Abstract
Description
最初に本開示の実施態様を列記して説明する。本開示の一実施形態に係る光ファイバの製造方法は、加熱炉内で加熱され、線引きされたガラス繊維のガラス外径を測定して時間の関数を得ることと、関数を周波数領域に変換することと、周波数領域において、第一線引条件に起因する第一ピークと、第二線引条件に起因する第二ピークとを同定することと、第一ピークの周波数をfm、第一ピークの半値全幅をwm、及び、第二ピークの周波数をfnとしたときに、fn<fm-wm/2またはfn>fm+wm/2を満足するように第二線引条件を調整することと、を含む。
本開示の光ファイバの製造方法の具体例を、以下に図面を参照しつつ説明する。なお、本発明はこれらの例示に限定されるものではなく、特許請求の範囲によって示され、特許請求の範囲と均等の意味及び範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれることが意図される。図面の説明において同一の要素には同一の符号を付し、重複する説明を省略する。
図1は、実施形態に係る光ファイバの製造方法に用いられる製造装置の構成図である。図1に示される製造装置100(線引機)は、光ファイバプリフォーム101からガラス繊維104を経て光ファイバ110を製造するための装置である。製造装置100は、把持部102と、加熱炉103と、保温炉105と、測定器106と、冷却器107と、ダイス108と、紫外線照射機109と、揺動ガイドローラ111と、キャプスタン112と、巻き取り機113と、制御部114と、を備える。

Claims (4)
- 加熱炉内で加熱され、線引きされたガラス繊維のガラス外径を測定して時間の関数を得ることと、
前記関数を周波数領域に変換することと、
前記周波数領域において、第一線引条件に起因する第一ピークと、第二線引条件に起因する第二ピークとを同定することと、
前記第一ピークの周波数をfm、前記第一ピークの半値全幅をwm、及び、前記第二ピークの周波数をfnとしたときに、fn<fm-wm/2またはfn>fm+wm/2を満足するように第二線引条件を調整することと、を含む、
光ファイバの製造方法。 - 前記ガラス外径のサンプリングの時間間隔は100ms以下である、
請求項1に記載の光ファイバの製造方法。 - 前記ガラス繊維に被覆層を形成して光ファイバとした後、揺動ガイドローラを用いて前記光ファイバにねじれを付与することを更に含む、
請求項1または請求項2に記載の光ファイバの製造方法。 - 前記第二線引条件は、前記揺動ガイドローラの揺動周波数である、請求項3に記載の光ファイバの製造方法。
