Abstract
Description
Claims (20)
- 炭素繊維製造のための前駆体繊維を安定化するための方法であって、
前記前駆体繊維を連続的に処理チャンバーに導入し、前記処理チャンバーを通過させ、前記処理チャンバーから除去し、
前記少なくとも1つの処理チャンバー内に、周囲空気とは組成が異なる所定の処理ガス雰囲気を設定し、前記処理ガス雰囲気は、少なくとも1つの反応性成分および/または触媒を所定の分圧で含み、
前記前駆体繊維が前記処理チャンバー内にあるときに、前記前駆体繊維を少なくとも第1の温度まで加熱し、前記第1の温度を所定の時間維持する工程を含む、方法。 - 前記処理チャンバー内の圧力は、周囲圧力と同じ、または周囲圧力から周囲圧力の少なくとも90%の間、さらに好ましくは周囲圧力の少なくとも95%の間の圧力に維持されている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体繊維が前記処理チャンバー内にあるときに、前記前駆体繊維を少なくとも第2の温度まで加熱し、前記第2の温度は前記第1の温度よりも高く、前記温度を所定の時間維持する工程をさらに含む、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体繊維は、少なくとも1つのさらなる中間温度を経由して前記第1の温度から前記第2の温度まで加熱され、時間的に連続する段階間の温度差は、少なくとも5℃、特に少なくとも10℃であり、前記前駆体繊維は、所定の時間前記少なくとも1つの中間温度に維持される、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の温度は、前記第1の温度よりも少なくとも30℃、好ましくは40℃高い、請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体繊維は、前記第1の温度、前記第2の温度、および少なくとも1つの任意の中間温度で、それぞれ少なくとも10分間、好ましくは少なくとも20分間維持される、請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体繊維は、PAN繊維を含んでおり、前記第1の温度は220~320℃の範囲内であり、前記第2の温度は280~400℃の範囲内である、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の温度が260~320℃の範囲内であり、前記第2の温度が300~380℃の範囲内である、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体繊維は、PAN繊維を含んでおり、前記処理ガス雰囲気は、5~60mbar、好ましくは10~40mbarの分圧の酸素を反応性成分として有する、請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体繊維は、セルロースおよび/またはリグニンを原料としており、前記第1の温度は200~240℃の範囲内であり、前記第2の温度は240~300℃の範囲内である、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体繊維は、セルロースを含んでおり、前記処理ガス雰囲気は、セルロースの脱水を促進する酸性雰囲気である、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体繊維は、セルロースおよび/またはリグニンを原料としており、前記処理ガス雰囲気は、硫黄含有化合物を含む、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体繊維は、PANおよび/またはリグニンおよび/またはセルロースを原料としており、前記処理ガス雰囲気は、ホウ素含有化合物を含む、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記処理ガス中の前記酸性成分、硫黄含有成分、またはホウ素含有成分は、脱水を制御するために前記分圧を介して制御される、請求項11乃至13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体繊維は、リグニンおよび潜在性硬化剤を含み、前記処理ガス雰囲気は、前記リグニン中の前記潜在性硬化剤を活性化する酸性雰囲気である、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体繊維は、ホルムアルデヒドの硬化雰囲気で処理されたリグニンである、請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記処理ガス中の前記酸性成分、硫黄含有成分、またはホウ素含有成分は、前記活性化を制御するために前記分圧によって制御される、請求項11乃至15のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体繊維は、前記工程中、定められた張力下に保たれる、請求項1乃至17のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ガス雰囲気は、前記安定化工程中、連続的または断続的に交換される、請求項1乃至18のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記前駆体繊維は、複数の実質的に平行に延びる処理チャンバーを通過し、隣接する各処理チャンバーは、前記繊維が前記処理ガス雰囲気に留まるように、一端が偏向ユニットを介して接続される、請求項1乃至19のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
