可塑性プラスチックによって被覆された包装材料を密
封するための装置であって、高周波電力給源に接続され
得る可動の誘導子と、可動のカウンタブロック即ちジョ
ーとを有し、前記誘導子が、第1の平面において平行し
且つ互いに僅かに離間された関係に保たれる少なくとも
2個の導体と、電気的に絶縁するキャリヤ部分とを有す
るものに係る。

【従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題】熱可塑
プラスチックの複数の外層を有しこれら外層が耐密性
及び耐久性に富む密封継目またはシームの形成のための
加熱及び圧縮ののち融着によって互いに対し密封され得
る包装材料を使用することは、包装業界において久しく
知られている。包装物生産の一形式は半加工品いわゆる
ブランクを使用し、これらブランクは品詰めされそして
頂部または代替的に底部において密封されたのち最終的
に形づくられる。これらプレハブ型のブランクは可能な
かぎり安価な包装を達成するために正確な寸法に裁断さ
れ、その結果として、品詰作業のあと密封さるべき帯域
は極めて狭い区域から構成される。互いに密封さるべき
二つの縁が一緒に圧縮されるとき、それらは完全には互
いに整合されず、従って密封が行わるべき区域がなお一
層減少される事態が起こり得る。恐らく、密封される縁
もまたいかなる環境下においても踏み越え(overs
tep)られてはならない部分、例えば折り曲げ線な
ど、を有し得る。
【0003】通常、品詰めされたブランクの密封は熱風
を使用して行われる。これは多数の機械部品の使用を意
味し、そのことは、従って無菌包装物の生産が意図され
るときは、無菌状態に維持されなくてはならない部品が
より多いという単純な理由によって不利である。
【0004】無菌包装物は、普通、薄い金属フォイル、
好ましくはアルミニウムフォイル、を有する包装材料か
ら形成される。包装材料が金属フォイルを有するとき
は、包装業界においてはやはり知られている技術である
誘導溶接を使用することが可能である。
【0005】誘導溶接の技術は、交流電流を印加された
導体を包囲する磁場は隣接する導電材料中に誘導によっ
て電流を発生させ得、そしてそのことは、導電材料の抵
抗に応じて、多かれ少なかれ該導電材料の明白な加熱を
必然的に伴うという事実に基づく。従って、誘導溶接に
おいては、アルミニウムフォイルを有する積層物に隣接
する所望完成溶接部と同じ外形の誘導コイルが使用さ
れ、その後、積層物はそれとともに合体さるべき材料に
よって圧縮される。かくして、アルミニウムフォイルは
コイルの外形と一致するパターンを以て電流、周波数お
よび処理時間の好適な選択によって加熱され、前記材料
は所望温度、即ち熱可塑性プラスチック材料の隣接する
層が加熱されて融着するのに十分に高くされている温
度、または密封温度、即ち圧力下で合体された熱可塑性
プラスチック層が耐密性と耐久性とに富むシールまたは
シームを形成するように融着させられる温度、に達する
まで加熱され得る。
【0006】しかし、従来の誘導子は連続するウェブ上
における溶接のためにもっともしばしば設計され、該ウ
ェブには横シームが中間スペースを配して2×2(tw
o−by−two)様式で作られ、後に、該中間スペー
スにおいて前記ウェブが分離される。密封継目またはシ
ームのために利用可能の空間を制限して、予め切られた
ブランクに対して従来の誘導子を使用することを可能に
するには、より狭い磁極を有する誘導子を作ることが考
えられる。しかし、これは一般的に誘導子を冷却させる
ことにおいていくつかの問題を必然的に伴い、そしてさ
らにそのような誘導子は製造するのに一層困難でもあ
る。また、誘導子の2導体間のスペースはより狭くされ
るが、従って、信頼できる密封シームを形成するには、
より大きい電流が要求され、そしてこれはより大きい損
失が誘導子において生じることを意味する。
【0007】本発明の一目的は、大きい電流損失または
誘導子の冷却に関する諸問題を生じさせることなしに極
めて狭い表面において密封を達成する誘導子を設計する
ことである。

【課題を解決するための手段】前記およびその他の諸目
的は、緒言によって説明されたタイプの装置が、前記
体の少なくとも一が、前記第1の平面に対し直角を成
す第2の平面において、他の導体より相当より大きい広
さを有するという特徴を付与されることにおいて本発明
に従って達成された。
【0009】本発明の好適実施例は従属請求項に記載さ
れる諸特徴をさらに付与された。
【0010】本発明の一好適実施例は添付図面を明細に
参照して以下においてさらにより詳細に説明されるであ
ろう。

【実施例】図面を参照すると、図1は本発明装置の誘導
子部分を示し、この部分は電気絶縁物質、好ましくはフ
ェライトを含有する鋳造された化合物、から製造された
実質的に平行六面体のキャリヤ部分2から構成される。
【0012】キャリヤ部分2には、部分的にその表面上
に、電気的に相互接続される2個の導体3、4が配置さ
れる。一方の導体3は銅の管または棒から成る。他方の
導体4は銅板から成る。最初に言及された導体3はキャ
リヤ部分表面から直立するリッジ5を画成されることが
有利である。この直立するリッジ5は、密封作業間、包
装材料9に対して比較的強い圧力で押圧されかくしてよ
り良好な密封シーム即ち継目の実現に寄与する。
【0013】第1の平面6と呼ばれる、キャリヤ部分2
の一平面において、前記2個の導体3、4は表面上でそ
れらの間に空間を有する概ね同等の幅の2部分として観
察される。第1の平面6に対し直角を成す第2の平面7
において、導体4は相当より広い幅の銅表面として見ら
れる。その幅は導体3の幅の少なくとも2倍である。一
好適実施例においては、導体4の幅は導体3の幅のおお
よそ3倍である。加熱比は幅の二乗であり、従って、該
好適実施例においては、9倍高い加熱が幅狭の導体4に
よって達成され、これと同時に、誘導子1の寸法は許容
限度内に維持され得る。
【0014】キャリヤ部分2の一端内において、導体
3、4は一定の電気出力を供給し得る高周波電流給源
(図示されない)に対する接続部材8まで延ばされてお
り、該電流給源は最適溶接工程のために調整され得る。
キャリヤ部分2の他端内において、導体3、4はそれら
がコイルの一ターンを構成するように電気的に相互に接
続されている。
【0015】図1に図解されたタイプの密封部分即ち誘
導子1は、所望の密封運動を遂行しそして所望の密封圧
力を加えるようにされる機械部分内に取付けられるよう
に計画される。換言すると、この密封部分1(それはし
ばしばシーリングジョーと呼ばれる)は、殆どの場合や
はり運動可能であるいわゆるカウンタジョー10に向か
って相対運動を以て運動される。カウンタジョー10は
圧力平衡装置として作用し得るように硬質ゴムから全体
的にまたは部分的に製作される。品詰めされた包装容器
ブランクの開端は包装材料9が可能最大幅に亙って合体
されるように形成される。上に言及されたシーリングジ
ョー1とカウンタジョー10は、図3に示されるように
互いに向かって閉じられて、これらジョー1、10は包
装材料9の密封さるべき部分を包囲する。そのような場
合、包装材料9は、導体3、4がそこで誘導子1のキャ
リヤ部分2の表面に見られる両平面6、7に当接する。
【0016】誘導子即ちシーリングジョー1とカウンタ
ジョー10は、圧縮された層状の包装材料9に圧力を及
ぼし、それと同時に熱が誘導子1によって密封区域に発
生される。
【0017】高周波電流が誘導子1の両導体3、4によ
って構成される前記コイルを通過するとき、包装材料9
内の金属フォイル層中に電流が誘導によって発生され、
その結果として、前記金属フォイル層は急激に加熱され
そして隣接する熱可塑性プラスチック層に対して熱を提
供し、従って金属フォイル層は融解されそして隣接する
包装材料層の隣接内側熱可塑性プラスチック層に融着す
る。このような加熱は迅速且つ効率的に実現され、そし
て金属フォイル層は、原則的に、誘導コイルが一次巻線
を構成する変圧器内で短絡巻線を構成すると考えられ得
る。
【0018】もし誘導子1が、誘導によって電流が発生
されるアルミニウムフォイル層に隣接して配置されるな
らば、アルミニウムフォイル層中の電流流路は導体3に
おいて最も特徴的に誘導体3の中央に位置し従って熱の
発生は導体3の幅に実質的に対応する幅狭区域11に限
定されるであろう。第2の平面7における導体4の幅広
部分に面して、誘導電流は導体3の中央に位置される幅
狭区域11より少なくとも3倍広い区域12に分配され
る。電流は導体4においてより大きい表面区域に分散さ
れるから、区域12に熱可塑性プラスチックの融点まで
加熱されず、従って導体4の幅広部分に当接する包装材
料9は融着及び密封の時点において何ら影響されない状
態に止どまるであろう。もし導体4が前記好適実施例に
おけるがごとく配置されるならば、包装材料9の集中的
で効率的なシールが達成されるであろう。包装材料9か
らさらに遠く離れて導体4が位置されるいかなるその他
の配置においても、特に誘導子1の両端へ向かって密封
効果が劣化する恐れがある。
【0019】従って、本発明を採用するならば、縁が小
さくそしてシール本体のために利用可能である区域を踏
み越える(overstep)ことが許されない極めて
限定された幅の誘導加熱によって生じさせられる密封ま
たは融着を実現することが可能である。それと同時に、
本誘導子1は効率的な様式で使用されそして耐密性と持
久性に富む密封シーム即ち継目が得られる。

Claims (5)

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 金属フォイルの少なくとも1層を有する
    可塑性プラスチックで被覆された包装材料(9)を密
    封する装置であって、高周波電流給源に接続され得る可
    動の誘導子(1)と、可動のカウンタブロック(10)
    とを有し、前記誘導子(1)が、互いに僅かに離間され
    た関係を保って第1の平面(6)において平行して配置
    される少なくとも2個の導体(3,4)と、電気的に絶
    縁するキャリヤ部分(2)とを有するものにおいて、前
    記導体(3,4)の少なくとも一(4)が前記第1の
    平面(6)に対して直角を成す第2の平面(7)におい
    他の導体(3)より大きい広さを有することを特徴と
    する包装材料を密封する装置。
  2. 【請求項2】 請求項1に記載される装置において、前
    記第2の平面(7)における前記一の導体(4)の幅
    が、前記他の導体(3)の幅の少なくとも2倍であるこ
    とを特徴とする包装材料を密封する装置。
  3. 【請求項3】 請求項1に記載される装置において、前
    記導体(3,4)の双方が前記第1の平面(6)におい
    て同じ幅を有することを特徴とする包装材料を密封する
    装置。
  4. 【請求項4】 請求項1に記載される装置において、前
    記第1の平面(6)と前記カウンタブロック(10)と
    の間で密封が遂行されることを特徴とする包装材料を密
    封する装置。
  5. 【請求項5】 請求項1に記載される装置において、前
    記金属フォイルがアルミニウムフォイルであることを特
    徴とする包装材料を密封する装置。
