本発明は、内面が離型処理された熱可塑性プラスチックフィルムで構成される衛生用品用の個装袋、及びその製造方法に関するものであり、特に生理用ナプキンや紙オムツなどの衛生用品に用いられる個装袋における離型処理面のシール方法に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、例えば生理用ナプキンは、その形態の利便性、衛生上の理由などから、,紙あるいはプラスチックフィルムで1個ごとに包装したいわゆる個別包装の形態をとっているものが多く、一般に使用者は個別包装のシール部分を切り裂いて開封し、中のナプキンを取り出している。 この生理用ナプキンは着用時のずれを防止するために、両端もしくはその近傍にズレ防止用に粘着部を有する構造をとっているタイプが一般的で、通常、開封までは、その粘着部が紙あるいはプラスチックフィルムからなるセパレーターで保護されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしこのタイプでは、ナプキン装着時に剥がしたセパレーターが足元に散乱したり、静電気によって使用者にまとわりつき、その結果使用者は後処理に手間取るといった不都合があった。 またセパレーターは不要物として捨てられるため、資源の有効利用の観点からも望ましくはなかった。 これらの欠点を解決するため、プラスチックフィルムの内面を長鎖アルキル系やシリコーン系樹脂等の離型処理剤で直接離型処理し、セパレーターを無くしたタイプが考案されている。

また熱可塑性プラスチックフィルムを用いて個装袋を作製する場合、フィルムの融点付近の温度で周辺部をヒートシールするのが一般的である。 しかし、離型処理されたフィルムのヒートシールにおいて、離型処理面同士あるいは離型処理面と非離型処理面がそれぞれ向かい合った場合、離型処理層に阻害されるためヒートヒールすることは困難であった。 そのため例えば筋塗り離型処理などを施し、離型処理層が存在しない部分でヒートシールする方式がとられ、結果的にコスト高につながっていた。 また、フィルム融点よりも高い温度でヒートシールを行った場合、フィルムの破壊とともに離型処理層も破壊され、フィルム同士が溶着する場合もあるが、強固に溶着しすぎるため開封時にフィルムが延伸して破れにくいなどの不都合があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明者らはかかる状況下に鑑み、本発明において離型処理フィルムの離型処理面同士あるいは離型処理面と非離型処理面との新しいシール方法を提案し、さらにその方法により得られる開封容易な新規なセパレーターレス個装袋を提供することにより、前記種々の問題点を解決しようとするものである。

即ち本発明は、少なくとも片面の面が離型処理された熱可塑性プラスチックフィルムの離型処理面同士あるいは離型処理面と非離型処理面をそれぞれ向かい合わせ、該フィルムの周辺部を、金属製の針状突起物を表面に有する板状物を用いて加熱プレスすることにより、該フィルムの周辺部を間欠的にシールして、内面に離型処理層を有するプラスチック袋を作製することを特徴とする衛生用品用の個装袋の製造方法に関する。

以下、本発明の実例を図面に基づいて説明する。
図1は、本発明で用いる針状突起物3を表面に有する金属板Aの拡大斜視図である。 この針状突起物3の形状、サイズは、熱可塑性プラスチックフィルムに容易に孔が開けられるものであれば、特に限定されるものではないが、製品のサイズ等を考慮すると、通常太部の直径が0.2 〜1.5mm 程度、配置間隔は0.2 〜5mm 程度とするのが望ましい。

本発明においては、まず離型処理層2,2’を有する2枚の熱可塑性プラスチックフィルム1、1’を、これら離型処理層2及び2’が向かい合うように、例えばゴムシートの如き基台5上に設置する。 次いで上記熱可塑性プラスチックフィルム1及び1’の軟化温度程度にあらかじめ加熱した前記針状突起物3を表面に有する金属板Aで、熱可塑性プラスチックフィルム1、1’の周辺部をプレスすることにより、該フィルムに貫通孔を開ける。 図2は、その貫通孔付近の断面拡大図であり、離型処理層2及び2’によって接触を妨げられていた外側の熱可塑性プラスチックフィルム1及び1’が加熱された針状突起物3の貫通と共に、その孔の断面から離型処理層の下地の熱可塑性プラスチックフィルムが露出する形となり、該プラスチックフィルムが加熱された突起物に触れて接触部4で溶融・融着し、間欠的シールが形成される。
本方法によれば、針状突起物を押し込み、引き抜くだけで容易にしかも短時間に間欠的シールが形成できるため、非常に効率的であるという利点がある。

上記シールを形成する箇所は、上記フィルムの周辺部であって、少なくとも2辺であり、その目的によって選択することができる。
また本発明で用いる熱可塑性プラスチックフィルムとしては、特に限定されないが、例えば厚さ10〜50μm程度のポリエチレン等のベースフィルムの少なくとも片面にシリコーン系、長鎖アルキル系樹脂等の離型剤で離型処理されたフィルムが挙げられる。 また加熱温度は、用いるフィルムの軟化温度や厚さ等を考慮して適宜設定することができるが、例えばフィルムがポリエチレンの場合、100 〜140 ℃程度が好ましい。

また本発明においては、上記貫通孔を開ける手段として、金属製の針状突起物で表面が覆われたロール状物を用いることにより、目的とする間欠的シールの形成を連続的に行うことができる。 図3は、この針状突起物を表面に有するロール6を用いてシールする場合を説明するための斜視図である。 原理は図1の金属板Aを用いた場合と同様であり、ロール6に熱をかけてゴムロール7との間でプレスすることにより、2枚の離型処理した熱可塑性プラスチックフィルム8及び8’の離型処理面同士あるいは離型処理面と非離型処理面との、間欠的シール部9を連続的に形成することができる。

また本発明においては、該フィルムの周辺部のシール形成を、凹凸板や凹凸ロールを用いた超音波溶着法により行うこともでき、例えばいわゆる超音波ミシンを用いることにより、超音波溶着と機械的プレスを同時に行うことができる。
かかる方法は、発振機からでた電気エネルギーが振動エネルギーにかわり、それが溶着ローラーと工具ホーンの間で熱可塑性プラスチックフィルムに伝播し、分子間歪の摩擦熱に変換されてフィルムの溶融が起こり、間欠的シールが形成される。 その出力は20kHz が一般的であるが、振幅、圧力、処理時間等は特に限定されるものではなく、フィルムの種類、厚みによって最適な条件を設定すれば良い。 また上記超音波溶着法にさらにヒートプレスを組み合わせることにより、よりシール性を向上させて融着強度を上げることもできる。

また、本発明において最終的に個々の袋に仕上げる場合、シール部分で切断する必要があるが、上記シール作業と切断作業を同時に行うこともできる。 例えば前記金属板、熱ロール、超音波ロールに切断用刃を取付け、間欠的シール形成と同時に該シール部分で切断することができる。

【実施例】
本発明を実施例によりさらに詳細に説明する。
実施例1
片面全面をシリコーン樹脂で離型処理した2枚の熱可塑性プラスチックフィルム(ポリエチレン製、厚さ20μm)を、離型処理面が向かい合うようにゴムシート上に設置し、該フィルムの周辺部を100℃に加熱した金属製の針状突起物(太部の直径1mm、間隔2mm)を有する金属板にて、100g/cm2 の荷重を1秒間かけて加熱プレスすることにより、周辺部(四辺)をシールした。 その後シール部を切断して本発明の個装袋を作製した。

シール手段として、表面に針状突起物を有する水蒸気循環式の金属ロール(100℃)を用いて、1m/min の速度で流した以外は、実施例1と同様にしてシールし、切断して本発明の個装袋を作製した。

シール手段として、超音波溶着機を用い、出力250W、周波数20kHz 、溶着速度2m/min の速度で流した以外は、実施例1と同様にしてシールし、切断して本発明の個装袋を作製した。

実施例3における超音波溶着した後、100℃でヒートシールし切断して本発明の個装袋を作製した。

実施例1で用いたプラスチックフィルムを100℃でショップシーラー(富士インパルス社製)によりヒートシールし、切断して個装袋を作製した。

実施例及び比較例で得られたシール部のシール強度を、引張強度試験機にて測定したところ、以下の表1の如くであり、本発明によれば、シール部開封時にフィルムが破れることもなく、たとえ離型処理面同士であっても、良好にシールされていることが確認できた。

【発明の効果】
本発明によれば、たとえ離型処理フィルムの離型処理面同士あるいは離型処理面と非離型処理面とのシールであっても、良好かつ簡便にシールが得られるという利点があり、開封も容易で使い勝手のよい個装袋を提供することができる。

Claims (3)

  1. 少なくとも片面の面が離型処理された熱可塑性プラスチックフィルムの離型処理面同士あるいは離型処理面と非離型処理面をそれぞれ向かい合わせ、該フィルムの周辺部を、金属製の針状突起物を表面に有する板状物を用いて加熱プレスすることにより、該フィルムの周辺部を間欠的にシールして、内面に離型処理層を有するプラスチック袋を作製することを特徴とする衛生用品用の個装袋の製造方法。
  2. 少なくとも片面の面が離型処理された熱可塑性プラスチックフィルムの離型処理面同士あるいは離型処理面と非離型処理面をそれぞれ向かい合わせ、該フィルムの周辺部を、金属製の針状突起物を表面に有するロール状物を用いて加熱プレスすることにより、間欠的シール部を連続的に形成して、内面に離型処理層を有するプラスチック袋を作製することを特徴とする衛生用品用の個装袋の製造方法。
  3. 請求項1又は2記載の衛生用品用の個装袋の製造方法により作製された、生理用ナプキンあるいは紙オムツなどの衛生用品用の個装袋。
