【発明の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、電気溶融着により接合
させる例えば接着剤での接合が不可能なポリエチレン樹
脂で成形された樹脂製品の溶融着方法に関する。

【従来の技術】一般に電気溶融着は樹脂製の管と継手の
接合に用いられており、管端を差込む継手の受口の内周
面に予め螺旋状に巻かれた電気抵抗線に電流を流し、管
と継手の接合部の樹脂を溶融させて接合するものであっ
た。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】前記従来技術は、管端
が継手の受口に完全に差込まれていなくても電気溶融着
することができたから、接合後に容易に分離してしまう
恐れがあった。

【課題を解決するための手段】然るに、本発明は、第1
の樹脂製品の片側より第2の樹脂製品を挿入して係合接
続状態にセットすると共に、一方の樹脂製品の係合面に
埋設して相互の樹脂製品の係合面を溶融着させる電気抵
抗線と、樹脂の品種などからヒートパターンを設定する
発熱設定要素と、前記電気抵抗線の接続端子及び発熱設
定要素の接続端子に接続して該抵抗線への通電を制御す
るコントローラとを備え、前記電気抵抗線の発熱作用に
よって相互の樹脂製品の接合面を溶融着させる樹脂製品
の溶融着装置において、第1の樹脂製品の受口最奥部に
第2の樹脂製品の適正接続状態を検出するスイッチ音を
設けると共に、前記受口端面に前記接続端子を第1の樹
脂製品の軸芯方向に沿ってメス形に設けて、第1及び第
2の樹脂製品が適正に接合された状態のとき、これら製
品の品種に適正に対応した発熱量及び時間で溶融着させ
て、接合不良などを防止して高精度にして品質良好な樹
脂の溶融着品を得るもので、特にコントローラの接続コ
ードを各接続端子に接続する場合、接続コード先端のコ
ネクタを外側方向に突出させることなく、樹脂製品の軸
芯方向に沿って簡潔に接続させて、例えば家屋と家屋と
の間の狭小のスペースなどにおいても支障なく容易に樹
脂製品同志の確実な相互接続を可能とさせると共に、接
続終了後のコネクタ取外し後においても各端子を外側に
突出させることのない樹脂製品の簡潔外観構造を保っ
て、これら樹脂製品近傍部での作業の安全性を向上させ
ものである。

【実施例】以下本発明の実施例を図面に基づいて詳述す
る。図1は第1の樹脂製品の部分拡大断面図、図2は電
気溶融着作業説明図であり、図中(1)はコントローラ
で、四角箱形の本体ケース上面には持運び用の左右取手
(2)を設けると共に、本体ケース正面の操作パネル
(3)面には、溶融着作業開始及び停止の各釦(4)
(5)と、ヒートパターン設定用の複数の入力釦(6)
…と、溶融着作業状態及び設定入力するヒートパターン
などを可視表示するデジタル表示器(7)と、各種の報
知声を発生するスピーカ(8)とを設けている。また交
流100ボルトの商用電源に接続させるプラグ(9)を
先端に設ける電源コード(10)と、地面などに差込む
金属棒(11)を先端に設けるアースコード(12)
と、樹脂製品に接続させるコネクタ(13)を先端に設
ける接続コード(14)とを、前記コントローラ(1)
の本体ケースから延出している。

を溶融させて接合させる同材質(ポリエチレン樹脂な
ど)の熱可塑性の樹脂製品である継手(第1の樹脂製
品)及び管(第2の樹脂製品)である。
【0007】図1及び図3に示す如く、前記継手(1
5)の各受口(15a)の内周面には、二つ折りにした
電気抵抗線(18)を螺旋状に巻いてスリーブ状に形成
した発熱体(19)がインサート成形により予め埋込ま
れると共に、前記継手(15)の各受口(15a)の端
面には、電気抵抗線(18)の両端に接続した電源用メ
ス端子(20)(21)の接続端面が露呈されている。
【0008】前記電気抵抗線(18)は、ニッケル線な
どの電気抵抗素線を熱可塑性樹脂(継手と同材質が望ま
しい)で被覆したもので、電気抵抗線(18)の材質、
長さ、太さ、電気抵抗は継手(15)の材質、形状、サ
イズなど品種によって適宜選定されている。

品種によって静電容量の異なる品種判別用のコンデンサ
(22)を予め埋め込むと共に、電気抵抗線(18)の
一端側に発熱設定要素であるコンデンサ(22)の一端

品種信号出力用メス端子(23)の接続端面を、前記継
手(15)の各受口(15a)の端面で、前記電源用メ
ス端子(20)(21)間に路程させている。
【0010】一方、前記コネクタ(13)の接続端面か
らは、継手(15)側の各メス端子(20)(21)
(23)に同時に差込み接続させるオス端子(24)
(25)(26)が突出固定されると共に、電源用オス
端子(24)(25)間の品種信号入力用オス端子(2
6)は筒軸状に形成され、そのオス端子(26)内部に
摺動自在に筒軸状の温度センサケース(27)を設ける
もので、前記温度センサケース(27)の先端に温度セ
ンサーであるサーミスタ(28)を取付け、前記温度セ
ンサケース(27)をバネ(29)によりオス端子(2
6)の先端側に弾圧することにより、オス端子(26)
の先端外側にサーミスタ(28)の先端側を退入自在に
突出支持させ、各オス端子(24)(25)(26)及
びサーミスタ(28)をコントローラ(1)に接続させ
ている。
【0011】また、前記発熱体(19)を形成する電気
抵抗線(18)の中間部に通電を入切するスイッチ部
(30)を形成するもので、該スイッチ部(30)は継
手(15)の受口(15a)最奥部に位置する発熱体
(19)の一端つまり電気抵抗線(18)の折曲げ端部
を切断し、その切断端部の電気抵抗線(1)の樹脂被膜
を取除き電気抵抗素線を露出させ、一端が一方の電源用
メス端子(20)に接続される電気抵抗素線の他端と、
一端が他方の電源用メス端子(21)に接続される電気
抵抗素線の他端とを、継手(15)の受口(15a)の
最奥部外周側に非接触状態(スイッチ部が切状態)で露
出させ、継手(15)の受口(15a)の最奥部まで管
(16)の端部が適正に差込まれたときにのみ、その管
(16)の端部外周面で前記各電気抵抗素線の他端を接
触保持(スイッチ部が入状態)させ、継手(15)の受
口(15a)の最奥部まで管(16)の端部が適正に差
込まれていない場合、発熱体(19)からの発熱を行え
ないように構成している。
【0012】尚、前記スイッチ部(30)を確実に入切
できるように、板バネ状の接触片を用いたり、その接触
片の位置規制を行う溝を継手(15)の受口(15a)
内周面に設けることは容易に行えるものである。
【0013】而して、溶融着作業現場にコントローラ
(1)を持込み、電源コード(10)先端のプラグ
(9)を溶融着作業現場に備えられる電源に接続させる
と共に、アースコード(12)先端の金属棒(11)を
溶融着作業現場の地面に差込み、コントローラ(1)を
溶融着作業可能にセットする一方、継手(15)の受口
(15a)に管(16)の端部を差込みセットし、また
クランプ具(図示省略)により継手(15)と管(1
6)を接合状態に固定し、管(16)の端部を差込んだ
継手(15)の受口(15a)端面の各メス端子(2
0)(21)(23)に前記コントローラ(1)の接続
コード(14)先端のコネクタ(13)のオス端子(2
4)(25)(26)を差込み、溶融着作業開始釦
(4)をオン操作することにより、自動的に溶融着作業
が開始されるもので、前記コントローラ(1)は、溶融
着作業開始釦(4)がオン操作されると同時に、前記電
気抵抗線(18)に通電すると共に、継手(15)から
の品種判別信号と温度信号を読み込み、その信号に基づ
いて品種に対応した発熱体(19)の発熱量及び時間つ
まりヒートパターンを自動的に設定し、そのヒートパタ
ーンに基づいて前記電気抵抗線(18)への通電を制御
し、前記発熱体(19)からの発熱により継手(15)
の受口(15a)内周面と管(16)の端部外周面の樹
脂を溶融着させ、これらを接合させるものである。
【0014】そして、上記溶融着作業において、継手
(15)の受口(15a)の最奥部まで管(16)の端
部が適正に差込みセットされていない場合には、電気抵
抗線(18)のスイッチ部(30)は開いた状態にあ
り、電気抵抗線(18)に通電することはできないか
ら、溶融着は行えず、継手(15)の受口(15a)の
最奥部まで管(16)の端部が適正に差込みセットされ
て初めて、電気抵抗線(18)のスイッチ(30)が閉
保持され、電気抵抗線(18)に通電され、溶融着作業
が開始されるものである。

【発明の効果】以上実施例から明らかなように本発明
は、第1の樹脂製品(15)の片側より第2の樹脂製品
(16)を挿入して係合接続状態にセットすると共に、
一方の樹脂製品(15)の係合面に埋設して相互の樹脂
製品(15)(16)の係合面を溶融着させる電気抵抗
線(18)と、樹脂の品種などからヒートパターンを設
定する発熱設定要素(22)と、前記電気抵抗線(1
8)の接続端子(20)(21)及び発熱設定要素(2
2)の接続端子(23)に接続して該抵抗線(18)へ
の通電を制御するコントローラ(1)とを備え、前記電
気抵抗線(18)の発熱作用によって相互の樹脂製品
(15)(16)の接合面を溶融着させる樹脂製品の溶
融着装置において、第1の樹脂製品(15)の受口(1
5a)最奥部に第2の樹脂製品(16)の適正接続状態
を検出するスイッチ部(30)を設けると共に、前記受
口(15a)端面に前記接続端子(20)(21)(2
3)を第1の樹脂製品(15)の軸芯方向に沿ってメス
形に設けたものであるから、第1及び第2の樹脂製品
(15)(16)が適正に接合された状態のとき、これ
ら製品(15)(16)の品種に適正に対応した発熱量
及び時間で溶融着させることができて、接合不良などを
防止して高精度にして品質良好な樹脂の溶融着品を得る
ことができるもので、特にコントローラ(1)の接続コ
ード(14)を各接続端子(20)(21)(22)に
接続する場合、接続コード(14)先端のコネクタ(1
3)を外側方向に突出させることなく、樹脂製品(1
5)の軸芯方向に沿って簡潔に接続させて、例えば家屋
と家屋との間の狭少のスペースなどにおいても支障なく
容易に樹脂製品同志の確実な相互接続を可能とさせるこ
とができると共に、接続終了後のコネクタ(13)取外
し後においても各端子(20)(21)(22)を外側
に突出させることのない樹脂製品の簡潔外観構造を保っ
て、これら樹脂製品(15)(16)近傍部での作業の
安全性を向上させることができるなどの顕著な効果を奏
するものである。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 第1の樹脂製品(15)の片側より第2
    の樹脂製品(16)を挿入して係合接続状態にセットす
    ると共に、一方の樹脂製品(15)の係合面に埋設して
    相互の樹脂製品(15)(16)の係合面を溶融着させ
    る電気抵抗線(18)と、樹脂の品質などからヒートパ
    ターンを設定する発熱設定要素(22)と、前記電気抵
    抗線(18)の接続端子(20)(21)及び発熱設定
    要素(22)の接続端子(23)に接続して該抵抗線
    (18)への通電を制御するコントローラ(1)とを備
    え、前記電気抵抗線(18)の発熱作用によって相互の
    樹脂製品(15)(16)の接合面を溶融着させる樹脂
    製品の溶融着装置において、第1の樹脂製品(15)の
    受口(15a)最奥部に第2の樹脂製品(16)の適正
    接続状態を検出するスイッチ部(30)を設けると共
    に、前記受口(15a)端面に前記接続端子(20)
    (21)(23)を第1の樹脂製品(15)の軸芯方向
    に沿ってメス形に設けたことを特徴とする樹脂製品の溶
    融着装置。
