Abstract
Description
本出願は、2019年2月1日付韓国特許出願第10-2019-0013848号に基づいた優先権の利益を主張し、当該韓国特許出願の文献に開示されている全ての内容は本明細書の一部として含まれる。
図1は、本発明に係る二次電池の構造を示した側断面図である。
円筒状二次電池を製造した。電池カンの直径は21.05mmで、電池カンの厚さは0.3mmであり、電池カンの上端部に形成される折曲部の厚さも0.3mmであった。また、電池カンの上部で折曲部と結合されるトップキャップの厚さは0.4mmであった。さらに、折曲部の折曲長さは0.5mmであった。
折曲部の折曲長さが1.5mmの場合以外は、実施例1と同様に円筒状二次電池を製造した。
実施例1及び実施例2によって製造された円筒状二次電池内部の圧力を増加させながら、トップキャップの全領域が一体の状態で電池カンから離隔される時の二次電池内部の圧力を測定した。
Claims (13)
- 電極組立体と、
前記電極組立体を収容して上部が開放されている電池カンと、
前記電池カンの上部に結合されるトップキャップと、
を含んでなり、
前記電池カンの上端部には、前記トップキャップに向かって内側に折り曲げられて前記トップキャップを固定する折曲部が形成され、
前記電池カンの内部圧力が一定の値を超過する場合、前記トップキャップまたは前記折曲部の変形によって、上から眺めた時の前記トップキャップと前記折曲部が互いに重畳される領域(R)の面積が減少し、前記折曲部と前記トップキャップの間の結合力が減少することにより、前記トップキャップの全領域が前記電池カンから離隔される、二次電池。 - 前記電池カンの内部圧力が前記一定の値を超過する場合、前記トップキャップは、複数の構成に断片化しない一体の状態で前記電池カンから離隔される、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池カンの内部圧力が前記一定の値を超過する場合、前記折曲部が折り曲げられた程度の緩和により前記トップキャップが前記電池カンから離隔される、請求項2に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池カンの内部圧力が前記一定の値を超過する場合、前記トップキャップの中心部が上方に曲がることにより前記トップキャップが前記電池カンから離隔される、請求項2に記載の二次電池。
- 前記一定の値は、30kgf以上60kgf以下の範囲に属する値である、請求項3または請求項4に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池カンは幅(W)を有し、
前記折曲部は折曲長さ(A)を有し、
前記電池カンの幅(W)に対する前記折曲部の折曲長さ(A)の比であるA/Wは2.27×10-2から7.5×10-2である、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池。 - 前記折曲部は厚さ(t1)を有し、
前記折曲部は折曲長さ(A)を有し、
前記折曲部の厚さ(t1)に対する前記折曲部の折曲長さ(A)の比であるA/t1は1.43から6である、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池。 - 前記トップキャップから上方に突き出された端子領域は厚さ(t2)を有し、
前記折曲部は折曲長さ(A)を有し、
前記トップキャップの前記端子領域の厚さ(t2)に対する前記折曲部の折曲長さ(A)の比であるA/t2は1から5である、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池。 - 前記折曲部の折曲長さ(A)は、0.5mmから1.5mmである、請求項6から8のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池カンの幅(W)は、20mmから22mmである、請求項6に記載の二次電池。
- 前記折曲部の厚さ(t1)は、0.25mmから0.35mmである、請求項7に記載の二次電池。
- 前記トップキャップの端子領域の厚さ(t2)は、0.3mmから0.5mmである、請求項8に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池カンは、ニッケル(Ni)がコーティングされた鉄(Fe)の材質を含む、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の二次電池。
