- 船舶を、甲板構造体及び海底に係合可能な複数の可動脚を有する洋上ジャッキアップに確保する方法であって、
前記洋上ジャッキアップは、前記甲板構造体を水外に位置させるために前記甲板構造体に対して前記複数の脚を移動するように構成されており、
前記甲板構造体が水から離れた位置にあり、前記複数の脚が海底に係合しているときに、前記船舶の少なくとも一部を前記洋上ジャッキアップの前記甲板構造体の下、または前記甲板構造体の切り込み内に移動するステップと、
前記洋上ジャッキアップに取り付けられている安定化機構を前記船舶に対して係合するステップと、
前記安定化機構を船舶に押し下げて前記船舶に作用する浮力を増大させるステップと、
前記安定化機構が前記船舶を押し下げた後に、前記洋上ジャッキアップに取り付けてある複数の吊りアームで前記船舶より貨物を吊り上げるステップと、
