Description
引張特性。層および積層構造体の引張特性は、ISO 1924−2「Paper and board − Determination of tensile properties;Part 2:Constant rate of elongation method」に従って測定できる。20±0.1mm×290mmの大きさに切断した試料を用い、機械的測定にZwickの装置を使用した。試料の把持距離(clamping distance)は、180±1mmであり、使用した把持速度は20mm/分であった。すべての試料の引張り強さおよび伸び率を、室温で試験した。
接着剤を用いた積層構造体を、以下のようにして作る。約48重量%の雲母、約37重量%の結合剤、および約15重量%のアラミドフロックを有する雲母−アラミド層「A」を、白雲母とMPD−IフロックとMPD−Iフィブリドの所望の割合の混合物を含む水性分散液を形成させることにより作る。MPD−Iフィブリドは、米国特許第3,756,908号明細書の一般的な記載にしたがって作る。MPD−Iフロックは、0.22texの線密度と0.64cmの長さを有するものであり、NOMEX(登録商標)という商品名でE.I.du Pont de Nemours and Companyが販売している繊維から作る。
実施例1と同じ大きな典型的LOIを有する積層構造体を、付加的な接着剤を利用せずに以下の方法で作る。実施例1の雲母−アラミド層およびアラミド層用の水性分散液を、長網抄紙機の第1および第2ヘッドボックスを通して送り込み、雲母−アラミド層が最上部にきて、アラミド層がワイヤーに隣接して最下部にくるように、多層湿式ウェブを形成させる。湿式多層ウェブを乾燥させて、合体していない積層構造体を形成させる。次いで、合体していない積層構造体をカレンダーの高温加圧ニップに通して、積層構造体を合体させて0.12mmの厚さにする。
実施例1と同じ高い典型的LOIを有する積層構造体を、付加的な接着剤を利用せずに以下の方法で作る。実施例1における合体していない雲母−アラミド層および合体していないアラミド層を作り、一方を他方の上部に置く。その後、一緒にした層のスタックをカレンダーの高温加圧ニップに通して層を合体させて、0.12mmの厚さの積層構造体にする。
5層積層構造体(接着剤を利用)と3層積層品(接着剤なし)(どちらも、実施例1と同じ高いLOIを有する)を、実施例1および実施例3の一般手順を用いて作るが、ここでは、さらに0.08mmの厚さの薄い雲母−アラミド層「A」をアラミド層の隣に配置する。言い換えれば、アラミド層が、2つの雲母−アラミド層の間に挟まれたもの(接着剤を用いた場合と接着剤を用いない場合)である。得られた5層積層品は厚さが0.22mm(接着剤はおおよそ0.02mmの厚さまで加える)であり、得られた3層積層品は厚さが0.20mmである。
次に、本発明の態様を示す。
1. 鉄道車両または鉄道において、車両搭載機器の電気絶縁に用いるのに適した、a)雲母−アラミド層とb)アラミド層とを含む積層構造体であって、
a)前記雲母−アラミド層は、前記雲母−アラミド層中の雲母と第1結合剤とアラミドフロックの量を基準にして、35〜55重量パーセントの雲母と、20〜60重量パーセントの第1結合剤と、5〜25重量パーセントの第1アラミドフロックとを含み、前記雲母は前記雲母−アラミド層中に均一に分散しており、前記雲母−アラミド層は第1面と第2面とを有し;
b)前記アラミド層は、前記アラミド層中の第2結合剤および第2フロックの量を基準にして、35〜75重量パーセントの第2結合剤と25〜65重量パーセントの第2アラミドフロックとを含み、前記アラミド層は基本的に雲母を含まず、前記アラミド層は第1面と第2面とを有し;
前記雲母−アラミド層自体は37パーセント以上の限界酸素指数(LOI)を有し、かつ前記アラミド層自体は30パーセント以下のLOIを有し、前記アラミド層は、引張り強さおよび伸び率が前記雲母−アラミド層より大きく;
前記雲母−アラミド層の前記第1面または第2面が均質かつ連続的に前記アラミド層の前記第1面に結合しており;前記積層構造体はさらに、
i)少なくとも0.10mmの厚さと、
ii)32パーセントより大きいLOIを有し、
iii)LOIを測定するために酸素環境で炎にさらすと、前記積層構造体が一体物のように燃える、
積層構造体。
2. 35パーセントより大きいLOIを有する、上記1に記載の積層構造体。
3. 前記雲母−アラミド層が接着剤によって前記アラミド層に結合している、上記1に記載の積層構造体。
4. 前記雲母−アラミド層が、前記アラミド層に、それらの層中の第1および/または第2結合剤によって結合している、上記1に記載の積層構造体。
5. 前記第1または第2結合剤がアラミドフィブリドである、上記1に記載の積層構造体。
6. 前記第1および第2結合剤が同じ結合剤である、上記1に記載の積層構造体。
7. 前記第1および第2アラミドフロックが同じアラミドフロックである、上記1に記載の積層構造体。
8. 前記アラミド層の前記第2面に均質かつ連続的に接着剤によって結合された別の雲母−アラミド層a)をさらに含む、上記1に記載の積層構造体。
9. 前記第1および/または第2結合剤がアラミドフィブリドである、上記8に記載の積層構造体。
10. 前記第1および第2結合剤が同じ結合剤である、上記8に記載の積層構造体。
11. 前記第1および第2アラミドフロックが同じアラミドフロックである、上記8に記載の積層構造体。
12. 別の雲母−アラミド層a)であって、前記アラミド層の前記第2面に、それらの層中の第1および/または第2結合剤によって均質かつ連続的に結合された別の雲母−アラミド層a)をさらに含む、上記1に記載の積層構造体。
13. 前記第1または第2結合剤がアラミドフィブリドである、上記12に記載の積層構造体。
14. 前記第1および第2結合剤が同じ結合剤である、上記12に記載の積層構造体。
15. 前記第1および第2アラミドフロックが同じアラミドフロックである、上記12に記載の積層構造体。
Claims (2)
- 鉄道車両または鉄道において、車両搭載機器の電気絶縁に用いるのに適した、a)雲母−アラミド層とb)アラミド層とを含む積層構造体であって、
a)前記雲母−アラミド層は、前記雲母−アラミド層中の雲母と第1結合剤とアラミドフロックの量を基準にして、35〜55重量パーセントの雲母と、20〜60重量パーセントの第1結合剤と、5〜25重量パーセントの第1アラミドフロックとを含み、前記雲母は前記雲母−アラミド層中に均一に分散しており、前記雲母−アラミド層は第1面と第2面とを有し;
b)前記アラミド層は、前記アラミド層中の第2結合剤および第2フロックの量を基準にして、35〜75重量パーセントの第2結合剤と25〜65重量パーセントの第2アラミドフロックとを含み、前記アラミド層は基本的に雲母を含まず、前記アラミド層は第1面と第2面とを有し;
前記雲母−アラミド層自体は37パーセント以上の限界酸素指数(LOI)を有し、かつ前記アラミド層自体は30パーセント以下のLOIを有し、前記アラミド層は、引張り強さおよび伸び率が前記雲母−アラミド層より大きく;
前記雲母−アラミド層の前記第1面または第2面が均質かつ連続的に前記アラミド層の前記第1面に結合しており;前記積層構造体はさらに、
i)少なくとも0.10mmの厚さと、
ii)32パーセントより大きいLOIを有し、
iii)LOIを測定するために酸素環境で炎にさらすと、前記積層構造体が一体物のように燃える、
積層構造体。 - 前記アラミド層の前記第2面に均質かつ連続的に接着剤によって結合された別の雲母−アラミド層a)をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の積層構造体。
