Description
【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 この発明は、包装機械、さらに詳しくは包装材料とし
てウェッブを用い、ウェッブを垂直状チューブに成形し
てこれに流動性食品などの内容物を充填し、内容物の充
填されたチューブを容器1つ分に相当する長さ毎に分割
して枕状中間容器とし、これを最終的に直方体状完成容
器とする包装機械における容器成形装置に関する。

従来の技術とその問題点 この種の装置としては、内容物の充填された垂直チュ
ーブ状容器素材を容器1つ分に相当する長さ毎にシール
して分割する成形用のジョーが、一対のシールバーと、
両シールバーの少なくとも一方に装備されているヒータ
とを有しており、ヒータがニクロム線よりなるものが知
られている。

ところで、上記ニクロム線は空気中に露出した状態で
シールバーに装備されているために、シールに際し、空
気と接した状態でニクロム線が短時間のうちに発熱・冷
却を繰返すことによりニクロム線が酸化し易いこと、ニ
クロム線が熱膨脹したり、ニクロム線にシール圧が加わ
ることにより、ニクロム線が変形し易いなどにより、ヒ
ータの寿命が短かかった。また、ヒータの発熱が不均一
であったり、温度制御が容易でないという一面もあっ
た。
シールバーに装備されているために、シールに際し、空
気と接した状態でニクロム線が短時間のうちに発熱・冷
却を繰返すことによりニクロム線が酸化し易いこと、ニ
クロム線が熱膨脹したり、ニクロム線にシール圧が加わ
ることにより、ニクロム線が変形し易いなどにより、ヒ
ータの寿命が短かかった。また、ヒータの発熱が不均一
であったり、温度制御が容易でないという一面もあっ
た。
この発明は、上記問題点を解決した容器成形装置を提
供することにある。

問題点を解決するための手段 この発明による容器成形装置は、内容物の充填された
垂直チューブ状容器素材を容器1つ分に相当する長さ毎
にシールして分割する成形用ジョーが、開閉自在な一対
のシールバーと、両シールバーの少なくとも一方に装備
されているヒータとを有している容器成形装置におい
て、ヒータが、シールバーの対向面に取付けられている
セラミック製基板と、基板の表面に所要のパターンでプ
リントされている電気抵抗体と、電気抵抗体を被覆する
ように基板の表面にコーティングされかつシールバーの
閉鎖時に容器素材に押圧されるセラミック製絶縁保護層
とよりなり、基板のセラミックおよび絶縁保護層のセラ
ミックが、同じ材料であることを特徴とするものであ
る。

電気抵抗体(32)のプリントパターンは、第3図に示
すように、全体として波形のものであるが、その波の密
度、すなわち波の単位長さ当りの数は、容器素材(11)
の継目の部分において2倍厚の容器素材(11)とシール
テープ(12)が重なり合っている部分では大、その隣の
1倍厚の容器素材(11)とシールテープ(12)が重なり
合っている部分では中、それ以外の部分では小となって
おり、その密度の大、中、小に応じて、ヒータ(26)の
各部の発熱量が大、中、小となっている。

電気抵抗体(32)の電気的特性の1つである抵抗比と
温度を示すグラフが第4図に示されている。同グラフに
おいて、この発明による電気抵抗体(32)のものが実線
で、比較して従来のニクロム線のものが鎖線で示されて
いる。同グラフからあきらかなように、同電気抵抗体
(32)は、ニクロム線に比べ非常に高い温度係数をもっ
ている。そのために、同抵抗体(32)の温度が上がるに
したがってその抵抗値が高くなって抵抗体(32)を流れ
る電流が減じていき、所定温度で飽和状態となる。この
状態でシール操作を行うと電気抵抗体(32)の温度が降
下して抵抗値が低くなる。そうすると、電流が増加して
発熱量が増加することになり、結果として温度降下が抑
制される。
温度を示すグラフが第4図に示されている。同グラフに
おいて、この発明による電気抵抗体(32)のものが実線
で、比較して従来のニクロム線のものが鎖線で示されて
いる。同グラフからあきらかなように、同電気抵抗体
(32)は、ニクロム線に比べ非常に高い温度係数をもっ
ている。そのために、同抵抗体(32)の温度が上がるに
したがってその抵抗値が高くなって抵抗体(32)を流れ
る電流が減じていき、所定温度で飽和状態となる。この
状態でシール操作を行うと電気抵抗体(32)の温度が降
下して抵抗値が低くなる。そうすると、電流が増加して
発熱量が増加することになり、結果として温度降下が抑
制される。
発明の効果 この発明によれば、基板の表面に電気抵抗体が所要の
パターンでプリントされているから、そのプリントのパ
ターンを必要に応じて変更することが容易である。

また、電気抵抗体を被覆するように基板の表面に絶縁
保護層がライニングされているから、電気抵抗体が空気
と接することがないために、電気抵抗体が酸化すること
がなく、しかも電気抵抗体の熱膨脹による変形、シール
圧による変形が抑制され、したがって、長寿命のヒータ
が得られる。

さらに、基板のセラミックおよび絶縁保護層のセラミ
ックが、同じ材料であるから、電気抵抗体の熱によって
基板および絶縁保護層が同じように変形する。もし仮
に、基板のセラミックおよび絶縁保護層のセラミック
が、異なる材料、とくに熱膨脹係数の異なる材料である
と、熱変形によって基板と絶縁保護層が剥離したり、絶
縁保護層に亀裂が生じたりする恐れがあるが、その心配
が無い。

に、基板のセラミックおよび絶縁保護層のセラミック
が、異なる材料、とくに熱膨脹係数の異なる材料である

縁保護層に亀裂が生じたりする恐れがあるが、その心配
が無い。

Claims (1)
- 【請求項1】内容物の充填された垂直チューブ状容器素
材(11)を容器1つ分に相当する長さ毎にシールして分
割する成形用ジョー(21)が、開閉自在な一対のシール
バー(24)(25)と、両シールバー(24)(25)の少な
くとも一方に装備されているヒータ(26)とを有してい
る容器成形装置において、 ヒータ(26)が、シールバー(24)の対向面に取付けら
れているセラミック製基板(31)と、基板(31)の表面
に所要のパターンでプリントされている電気抵抗体(3
2)と、電気抵抗体(32)を被覆するように基板(31)
の表面にコーティングされかつシールバー(24)の閉鎖
時に容器素材(11)に押圧されるセラミック製絶縁保護
層(33)とよりなり、基板(31)のセラミックおよび絶
縁保護層(33)のセラミックが、同じ材料であることを
特徴とする容器成形装置。
