Abstract
Description
本明細書で使用するとき、
「周囲条件」は、23℃かつ101.3kPaの圧力を意味する。
「平均」は、特に指定しない限り、数平均を意味する。
「コポリマー」は、2つ以上の異なるポリマーの繰り返し単位から作られるポリマーを指し、ランダムコポリマー、ブロックコポリマー、及び星型(例えば樹状)コポリマーを含む。
不織布コア層の繊維の「平均繊維径」は、例えば走査型電子顕微鏡を使用して、繊維構造の1枚以上の画像を作製し、当該1枚以上の画像で明確に見える繊維の横方向の寸法を測定して、繊維径の総数を求め、その繊維径の総数に基づいて、平均繊維径を計算することにより測定される。
「不織布コア層」とは、個々の繊維又はフィラメントが相互に重なり合っているが、編布におけるような識別可能な状態ではない構造を呈するシート又はマットを形成する、繊維の絡まり又は点結合を特徴とする複数の繊維を意味する。
「ポリマー」は、少なくとも10,000g/molの分子量を有する、比較的高い分子量の材料を意味する。
「サイズ」は、所与の物体又は表面の最長寸法を指す。
「実質的に」は、少なくとも、30%、40%、50%、60%、70%、80%、90%、95%、96%、97%、98%、99%、99.5%、99.9%、99.99%、又は99.999%、又は100%の量のように有意な程度を意味する。
「表面電気抵抗率」とは、実施例における表面電気抵抗率試験によって特徴付けられるように、その表面に沿った電流の流れにどの程度強く抵抗するかを定量化する材料の基本的特性を指す。
「厚さ」は、単層物品又は多層物品の両面の間の距離を意味する。
広くは、提供される断熱物品は、断熱材を有する。図1に、一実施形態による断熱材を示し、以降では参照数字100で示される。断熱材100は、一対の補強層102、102の間に配置されたコア層101を含む。図示の実施形態では、コア層101は、不織繊維ウェブである。図示のように、補強層102、102は直径方向に対向しており、各補強層102は、コア層101にわたって延びており、コア層101に直接接触している。
コア層は、耐火性であり、不織繊維ウェブに加工される複数の繊維を含有する。好ましい実施形態では、繊維は非溶融性繊維である。非溶融性繊維は、どんな温度でも液体にならない材料から作製される。場合によっては、これらのポリマーは、空気の存在下で加熱されると、最初に酸化するか又は別の方法で劣化するので、溶融しない。非溶融性繊維としては、炭素質繊維が挙げられる。炭素質繊維としては、炭素繊維、炭素繊維前駆体、及びそれらの組み合わせが挙げられる。
様々な実施形態では、提供される断熱材は、コア層の一方又は両方の主表面にラミネートされるか、コーティングされるか、又は他の方法で取り付けられる少なくとも1つの個別の補強層を含む。この層は、断熱材の強度及び/又は靭性を向上させるように機能し、耐火性を改善し、コア層内の任意の弛緩した繊維における封止などの複数の目的を果たすことができる。補強層は、典型的には、コア層よりも薄く、より高い密度を有し、より高い引張強度を有する。
コア層及び/又は補強層は、任意に、補強層及びコア層を互いに結合することを補助するか、又は補強層若しくはコア層のいずれかを他の隣接する層又は基材に結合する少なくとも1つのバインダーを含む。バインダーは、微粒子で若しくは乳化形態で、又は場合によっては連続フィルムとして提供されてもよい。場合によっては、繊維脱落の問題を緩和させるために、バインダーは、断熱物品の、又はその構成層のいずれかの周縁部を縁部封止することを可能にすることができる。バインダーは、補強層、コア層、複数の補強層、及び/又は存在する任意の他の層若しくは基材の一方又は両方の主表面上に配置することができ、次いで、バインダーを溶融させるか、又は別の方法で活性化して、対向する層の表面を互いに結合させることができる。
不織布ウェブの厚さ測定:嵩高の不織布の厚さについての試験方法に従って、ASTM D5736-95の方法を行った。プレート圧力を13.79パスカル(0.002psi)で較正した。
80重量%のOPAN及び20重量%のT276でブレンドされたウェブを、同一所有者のPCT特許公開第WO 2015/080913号(Zilligら)に記載されるように製造した。このウェブを折り畳み(坪量を150gsmに変更させ)、次いで、75ニードル/列の23列(これらの列は、パターンをランダム化するためにわずかにオフセットされている)のニードルボードアレイを有するDilo Needle Loom,Model DI-Loom OD-1 6(Eberbach,Germany)によって搬送した。ニードルは、Foster 20 3-22-1.5Bのニードルであった。アレイは、機械方向において深さが約17.8cm(7インチ)、幅が公称61cm(24インチ)であり、ニードルの間隔は、約7.6mm(0.30インチ)であった。ニードルボードを91ストローク/分で動作させてウェブを交絡させ、約5.1mm(0.20インチ)の厚さまで圧縮した。ウェブの坪量は、150gsm±10%であった。
実施例1に記載されるように、OPAN及びT276がブレンドされたウェブを製造した。OPAN及びT276がブレンドされたウェブをTHV340z溶液(5%固形分に希釈)に浸した。過剰な水を除去した。次いで、THVコーティングされたOPAN及びT276がブレンドされたウェブを、PETライナーの上部に置き、150℃のオーブンに30分間入れた。乾燥坪量は、200gsm±10%であった。オーブン処理後、試料の厚さを測定したところ、4mmであった。試料は、UL94-V0の火炎試験、機械的試験、可撓性試験、電気抵抗率試験、及び空気流動試験を受けた。結果を、表2及び表3に示す。

実施例1に記載されるように、OPAN及びT276がブレンドされたウェブを製造した。25マイクロメートルの厚さのKAPTON MTポリイミドフィルムの一方を、OPAN及びT276ブレンドされたウェブの上部に、他方を底部に配置した。試料を、ハンドカレンダーローラーによって150℃で6mm厚に均一に圧縮した。試料の坪量は、190gsm±10%であった。試料は、UL94-V0の火炎試験、機械的試験、可撓性試験、電気抵抗率試験、及び通気試験を受けた。結果を、表2及び表3に示す。
実施例1に記載されるように、OPAN及びT276がブレンドされたウェブを製造した。300マイクロメートル厚の55gsmのGULFENG不織布の一方を、OPAN及びT276ブレンドされたウェブの上部に、他方を底部に配置した。試料をハンドローラによって、厚さ6mmに均一に圧縮した。試料の坪量は、260gsm±10%であった。試料は、UL94-V0の火炎試験、機械的試験、可撓性試験、電気抵抗率試験、及び通気試験を受けた。結果を、表2及び表3に示す。

150gsmのOPAN及びT276がブレンドされたウェブを実施例1に記載されるように製造した。OPAN及びT276がブレンドされたウェブを、共通に所有された米国特許第6,598,701号(Woodら)に記載された技術に従って、組み立てられた2つの300gsmの耐炎性ナイロン微細穿孔フィルムの間に位置付けた(一方を上部に配置し、他方を底部に配置した)。ナイロンフィルム上の穿孔穴直径は、1mm離隔した穴を有する100ミクロンであった。ウェブの坪量は、750gsm±10%であった。試料は、UL94-V0の火炎試験、機械的試験、可撓性試験、電気抵抗率試験、及び通気試験を受けた。結果を、表2及び表3に示す。
Plaisir,FranceのZodiac Aerospace(Safranの子会社)から得られた12.7mmのCDM050-40パネルを、300マイクロメートルの直径の穴を3mm離隔してレーザー穿孔し、UL94-V0の火炎試験、可撓性試験、電気抵抗率試験、及び通気試験を受けた。結果を、表2及び表3に示す。
実施例1に記載されるように、OPAN及びT276がブレンドされたウェブを製造した。2つのフルオロプラスチックPVDFベースの膜フィルムを、米国特許第8,182,908号(Mrozinski)の実施例1に記載されるように組み立てた。PVDF多孔性膜の坪量は300gsmであった。PVDF膜をOPAN及びT276がブレンドされたウェブの上部及び低部に配置した。ウェブの坪量は、750gsm±10%であった。試料は、UL94-V0の火炎試験、機械的試験、可撓性試験、電気抵抗率試験、及び通気試験を受けた。結果を、表2及び表3に示す。
Ludwigshafen,GermanyのBASFから得た25ミリメートル厚のBASOTECT連続気泡メラミン樹脂フォーム試料は、UL94-V0の火炎試験、機械的試験、可撓性試験、電気抵抗率試験、及び通気試験を受けた。結果を、表2及び表3に示す。
一方の0.1ミリメートルの厚さの雲母ボードを10ミリメートル厚のNOMEX994プレスボードの上部に配置し、別の0.1mmの厚さの雲母ボードをその底部に配置した(それぞれWilmington,DE,UnitedStatesのDuPontから得られた)。試料は、UL94-V0の火炎試験、機械的試験、可撓性試験、電気抵抗率試験、及び通気試験を受け、結果を表2及び表3に示す。

Claims (15)
- 断熱物品であって、
複数の非溶融性繊維を含有するコア層と、
任意に、前記コア層上に配置された補強層と、を含み、
前記断熱物品が、ASTM D822による少なくとも0.75ニュートン/ミリメートルの引張強度、及びASTM D1938下での少なくとも2ニュートンの引裂強度を有し、
前記断熱物品が、85%の相対湿度及び30℃の温度において少なくとも15M-オームの表面電気抵抗率を有し、
前記断熱物品が、ASTM C522による、最大2000MKS Raylsの通気抵抗を有し、
前記断熱物品が、UL94-V0の燃焼性評価を示す、断熱物品。 - 前記断熱物品が、可撓性試験に従って測定されるとき、最大50グラムの平均可撓性を有する、請求項1に記載の断熱物品。
- 非溶融性繊維が、酸化ポリアクリロニトリル繊維を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の断熱物品。

- 前記補強層が、前記酸化ポリアクリロニトリル繊維と網目状に絡み合ったポリエチレンテレフタレートを有する繊維を更に含む、請求項6に記載の断熱物品。
- 前記補強層が、前記網目状に絡み合った繊維の少なくともいくつかの上に配置された熱可塑性フルオロポリマーを更に含む、請求項6~8のいずれか一項に記載の断熱物品。
- 前記熱可塑性フルオロポリマーが、テトラフルオロエチレン、ヘキサフルオロプロピレン、及びフッ化ビニリデンのコポリマーを含む、請求項9に記載の断熱物品。
- 前記補強層が、穿孔フィルムを含む、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の断熱物品。

- 電動ビークルバッテリーを断熱する方法であって、前記電動ビークルバッテリーを、請求項1~12のいずれか一項に記載の断熱物品で少なくとも部分的に包囲することを含む、方法。
