BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a housing for an engine balancing device, and more particularly to a housing for rotatably receiving a balancer shaft having a counterweight for canceling an excitation force generated by an engine piston.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Two balancer shafts equipped with a counterweight for canceling the secondary vibration generated by the piston of the engine are placed under the crankshaft in the oil pan and cranked via a chain / sprocket mechanism or gear mechanism. A balancing device that transmits the rotation of the shaft to the balancer shaft is known, for example, in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-65148.
[0003]
In the publication disclosed in the above publication, a housing that rotatably receives a balancer shaft is disposed below a cylinder block of an engine whose cylinder axis is inclined in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the crankshaft. A mounting portion for mounting the engine oil strainer is integrally formed at a portion of the wall between the two balancer shafts.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, according to the conventional structure, the strainer mounting portion has to be extended downward from the bottom wall of the housing for the convenience of arranging the inlet of the strainer at the bottom of the oil pan, and the housing tends to be large. there were. In addition, what is disclosed in the above publication is a shape in which a part of the strainer mounting portion is bitten between two bearing holes in the bearing wall that supports the axial intermediate portion of the balancer shaft, and the bearing wall is divided. As a result, the rigidity of the bearing wall was reduced. In addition, because of these morphological circumstances, it is difficult to increase the support rigidity of the balancer shaft because the fastening bolt of the housing cannot be disposed between the two balancer shafts.
[0005]
Although it is conceivable to place the strainer mounting part in a position that does not penetrate into the bearing wall, this makes it necessary to provide a suction port at a position off the center of the engine crankshaft direction. However, there is a problem that the oil suction when the oil level is inclined during turning is deteriorated.
[0006]
The present invention has been devised to solve such problems of the prior art, and its main purpose is not to cause deterioration of oil suction when the oil level is inclined, and the housing. An object of the present invention is to provide an engine balance device housing which is improved so as not to increase the size and decrease the rigidity of a bearing wall .
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve such an object, the invention of claim 1 of the present application is directed to the axis of the crankshaft (1) so as to rotatably receive two balancer shafts (13L and 13R) arranged in parallel to each other. while being disposed below the cylinder block of the engine is inclined cylinder axis direction orthogonal (E) (2), below the balancer shaft provided in a lower of the two balancer shafts side (13L) In the housing of the engine balancing device (4), in which the mounting portion (28) of the oil strainer (25) is integrally formed , the housing comprises an upper housing (14U) and a lower housing (14L) that are vertically split, The joint surface has a bearing wall (23c) provided with a bearing hole (22c) for supporting the two balancer shafts. The center of the oil strainer mounting portion is located between the bolt provided between the two balancer shafts and the bolt provided outside the lower balancer shaft to fasten the upper housing and the lower housing to each other. And at least the outer peripheral portion of the mounting portion is connected to the bearing wall .
[0008]
In this way, it is possible to suppress a decrease in rigidity of the bearing wall that fastens the upper housing and the lower housing, and it is possible to facilitate the fastening operation because the strainer mounting portion is separated from the fastening bolt. In addition, since the suction port can be arranged immediately below the center of gravity of the engine, it is possible to make it less susceptible to the effect of oil level fluctuations accompanying a change in the posture of the vehicle .

【The invention's effect】
As described above in detail, according to the present invention, in the balancing device that is disposed below the lower block and the mounting portion of the oil strainer is offset to the lower side from the center of the lower housing , the strainer mounting portion is wrapped with the bearing wall as much as possible. By providing it at a position where it is not allowed (configuration of claim 1), it is not necessary to reduce the rigidity of the bearing wall, and the outer peripheral portion of the strainer mounting portion can be separated from the fastening bolt, so that the fastening operation can be facilitated. In addition, since the suction port can be arranged directly under the center of gravity of the engine, it is effective in making it less susceptible to the influence of liquid level fluctuations due to changes in the posture of the vehicle. Further, by providing the tubular passage in the housing and by providing a fastening boss on the side of the tubular passage (configuration of claim 2 ), the tubular passage can be brought close to the fastening boss, so that the balance device is fastened to the lower block. This is effective in increasing the rigidity of the part.
