Abstract
Description
メジアン粒径を、Malvern Instrument Ltd.から入手可能なMalvern Mastersizer 2000又は3000を使用して、ASTM B822-10に準拠したレーザー光散乱法によって測定した。メジアン粒径D50を報告した。
表3は、シリカ粒子の改質に使用した疎水化剤を列挙する。

ドローダウン
a.塵埃を含まないクリーンルームにて、平坦な基材を、真空ホルダに設置した。
b.ピペットを用い、約5~10mLの十分に混合されたコーティング組成物サンプルを、サンプルシート上及びサンプルシート近くに配置した。
c.ドローダウンロッドの端部を速やかに把持した。サンプルから離れてロッドが撓んだり屈曲したりしないように両手の親指を使用し、液体プールを介してドローダウンロッドを引き下ろし、サンプルシートの端から端まで流体を展着及び計測した。所与のドローダウンを行った後、ドローダウンロッドを使用後洗浄トレイに浸漬した。
d.ドローダウン後、溶媒を蒸発させるためにドローダウンサンプルを室温で放置し、次いで、コーティングされた基材を、120℃の温度のオーブン内に1時間にわたって置いた。

Claims (31)
- コーティング組成物であって、
疎水化シリカ粒子と、
被膜形成性結合剤と、
溶媒とを含む、コーティング組成物であって、
前記疎水化シリカ粒子が、約80Å以上の細孔直径を有する多孔質シリカ粒子であって、処理されてその表面上に疎水性コーティングが形成された、多孔質シリカ粒子を含む、コーティング組成物。 - 前記コーティング組成物中の、前記疎水化シリカ粒子の、前記被膜形成性結合剤に対する重量比が、少なくとも約1:2.5である、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記溶媒が、1種以上の有機溶媒又は水を含む、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記多孔質シリカ粒子のBET表面が、約800m2/g未満である、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記多孔質シリカ粒子の前記BET表面が、約750m2/g未満である、請求項5に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記多孔質シリカ粒子のメジアン粒径が、約0.5μm~約50μmの範囲である、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記多孔質シリカ粒子の前記メジアン粒径が、約1μm~約15μmの範囲である、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記多孔質シリカ粒子の前記表面上の前記疎水性コーティングが、前記多孔質シリカ粒子の表面シラノール基と化学反応する少なくとも1つの反応性官能基を含有する疎水性シラン又はシロキサンと、前記多孔質シリカ粒子を接触させることによって形成される、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記疎水性シラン又はシロキサンが、少なくとも200ダルトンの重量平均分子量を有する、請求項8に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記疎水性シラン又はシロキサンが、(ペルフルオロ)アルキルシラン、(ペルフルオロ)アルキルシロキサン、又はこれらの混合物である、請求項8に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記疎水性シラン又はシロキサンが、オクタデシルトリメトキシシラン、ペルフルオロオクチルトリメトキシシラン、ポリジメトキシシラン、又はシラノール末端ポリジメチルシロキサンである、請求項8に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記多孔質シリカ粒子が、溶液による改質プロセス、乾燥による改質プロセス、又はミル粉砕及び改質プロセスによって、前記疎水性シラン又はシロキサンと接触させられる、請求項8に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記ミル粉砕及び改質プロセスにおいて、前記多孔質シリカ粒子がミル粉砕され、前記疎水性シラン又はシロキサンと共に螺旋ジェットミル内で改質されて、前記疎水化シリカ粒子を得る、請求項12に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記疎水化粒子が、約0.5~約50μmの範囲のメジアン粒径を有する、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記疎水化シリカ粒子が、約1~約15μmの範囲のメジアン粒径を有する、請求項14に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記疎水性シロキサンが、ポリジメトキシシランである、請求項11に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記被膜形成性結合剤が、C2~C6ポリオレフィン、C8~C36アルキル基を含有するエチレン性不飽和モノマーのホモポリマー、及びC4~C36アルキル基と、C1~C36アルキルビニルエーテルと、C1~C36カルボン酸のビニルエステルと、それらと共重合可能なエチレン性不飽和コモノマーとを含有するエチレン性不飽和モノマーのコポリマー、天然ワックス、及び合成ワックスからなる群から選択される1つ以上を含む、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記被膜形成性結合剤が、フッ素含有ポリマーを含み、前記溶媒が1種以上の有機溶媒を含む、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記フッ素含有ポリマーが、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、ポリヘキサフルオロプロペン、テトラフルオロエチレンとヘキサフルオロプロペンとのコポリマー、アルコキシフルオロエチレンのコポリマー、エチレンとテトラフルオロエチレンとのコポリマー、又はこれらを組み合わせたものである、請求項18に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記被膜形成性結合剤を架橋するための架橋剤を更に含む、請求項18に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記コーティング組成物が、開始剤を更に含み、前記架橋剤が2つ以上の炭素-炭素二重結合を含む、請求項20に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記被膜形成性結合剤がゲル化剤を更に含む、請求項18に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記被膜形成性結合剤が、水性ワックスエマルション又は前記疎水性ポリマーの水性エマルションを含み、前記溶媒が水を含む、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記コーティング組成物が、界面活性剤の存在下で、前記疎水化シリカ粒子を水中に分散させて、前記疎水化シリカ粒子の懸濁液を形成し、次いで、前記疎水化シリカ粒子の懸濁液と、前記ワックスエマルション又は前記疎水性ポリマーのエマルションとを混合することによって調製される、請求項23に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記被膜形成性結合剤が、前記コーティング組成物の重量に基づいて、約1~約30重量%の量で存在する、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記コーティング組成物が、少なくとも1種の噴射剤を更に含むエアゾールの形態である、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の前記コーティング組成物から形成される疎水性被膜であって、室温で脱イオン水に対して約140°以上の静的接触角と、0~3のスケールで少なくとも1のローリング評点とを示す、疎水性被膜。
- 前記疎水性被膜が、スピンコーティング、ディップコーティング、スプレーコーティング、ローラーコーティング、ドローダウン、ブラシコーティング、及びこれらの混合したものからなる群から選択される方法によって製造される、請求項27に記載の疎水性被膜。
- コーティング組成物から本質的になる、少なくとも1つのぬれにくい表面を備える物品であって、前記コーティング組成物が、

被膜形成性結合剤と、
溶媒と、を含み、

- 前記物品が、ガラス、金属、プラスチック、木材、コンクリート、布地、セルロース系材料、及び紙からなる群から選択される材料を含む、請求項30に記載の物品。
