Description
鋼より数倍小さい密度を有するチタンで作られた中間層は、外側鋼板より何倍もの厚みを有する。この外側鋼板は500〜600BHNの硬さを有し、一方で、内側に備わる鋼板は硬さでは半分にすぎない。
さらにその上に、金属で作られた基材に無機硬質材料で作られた硬質材料層を固定するために、種々の方法が知られている。第1の方法(ヨーロッパ特許第0 322 719 A1号、米国特許第3,804,034A号)では、炭化物、炭化物等、特に硼化チタン、二硼化チタン、炭化チタン、炭化珪素等が硬質材料として使用され、この硬質材料は熱及び圧力を用いて堆積される。第2の方法にしたがえば(ドイツ特許第21 62 692 A1号すなわち米国特許第3,871,026A号)、高合金鋼または高強度アルミニウム合金で作られた成形構成物は、酸化物、炭化物、窒化物等で接着状態に被覆され、それによって、これらの硬質材料は高温吹き付け被覆法、特に火炎吹き付け、プラズマ吹き付けまたは爆発法において堆積される。
最後に、アルミニウムで作られた覆い板を備えた複数のワイヤー層を含む軽量砲撃防御が既知であり(米国特許第3,826,172A号)、砲撃に直接されされるそれらの外側覆い板が、軟質アルミニウム層の防御のために硬質材料層を支持する。
a) 熱処理によって硬化可能な高強度鋼で作られた第1のストリップを、チタンまたはチタン合金で作られた第2のストリップとを圧延接合して複合ストリップにすること、
b) 上記複合ストリップから所定長さに切断した少なくとも一つの複合板を成形ボディに成形すること、
c) 高硬度の硬質材料層を、成形ボディのチタンまたはチタン合金の層の表面に堆積すること、
d) 上記成形ボディを熱処理すること、
によって解決される。
個々の層に対する種々の材料の負荷が最適である選択範囲は、砲撃の安全性と重量との間で最適比率すべきであるという必要条件に対して準備する。可能限り軽量であるいう重量の観点から、複合板を形成する二つの組の中では、チタン板を鋼板より厚くする必要がある。チタン板の厚みは1mmと4mmとの間にすべきであり、鋼板の厚みは1mmと3mmの間にすべきである。
Claims (3)
- 装甲成形ボディを製造する方法であって、
a)熱処理によって硬化可能な高強度鋼から作られた第1のストリップを、チタンまたはチタン合金から作られた第2のストリップとを圧延接合して複合ストリップにする工程、
b)前記複合ストリップから所定長さに切断した少なくとも一枚の複合板を成形ボディに成形する工程、
c)前記成形ボディのチタンまたはチタン合金の層の表面に、高硬度の硬質材料層を堆積する工程、
d)前記成形ボディを熱処理する工程
を特徴とする装甲成形ボディを製造する方法。 - 前記硬質材料層を火炎吹き付けによって堆積し、それによってTiN−、TiO2−、TiC−、Al2O3−、FeB−の粉末、または前記粉末の混合物が吹き付け材料として使用されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- FeBの粉末を被覆材料として使用するとき、前記成形ボディは、硬質材料層の堆積に引き続いて熱処理が施され且つ熱処理の際に前記FeBが基材のチタンとともにTiB2(硼化チタン)に変化することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
