Description
Claims (11)
- 複数の気筒を備える内燃エンジンにおいてエンジンバルブを作動させるための方法であって、
前記複数の気筒の各々が、少なくとも1つのエンジンバルブを備え、かつ、前記気筒に関連付けられた少なくとも1つの主バルブ作動運動源を有し、前記少なくとも1つの主バルブ作動運動源は、少なくとも1つのバルブトレインを介して前記少なくとも1つのエンジンバルブに主バルブの作動を提供するように構成され、このような主バルブの作動は、前記気筒による正の力の生成をサポートするのに十分なものであり、
前記複数の気筒は、少なくとも1つの休止可能な気筒を含み、前記少なくとも1つの休止可能な気筒の各々は、前記休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つのバルブトレインに動作可能に接続された少なくとも1つの休止装置アセンブリを有しており、前記少なくとも1つの休止装置アセンブリの各々は、前記休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つのエンジンバルブの前記主バルブの作動が許容された稼働状態か、または前記休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つのエンジンバルブの前記主バルブの作動が禁止された休止状態かのいずれかで動作するように構成されており、
前記方法は、
前記主バルブの作動に従って、正の力の生成を提供するために、前記複数の気筒のうちの少なくとも1つの気筒を動作させることと、
前記少なくとも1つの休止可能な気筒のうちの休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つの休止装置アセンブリを前記休止状態にすることと、
前記休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つの休止装置アセンブリが前記休止状態にある間、かつ、前記少なくとも1つの気筒が、前記主バルブの作動に応じて正の力の生成を提供するために動作している間に、前記休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つのエンジンバルブを介して少なくとも1つの副バルブ事象を実行することと、を含む、方法。 - 前記内燃エンジンが、前記休止可能な気筒に関連して、前記休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つのバルブトレインを介して前記少なくとも1つのエンジンバルブにバルブ作動運動を提供するように構成されている少なくとも1つの補助バルブ作動運動源をさらに備え、
前記少なくとも1つの副バルブ事象が、前記少なくとも1つの補助バルブ作動運動源によって提供される、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つの休止装置アセンブリが、前記休止状態において、前記主バルブの作動によって提供されるピークリフトよりも少ないリフト量を喪失し、
前記少なくとも1つの副バルブ事象が、前記休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つの休止装置アセンブリを介した前記主バルブの作動によって提供される、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つのエンジンバルブが、少なくとも1つの排気バルブを含み、
前記少なくとも1つの副バルブ事象が、前記少なくとも1つの排気バルブによって実行される、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つのエンジンバルブが、少なくとも1つの吸気バルブを含み、
前記少なくとも1つの副バルブ事象が、前記少なくとも1つの吸気バルブによって実行される、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つのエンジンバルブが、少なくとも1つの排気バルブと、少なくとも1つの吸気バルブと、を含み、
第1の副バルブ事象が、前記少なくとも1つの排気バルブによって実行され、第2の副バルブ事象が、前記少なくとも1つの吸気バルブによって実行される、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの副バルブ事象が、ガスが前記気筒内に引き込まれることを可能にするように構成されている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの副バルブ事象が、ガスが前記気筒から排出されることを可能にするように構成されている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの副バルブ事象が、排気温度、冷却液温度、油温、または後処理システム温度を含む1つ以上のエンジン動作パラメータに基づいて決定される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの休止可能な気筒が、第1の休止可能な気筒と、第2の休止可能な気筒と、を含み、前記少なくとも1つの副バルブ事象が、前記第1の休止可能な気筒のみに適用可能な第1の副バルブ事象と、前記第1の副バルブ事象とは異なる、前記第2の休止可能な気筒のみに適用可能な第2の副バルブ事象と、を含み、
前記休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つの休止装置アセンブリを前記休止状態にする前記ステップが、前記第1の休止可能な気筒または前記第2の休止可能な気筒のいずれかのための前記少なくとも1つの休止装置アセンブリを前記休止状態にすることをさらに含み、
前記休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つのエンジンバルブを介して前記少なくとも1つの副バルブ事象を実行する前記ステップが、前記第1の休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つのエンジンバルブを介して前記第1の副バルブ事象を実行すること、または前記第2の休止可能な気筒の前記少なくとも1つのエンジンバルブを介して前記第2の副バルブ事象を実行することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの副バルブ事象を実行する前記ステップが、排気温度、冷却液温度、油温、または後処理システムの温度を含む1つ以上のエンジン動作パラメータに基づいて、前記第1の副バルブ事象、または前記第2の副バルブ事象のいずれかを選択することをさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
