Abstract
Description
排気の流入側端面から流出側端面まで延びる複数のセルが多孔質の隔壁により区画形成され、且つ、前記流出側端面における開口が目封じされた流入側セルと、前記流入側端面における開口が目封じされた流出側セルと、が交互に配置されたフィルタ基材と、
前記隔壁に担持された排気浄化触媒と、を備え、
前記排気浄化触媒のウォッシュコート量が60g/L以上110g/L以下であり、
前記排気浄化触媒は前記隔壁内部及び前記隔壁表面に担持されており、
前記排気浄化フィルタの流入側から流出側に沿って、上流部、中間部、下流部と区分した際に、
前記上流部、前記中間部、前記下流部のそれぞれにおいて、
前記流入側セルの所定箇所において前記隔壁表面に担持されている前記排気浄化触媒の面積率をSEMで測定した流入側触媒面積率と、
前記流出側セルの所定箇所において前記隔壁表面に担持されている前記排気浄化触媒の面積率をSEMで測定した流出側触媒面積率と、の平均値を求め、
前記平均値の最小値が28%以上であり、
前記上流部、前記中間部、前記下流部の前記排気浄化触媒の担持後の前記隔壁における、体積基準によるメジアン気孔径(D50)を求め、その最大値が14.6μm以下である、排気浄化フィルタ。
図1は、本実施形態に係る内燃機関(以下、「エンジン」という。)1の排気浄化装置2の構成を示す図である。
エンジン1は、直噴方式のガソリンエンジンである。図1に示すように、排気浄化装置2は、排気が流通する排気管3の上流側から順に設けられた、TWC31と、排気浄化フィルタとしてのGPF32と、を備える。
図2に示すように、GPF32は、フィルタ基材320と、フィルタ基材320の隔壁323に担持された排気浄化触媒(本実施形態ではTWC33)と、を備える。
図3に示すように、流入側セル321と流出側セル322を構成する隔壁323の内表面には、三元触媒であるTWC33が担持されている。三元触媒としては、上記のTWC31の触媒を用いることができる。

各実施例及び比較例に係るGPFについて、排気量1.5Lのガソリン直噴エンジン車両の直下0.6L三元触媒の後段に、試験対象となるGPFを搭載し、室温25℃、湿度50%の条件において走行し、その際のGPF前後のPM数(PN)を測定し、PM数(PN)捕集効率(低減率)を算出した。測定にあたっては、前処理として、WLTPを1サイクル走行して、GPFに残る粒子状物質を除去後、室温25℃にて24時間ソークを行い、コールド状態から測定を実施してデータとした。
各実施例及び比較例に係るGPFの圧損については、ツクバリカセイキ製の触媒担体圧損試験装置を用いて測定を実施した。
各実施例及び比較例に係るGPFについて、模擬アッシュとして石膏を用いた耐久性試験を行った。具体的には、先ず石膏を焼成後、実際のアッシュに近い粒径となるまでミリングを実施した。次いで、自作吸引装置(大型ドライポンプ(設計排気量1850L/分)をタンクに繋いで真空引き)を用いて、フィルタ基材に所定の模擬アッシュ量を吸引させることによって、実走の耐久を模擬した。

Claims (6)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に設けられ、前記内燃機関の排気中の粒子状物質を捕捉して浄化する排気浄化フィルタであって、
排気の流入側端面から流出側端面まで延びる複数のセルが多孔質の隔壁により区画形成され、且つ、前記流出側端面における開口が目封じされた流入側セルと、前記流入側端面における開口が目封じされた流出側セルと、が交互に配置されたフィルタ基材と、
前記隔壁に担持された排気浄化触媒と、を備え、
前記排気浄化触媒のウォッシュコート量が60g/L以上110g/L以下であり、
前記排気浄化触媒は前記隔壁内部及び前記隔壁表面に担持されており、
前記排気浄化フィルタの流入側から流出側に沿って、上流部、中間部、下流部と区分した際に、
前記上流部、前記中間部、前記下流部のそれぞれにおいて、
前記流入側セルの所定箇所において前記隔壁表面に担持されている前記排気浄化触媒の面積率をSEMで測定した流入側触媒面積率と、
前記流出側セルの所定箇所において前記隔壁表面に担持されている前記排気浄化触媒の面積率をSEMで測定した流出側触媒面積率と、の平均値を求め、
前記平均値の最小値が28%以上であり、
前記上流部、前記中間部、前記下流部の前記排気浄化触媒の担持後の前記隔壁における、体積基準によるメジアン気孔径(D50)を求め、その最大値が14.6μm以下である、排気浄化フィルタ。 - 前記平均値の最小値が64%以上である、請求項1に記載の排気浄化フィルタ。
- 前記隔壁の厚さが11mil以下である、請求項1又は2に記載の排気浄化フィルタ。
- 前記排気浄化触媒の担持前の前記隔壁のメジアン気孔径(D50)気孔径が12μm以上である、請求項1から3のいずれか一つに記載の排気浄化フィルタ。
- 前記流出側セルの開口径が前記流入側セルの開口径より小さい、請求項1から4のいずれか一つに記載の排気浄化フィルタ。
- 前記隔壁表面に担持される前記排気浄化触媒上に、ゼオライトが配置されている、請求項1から5のいずれか一つに記載の排気浄化フィルタ。
