際に、陥没部13内の空気を当該切欠き溝15を通過させて外部へ逃がすことができる。従って、陥没部13内は減圧されないので、ストッパー部12がフロントドア2に吸着することを阻止し、その結果、吸着することによって生じる引っ付き異音の発生を未然に防止することができる。また、切欠き溝15を形成したことにより、筒壁14とフロントドア2との密着面積が減少させることができ、これによっても引っ付き異音の発生を抑えることができる。
