Means for Solving the Problems In a method for manufacturing an automobile window molding according to the present invention, a vehicle is attached along an outer peripheral edge of a windshield so as to cover a gap between an outer peripheral edge of the windshield of the vehicle and a vehicle body panel. A method of manufacturing window moldings, which when mounted along a side edge of a windshield forms a space for receiving rainwater between the outer surface of the windshield and the rainwater flowing across the molding at the side portion. The long side member extruded and molded in the substantially same cross-sectional shape so as to have a concave groove for preventing the cross section has a different cross-sectional shape from the side member, and has substantially the same cross section so as not to have the concave groove. With a long upper member that is resin extruded into a surface shape and attached along the upper edge of the windshield Between the ends of both members by arranging the upper end of the side member and the side end of the upper member in the injection molding die so that both members intersect in a substantially L shape and injecting synthetic resin. The cross-sectional shape of the side member gradually changes from the cross-sectional shape of the upper member to the cross-sectional shape of the upper member, and the outer surfaces of both members smoothly and continuously adhere to the ends of both members without any step, and A corner member is injection-molded into a substantially L shape so as to form a concave groove which is continuous from the concave groove and is tapered toward the upper member side, and the upper member and the side member are connected by this corner member so as to be substantially L-shaped. It is integrated.

Action In this method for manufacturing a window molding for an automobile, a side member forms a space capable of receiving rainwater between the windshield and the outer surface of the window glass when the windshield is attached to the concave shape that prevents the rainwater from flowing across. A side member having a groove and a cross-sectional shape different from that of the side member, and an upper member not having the concave groove, from the cross-sectional shape of the side member between the ends of each member from the cross-sectional shape of the upper member Gradually change, the outer surfaces of both members smoothly and continuously adhere to the ends of both members without a step at the end, and form a concave groove continuous from the concave groove of the side member and tapering toward the upper member side. As described above, since the corner members are injection-molded into a substantially L shape, the upper member and the side member are connected and integrated. The ends of both the side member and the upper member, which have different cross-sectional shapes, can be connected to each other by the corner members without any gaps, and the molding can be easily and integrally continuous and accurately formed into a desired shape. Further, since rainwater wiped off by the wiper can be received not only by the concave groove of the side member but also by the concave groove of the corner member, the rainwater can be absorbed by the side member and the corner member of the molding in a wider range than only the concave groove of the side member. It is possible to easily manufacture a window molding capable of preventing the side window from flowing across the outer surface. Furthermore, since the upper member and the side member are connected by a corner member formed by injection molding without a gap, it is presumed that the air flow through the gap is eliminated and the wind noise is also reduced.

1. A method for manufacturing a window molding for an automobile, which is mounted along an outer peripheral edge of a windshield so as to cover a gap between an outer peripheral edge of the windshield of the automobile and a vehicle body panel, the method comprising a side edge of the windshield. When installed in place, the resin has approximately the same cross-sectional shape to form a space that can receive rainwater with the outer surface of the glass and has concave grooves that prevent rainwater from flowing across the molding at the side portions. The long side member extruded and the side member have different cross-sectional shapes, and are resin-extruded into substantially the same cross-sectional shape so as not to have the concave groove, and along the upper edge of the windshield. The long upper member that can be attached to the upper side end of the side member and the side end of the upper member are both L-shaped. By arranging them in the injection molding die so that they are different from each other and injecting the synthetic resin, the cross sectional shape gradually changes from the cross sectional shape of the side member to the cross sectional shape of the upper member between the ends of both members. The outer surfaces of both members smoothly and continuously adhere to the ends of both members without a step at the end, and form a substantially L-shape so as to form a concave groove that is continuous from the concave groove of the side member and tapers toward the upper member side. A method for manufacturing a front window molding for an automobile, characterized in that a corner member is injection-molded to the above, and the upper member and the side member are connected and integrated by the corner member so as to form a substantially L shape.
