Abstract
Description
R1~R3は、それぞれ独立して、フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数1~6のアルキル基;フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2~6のアルケニル基;フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2~6のアルキニル基;または-R’OSi(R4)3であり、
前記R’は、直接結合;フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数1~6のアルキレン基;フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2~6のアルケニレン基;またはフッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2~6のアルキニレン基であり、
前記R4は、炭素数1~6のアルキル基であり、
L1は、-(CO)mO(CH2)n-であり、
mは、0または1であり、
nは、0~5の何れか1つの整数であり、
A-は、(CF3SO2)2N-、(FSO2)2N-、PF6 -、PO2F2 -、BF4 -、ClO4 -、(C2O4)BF2 -、HSO4 -、CF3SO3 -、(C2F5SO2)2N-、C(CF2SO2)3 -、AsF6 -、SbF6 -、AlCl4 -、NbF6 -、またはCF3CO2 -である。
本発明は、リチウム塩と、有機溶媒と、化学式1で表される化合物と、を含むリチウム二次電池用非水電解液を提供する。
本発明のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液は、下記化学式1で表される化合物を含む。
R1~R3は、それぞれ独立して、フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数1~6のアルキル基;フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2~6のアルケニル基;フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2~6のアルキニル基;または-R’OSi(R4)3であり、
前記R’は、直接結合;フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数1~6のアルキレン基;フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2~6のアルケニレン基;またはフッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2~6のアルキニレン基であり、
前記R4は、炭素数1~6のアルキル基であり、
L1は、-(CO)mO(CH2)n-であり、
mは、0または1であり、
nは、0~5の何れか1つの整数であり、
A-は、(CF3SO2)2N-、(FSO2)2N-、PF6 -、PO2F2 -、BF4 -、ClO4 -、(C2O4)BF2 -、HSO4 -、CF3SO3 -、(C2F5SO2)2N-、C(CF2SO2)3 -、AsF6 -、SbF6 -、AlCl4 -、NbF6 -、またはCF3CO2 -である。
R1~R3、n、およびA-は、前記化学式1での定義のとおりである。
本発明の非水電解液は、高電圧環境で電解液が分解されて電極の崩壊が引き起こされることを防止するか、低温高率放電特性、高温安定性、過充電防止、高温での電池膨張抑制の効果などをさらに向上させるために、必要に応じて、下記の添加剤を選択的にさらに含んでもよい。
本発明の非水電解液は、有機溶媒を含む。
本発明の非水電解液は、リチウム塩を含む。
次に、本発明に係るリチウム二次電池について説明する。
本発明に係る正極は正極活物質を含み、正極活物質、バインダー、導電材、および溶媒などを含む正極スラリーを正極集電体上にコーティングした後、乾燥および圧延することで製造することができる。
Li1+x(NiaCobMncMd)O2
Mは、W、Cu、Fe、V、Cr、Ti、Zr、Zn、Al、In、Ta、Y、La、Sr、Ga、Sc、Gd、Sm、Ca、Ce、Nb、Mg、B、およびMoからなる群から選択される何れか1つ以上であり、
1+x、a、b、c、およびdは、それぞれ独立の元素の原子分率であって、
-0.2≦x≦0.2、0.50≦a<1、0<b≦0.40、0<c≦0.40、0≦d≦0.10、a+b+c+d=1である。
本発明に係る負極は負極活物質を含み、負極活物質、バインダー、導電材、および溶媒などを含む負極スラリーを負極集電体上にコーティングした後、乾燥および圧延することで製造することができる。
本発明に係るリチウム二次電池は、前記正極と負極との間にセパレータを含む。
実施例1.
(非水電解液の製造)
エチレンカーボネート(EC)とジメチルカーボネート(DMC)を30:70の体積比で混合した後、LiPF6が1.0Mとなるように溶解させ、非水性有機溶液を製造した。アニオンA-が(CF3SO2)2N-(TFSI-)である前記化学式1Aで表される化合物1wt%、ビニレンカーボネート(VC)2wt%、1,3-プロパンスルトン(PS)1wt%、および残部の前記非水性有機溶液を混合し、非水電解液100wt%を製造した。
N-メチル-2-ピロリドン(NMP)に、正極活物質としてLi(Ni0.8Co0.1Mn0.1)O2、導電材(カーボンブラック)、およびバインダー(ポリビニリデンフルオライド)を97.5:1:1.5の重量比で添加し、正極スラリー(固形分の含量:60wt%)を製造した。前記正極スラリーを厚さ15μmの正極集電体であるアルミニウム(Al)薄膜に塗布および乾燥した後、ロールプレス(roll press)を行って正極を製造した。
非水電解液の製造時に、アニオンA-がTFSI-である化学式1Aで表される化合物に代えて、アニオンA-が(FSO2)2N-(FSI-)である化学式1Aで表される化合物を使用したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法によりリチウム二次電池を製造した。
非水電解液の製造時に、アニオンA-がTFSI-である化学式1Aで表される化合物の含量を5wt%に変更したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法によりリチウム二次電池を製造した。
非水電解液の製造時に、アニオンA-がTFSI-である化学式1Aで表される化合物に代えて、アニオンA-がTFSI-である化学式1Bで表される化合物を使用したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法によりリチウム二次電池を製造した。
非水電解液の製造時に、アニオンA-がTFSI-である化学式1Aで表される化合物に代えて、アニオンA-がTFSI-である化学式1Cで表される化合物を使用したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法によりリチウム二次電池を製造した。
非水電解液の製造時に、アニオンA-がTFSI-である化学式1Aで表される化合物に代えて、アニオンA-がTFSI-である化学式1Dで表される化合物を使用したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法によりリチウム二次電池を製造した。
非水電解液の製造時に、アニオンA-がTFSI-である化学式1Aで表される化合物を添加しなかったことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法によりリチウム二次電池を製造した。
非水電解液の製造時に、アニオンA-がTFSI-である化学式1Aで表される化合物に代えて、下記化学式B-1で表される化合物を使用したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法によりリチウム二次電池を製造した。
非水電解液の製造時に、アニオンA-がTFSI-である化学式1Aで表される化合物に代えて、下記化学式B-2で表される化合物を使用したことを除き、前記実施例1と同様の方法によりリチウム二次電池を製造した。
前記実施例および比較例で製造されたそれぞれのリチウム二次電池の、SOC(State Of Charge)3%状態のリチウム二次電池を準備した後、下記表1に記載のとおり、SOC状態によってC-レート(rate)を変化させながら充電を行い、各充電区間毎に、1秒間隔で電圧値を確認し、電圧プロファイルを測定した。
前記実施例および比較例で製造されたリチウム二次電池に対して、0.2Cレート(rate)で4.2Vまで定電流/定電圧条件での充電および0.05Cカットオフ(cut off)充電を行い、0.2C、2.5Vに放電した後の放電容量を初期放電容量と設定した。次いで、0.2Cレート(rate)で4.2Vまで定電流/定電圧条件での充電および0.05Cカットオフ(cut off)充電を行い、0℃で2週間保管した後、残存容量を測定した。初期放電容量(100%)に対する、低温(0℃)保管後の容量維持率(%)を計算し、下記表2に示した。
前記実施例および比較例で製造されたリチウム二次電池をSOC100%に充電した後、30日間高温(45℃)に露出させた後、電池内のCOおよびCO2などのガス発生量を測定した。比較例1で測定されたガス発生量を100%としたときの各電池の相対的なガス発生量を計算し、下記表2に示した。

- リチウム塩と、有機溶媒と、下記化学式1で表される化合物と、を含む、リチウム二次電池用非水電解液:
R1~R3は、それぞれ独立して、フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数1~6のアルキル基;フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2~6のアルケニル基;フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2~6のアルキニル基;または-R’OSi(R4)3であり、
前記R’は、直接結合;フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数1~6のアルキレン基;フッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2~6のアルケニレン基;またはフッ素で置換されているかまたは置換されていない炭素数2~6のアルキニレン基であり、
前記R4は、炭素数1~6のアルキル基であり、
L1は、-(CO)mO(CH2)n-であり、
mは、0または1であり、
nは、0~5の何れか1つの整数であり、
A-は、(CF3SO2)2N-、(FSO2)2N-、PF6 -、PO2F2 -、BF4 -、ClO4 -、(C2O4)BF2 -、HSO4 -、CF3SO3 -、(C2F5SO2)2N-、C(CF2SO2)3 -、AsF6 -、SbF6 -、AlCl4 -、NbF6 -、またはCF3CO2 -である。) - 前記化学式1で表される化合物が、下記化学式1-1または化学式1-2で表されるものである、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液:

- 前記A-は、(CF3SO2)2N-または(FSO2)2N-である、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記化学式1で表される化合物の含量が、前記非水電解液の全重量を基準として0.05重量%~5重量%である、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- エチレンカーボネート、ビニレンカーボネート、1,3-プロパンスルトン、ビニルエチレンカーボネート、フルオロエチレンカーボネート、リチウムジフルオロオキサレートボレート、エチレンサルフェート、プロパルギル1H-イミダゾール-1-カルボキシレート、メチルプロプ-2-イニルカーボネート、エチレングリコールビス(プロピオニトリル)エーテル、フルオロベンゼン、ジフルオロベンゼン、ヘキサフルオロベンゼン、1,1,2,2-テトラフルオロエチル-2,2,2-トリフルオロエチルエーテル、ビス(トリフルオロメチル)-1,3-ジオキソラン、および1,1,2,2-テトラフルオロエチル-2,2,3,3-テトラフルオロプロピルエーテルからなる群から選択される何れか1つ以上の添加剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記有機溶媒が、環状カーボネート系溶媒および直鎖状カーボネート系溶媒の混合物である、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- 正極活物質を含む正極と、
負極活物質を含む負極と、
前記正極と前記負極との間に介在されるセパレータと、
