積層体に関する。
以下に提供する実施例では、以下の試験方法を使用した。
E.I.du Pont de Nemours and Co.、Wilmington、Delaware(DuPont)から入手可能なNomex(登録商標)Type 818(T818)紙の第1の外側層及び第2の外側層と、Morgan Advanced Materials、Augusta、Georgiaから入手可能なSuperwool(登録商標)Plus 332-E紙の内側層とを有する積層体を作製した。Nomex(登録商標)T818紙は、約50重量パーセントのマイカ及び50重量パーセントのアラミド材料を含有するアラミド紙であり、アラミド材料は、約25パーセントがフロック、75パーセントがフィブリドである。Nomex(登録商標)T818紙は、3ミル(0.076mm)の厚さを有する、固められた(カレンダー処理された)紙である。Superwool(登録商標)Plus 332-E紙は、アルカリアースシリケートウール及びアクリル系バインダから作製され、約40ミル(1.0mm)の測定厚さを有していた。
3ミルのカレンダー処理Nomex(登録商標)T818紙を、7ミル(0.178mm)のNomex(登録商標)Type 819(T819)紙と入れ替えたこと以外は、実施例1を繰り返した。Nomex(登録商標)Type819(T819)紙もまた、E.I.du Pont de Nemours and Co.、Wilmington、Delaware(DuPont)から入手可能である。Nomex(登録商標)T819紙はNomex(登録商標)T818紙と同じ組成を有するが、固められておらず(カレンダー処理されておらず)、したがって、より低密度である。得られた積層体は、脱落可能性が限定された封止構造体をもたらした。
Superwool(登録商標)Plus 332-E紙をK-Shield(登録商標)BF紙と入れ替えたこと以外は以外は、実施例1を繰り返した。K-Shield(登録商標)BF紙もまた、Morgan Advanced Materials、Augusta、Georgia)から入手可能である。K-Shield(登録商標)BF紙は、バインダを伴わないアルミノシリケートウールから作製され、約40ミル(1.0mm)の測定厚さを有していた。得られた積層体は、脱落可能性が限定された封止構造体をもたらした。

3ミルのカレンダー処理Nomex(登録商標)T818紙を3ミルのNomex(登録商標)Type416(T16)紙と入れ替えたこと以外は、実施例1を繰り返した。Nomex(登録商標)Type416(T16)紙もまた、E.I.du Pont de Nemours and Co.、Wilmington、Delaware(DuPont)から入手可能である。Nomex(登録商標)T416紙は、アラミド材料のみを含有する。即ち、マイカを含有しない。
Claims (11)
- セル間バッテリー絶縁体として有用な積層体であって、前記積層体は、絶縁領域及び周縁部封止領域を有し、
前記絶縁領域は、順に、
1)アラミド材料とマイカとを含む第1の外側紙層と、
2)無機短繊維のフェルト又は紙を含む内側層と、
3)アラミド材料とマイカとを含む第2の外側紙層と、
を含み、
前記周縁部封止領域は前記内側層がなく、前記第1の外側紙層と前記第2の外側紙層とを互いに接着することによって形成され、
前記周縁部封止領域は、前記絶縁領域の前記周縁部の周囲に延びる、
積層体。 - 前記第1の外側紙層又は前記第2の外側紙層は、50~70重量パーセントの均一に分散したマイカと30~50重量パーセントのアラミド材料とを含み、前記アラミド材料は、フロック、フィブリド、又はこれらの混合物の形態である、請求項1に記載の積層体。
- 前記第1の外側紙層又は前記第2の外側紙層は、50~60重量パーセントの均一に分散したマイカと40~50重量パーセントのアラミド材料とを含み、前記アラミド材料は、フロック、フィブリド、又はこれらの混合物の形態である、請求項2に記載の積層体。
- 前記第1の外側紙層及び前記第2の外側紙層は、50~70重量パーセントの均一に分散したマイカと30~50重量パーセントのアラミド材料とを含み、前記アラミド材料は、フロック、フィブリド、又はこれらの混合物の形態である、請求項2に記載の積層体。
- 前記第1の外側紙層及び前記第2の外側紙層は、50~60重量パーセントの均一に分散したマイカと40~50重量パーセントのアラミド材料とを含み、前記アラミド材料は、フロック、フィブリド、又はこれらの混合物の形態である、請求項4に記載の積層体。
- 前記内側層の無機短繊維の前記フェルト又は紙は、アルカリアースシリケートウールである、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の積層体。
- 前記内側層は、バインダを更に含む、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の積層体。
- 前記絶縁領域全体の周囲に延びる前記周縁部封止領域は、2~15mmの幅を有する、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の積層体。
- 前記絶縁領域全体の周囲に延びる前記周縁部封止領域は、2~10mmの幅を有する、請求項8に記載の積層体。
- 前記絶縁領域は3層からなり、前記内側層は、第1表面と第2表面とを有し、前記第1表面は、接着剤によって前記第1の外側層に接着されており、前記第2表面は、接着剤によって前記第2の外側層に接着されている、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の積層体。
- 前記第1の外側層と前記第2の外側層とからなる前記周縁部封止領域は、接着剤によって互いに接着されている、請求項1~10のいずれか一項に記載の積層体。
