本開示の主題は、セルロース繊維を組み込む不織布材料を提供する。不織布材料は、合成繊維を更に含むことができる。本明細書で具体化されるように、不織布材料は、少なくとも1つの層、少なくとも2つの層、又は少なくとも3つの層を含むことができる。特定の非限定的な実施形態では、不織布材料は、3つを超える層を含む。特定の非限定的な実施形態では、不織布材料は、少なくとも1つの層を含む。

本開示の主題の不織布材料は、当該技術分野で既知の任意の用途に使用することができる。不織布材料は、単独で、又は他の消費者製品の成分として使用することができる。例えば、不織布材料は、洗浄物品、パーソナルケアワイプ、ベビー用おむつ、成人用失禁用品、生理用ナプキンなどを含む様々な吸収性物品において単独で又は成分としてのいずれかで使用することができる。吸収性洗浄製品としては、ワイプ、シート、タオルなどが挙げられる。不織布材料の吸収性は、そのような洗浄用途における汚れ及び汚れ除去に役立てることができる。特定の態様では、開示される不織布材料の層状構造は、ワイプ、シート、タオルなどとして使用するのに好適な両面基材を提供することができる。
本実施例は、液体を保持し、かつ液体の計量放出を提供することができる多層不織布基材を提供する。異なる組成物を調製し、以下のように試験した。この実施例では、複数の層を有する不織布基材を形成し、液体保持について試験した。対照試料及び試料1〜3を、10インチ×4インチの試料に切断した。(10インチは機械方向である)。試料を、50gsmスパンレース(ウィング)の中心に配置した(10インチ×8.5インチ寸法)。45gsmスパンレース(カバーストック)(10インチ×5インチ寸法)を基材上に置いた。試料の層をエンボス加工プレート及びCarverプレスを使用して一緒にエンボス加工した。次いで、試料を計量した。
試料4及び5を調製し、液体保持について試験した。試料4及び5は、3層で構成され、互いに積み重ねられた一体型吸収性複合材料であり、液体を貯蔵し、液体の測定放出を提供し、市販の使い捨て湿潤モップクロスで使用されるスパンレースを置き換えるように設計されている。バインダーを構造の底部に適用した。その基材を切断して約10インチ×9インチの試料とした(10インチは機械方向である)。10インチ×9インチ試料のいくつかは、エンボス加工をせず、厚さおよそ3.5mmであった。10インチ×9インチのいくつかは、およそ2.25mmの厚さのパターンでエンボス加工した。試料4及び5の組成をそれぞれ表7及び8に示す。
予め湿潤させた基材からの液体又はローションの放出を定量的に測定するための研究を行って、洗浄中のワイプからの放出量を評価した。
選択した試料を更に試験し、タイル湿潤試験(Tile Wetting Test)で市販製品と比較した。タイル湿潤試験は、液体の放出を停止する前に、どのくらいの面積を予め湿潤させた材料で清掃することできるかを比較するように設計されている。本実施例では、12インチ×12インチの床タイルの数を試験し、予め湿潤させた材料が、更なる液体が放出されないエンドポイントに達するまで湿潤していることができる。
洗浄及びステイン除去の有効性を評価するために、選択試料を更に試験した。3つの組成物:すなわち、対照試料、試料2、及び試料5を試験した。これらの試料の組成は、それぞれ、表3、5、及び8に認められる。Gain(登録商標)を有する市販のSwiffer(登録商標)Sweeper Wet−Wet Mopping Cloths及びWalmart(登録商標)Great Value Wet Mopping Clothsも試験した。1ポンドの圧力及び1分間あたり40サイクルで作動するガードナー直線洗浄試験機(WA−2175、Model D16VF)を使用して、4インチ×3インチ試料を切断し、スクラブブロックに装着した。装置を始動させ、5つの異なるステインのそれぞれを、ビニルタイル(Armstrong Flooring 56830031 Feature Tile R627A)から除去するためのサイクル数を記録した。試験装置の概略図を図3に示す。ステインを生成させるために、ビニルタイルを4インチ幅のストリップに切断し、溶液を含有させるために5つの1.5インチのID Oリングを使用し、それらをビニルタイル上で乾燥させた。溶液(1mL)を、合計体積4mLが加えられるまで、Oリングの中心に1.5時間毎に加えた。以下で説明するように、5つの異なる溶液を使用し、Oリングごとに1つの溶液を使用して、それら由来のステインを試験した。乾燥前に、溶液を室温で72時間混合した。次いで、ビニルタイルを100°Fのオーブン内で1時間加熱した。次いで、試料を2〜4時間以内に試験した。
試料6は、液体の貯蔵及び液体の計量放出を提供する単一層から構成される一体型吸収性複合材料である。
試料7は、2つの層で構成され、互いに積み重なっている一体型吸収性複合材料であり、液体の貯蔵及び液体の計量放出を提供する。
試料8は、3つの層で構成され、互いに積み重なっている一体型吸収性複合材料であり、液体の貯蔵及び液体の計量放出を提供する。
試料9は、3つの層で構成され、互いに積み重なっている一体型吸収性複合材料であり、液体の貯蔵及び液体の計量放出を提供する。
本実施例は、3層で構成され、互いに積み重ねられた一体型吸収性複合材料を提供し、液体を貯蔵し、液体の測定放出を提供し、市販の使い捨て湿潤モップクロスで使用されるスパンレースを置き換えるように設計されている。
実施例10の試料(試料10A、試料10B、試料10C、及び試料10D)を試験し、タイル湿潤試験において市販製品と比較した。その方法は実施例4において提供されている。試験した試料のリストを表20.に示す。これらの結果を以下の表21にまとめる。
試料10Cを更に試験して、試料洗浄能力及びステイン除去能力を評価した。試料10Cを、乾燥状態で試験し、乾燥状態で粘着付与剤(およそ3gsm)材料の上部層(床面)に適用した。試料10Cの組成を表18に提供する。市販のStainmaster(登録商標)Microfiber Cloth及びSwiffer(登録商標)Wet Jet−Disposable Mopも試験した。これらの結果を以下の表22にまとめる。1ポンドの圧力及び1分間あたり40サイクルで作動するガードナー直線洗浄試験機(WA−2175、Model D16VF)を使用して、4インチ×3インチ試料を切断し、スクラブブロックに装着した。装置を始動させ、5つの異なるステインのそれぞれを、ビニルタイル(Armstrong Flooring 56830031 Feature Tile R627A)から除去するためのサイクル数を記録した。試験装置の概略図を図3に示す。ステインを生成させるために、ビニルタイルを4インチ幅のストリップに切断し、5つの1.5インチのID Oリングを使用して、溶液を含有させ、それらをビニルタイル上で乾燥させた。溶液(1mL)を、合計体積4mLが加えられるまで、Oリングの中心に1.5時間毎に加えた。以下で説明するように、5つの異なる溶液を使用し、Oリングごとに1つの溶液を使用して、それら由来のステインを試験した。乾燥前に、溶液を室温で72時間混合した。次いで、ビニルタイルを100°Fのオーブン内で1時間加熱した。次いで、試料を2〜4時間以内に試験した。
Claims (19)
- 少なくとも1つの繊維層を含む一体型エアレイド不織布材料であって、前記少なくとも1つの層が、セルロース繊維及び合成繊維を含み、前記セルロース繊維が、約15mg/100m未満の粗さを有する結合天然セルロース繊維を含む、一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 前記結合天然セルロース繊維が、約4.2mg/100m〜約8.8mg/100mの範囲の粗さを有する、請求項1に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 前記結合天然セルロース繊維が、約6.5mg/100mの粗さを有する、請求項2に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 前記結合天然セルロース繊維が、約1.5mm以下のカヤーニ加重平均長を有する、請求項1に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 前記結合天然セルロース繊維が、広葉樹繊維を含む、請求項1に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 前記結合天然セルロース繊維が、ユーカリパルプを含む、請求項5に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 前記合成繊維が、二成分バインダー繊維を含む、請求項1に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 前記二成分バインダー繊維が、偏心二成分繊維を含み、前記二成分バインダー繊維が、ポリエチレン系シースと、約200℃を超える融点を有するポリマーを含むコアと、を含む、請求項7に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 前記一体型エアレイド不織布材料が、少なくとも2つの繊維層を含む、請求項1に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- セルロース繊維の層を更に含む、請求項9に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 少なくとも1つの繊維層が、その表面の少なくとも一部分においてバインダーでコーティングされている、請求項1に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 少なくとも1つの繊維層が、その表面の少なくとも一部分において接着剤でコーティングされている、請求項1に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 前記不織布材料が、合成繊維を含む1つの層を更に含む、請求項1に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 前記不織布材料が、洗浄配合物を更に含む、請求項1に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 前記洗浄配合物が、水性系である、請求項14に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 2つの繊維層を含む一体型エアレイド不織布材料であって、第1の層が、セルロース繊維及び合成繊維を含み、第2の層が、セルロース繊維及び合成繊維を含む、一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 前記第2の層が、その表面の少なくとも一部分において結合剤でコーティングされている、請求項16に記載の一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 2つの繊維層を含む一体型エアレイド不織布材料であって、第1の層が、合成繊維を含み、第2の層が、セルロース繊維及び合成繊維を含み、前記第2の層が、その表面の少なくとも一部分においてバインダーでコーティングされている、一体型エアレイド不織布材料。
- 3つの繊維層を含む一体型エアレイド不織布材料であって、
第1の層が、合成繊維を含み、第2の層が、セルロース繊維及び合成繊維を含み、第3の層が、セルロース繊維及び合成繊維を含み、
前記第2の層が、その表面の少なくとも一部分においてバインダーでコーティングされ、
