Abstract
Description
本出願は、「可撓性リチウムイオン電池」と題され、2018年9月6日に出願された米国仮出願第62/727,922号、および「可撓性リチウムイオン電池」と題され、2019年9月4日に出願された米国出願第16/560,731号に基づく優先権を主張する。両出願は、参照によりその全体が本明細書に組み込まれる。
本発明は、共同研究契約で以下に列挙された当事者によって、またはその代理としてなされた。共同研究契約は、特許請求される発明がなされた日またはそれ以前に有効であり、特許請求された発明は、共同研究契約の範囲内で行われた活動の結果としてなされた。共同研究契約の当事者は、1)Honda Research Institute USA, Inc.および2)NanoSynthesis Plus, Ltd.である。
Claims (21)
- 液体、ゲル、固体、またはそれらの組合せを含む電解質と、
1つまたは複数の電極であって、
カーボンナノチューブの三次元架橋ネットワーク内にアノード活物質粒子を含む複合材料を含む1つまたは複数の可撓性アノードと、
カーボンナノチューブの三次元架橋ネットワーク内にカソード活物質粒子を含む複合材料を含む1つまたは複数の可撓性カソードと、
を含む1つまたは複数の電極と、
電池を形成するために、前記1つまたは複数の可撓性アノードと前記1つまたは複数の可撓性カソードとの間に配置された1つまたは複数の可撓性セパレータ膜と、
を備える、可撓性リチウムイオン電池であって、
前記電池は可撓性パウチの内側にあり、前記可撓性パウチは、前記電池を内部に保持するように機能する外部パッケージング材料を含む、可撓性リチウムイオン電池。 - 前記電池は集電体を含まない、請求項1に記載の電池。
- 前記電池はバインダを含まない、請求項1に記載の電池。
- 前記1つまたは複数の電極が、1つまたは複数の電極の本体からセパレータ膜を越えて延在するそれぞれの突起部の少なくとも1つに、あるいはセパレータ膜の切り欠きにある1つまたは複数の電極および1つまたは複数の対向する電極の前記本体に取り付けられた電池タブをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の電池。
- 前記外部パッケージング材料は、可撓性材料、伸縮性材料、ねじれ可能材料、ウェアラブル材料、移植可能材料、生体適合性材料、しわのない材料、防水材料、耐久材料、断熱材料、およびそれらの任意の組合せおよび層を含む、請求項1に記載の電池。
- セパレータ膜に面して、接触しているそれぞれの電極の表面上のカーボンナノチューブの濃度は、5〜100重量%のカーボンナノチューブであり、電極のバルク中のカーボンナノチューブの濃度は、0.5〜10重量%のカーボンナノチューブであり、セパレータ膜とは反対側を向き、セパレータ膜と接触していないそれぞれの電極の表面上のカーボンナノチューブの濃度は、0〜1重量%のカーボンナノチューブである、請求項1に記載の電池。
- 2つ以上の電池タブが前記可撓性パウチを越えて延在し、前記2つ以上の電池タブが前記可撓性パウチの外側に電流を提供するように機能する、請求項4に記載の電池。
- 前記可撓性パウチを越えて延在する2つ以上の電池タブ延長部をさらに備え、前記2つ以上の電池タブ延長部は、それぞれが電池タブにそれぞれ取り付けられる、請求項4に記載の電池。
- 前記電池は、前記可撓性パウチの内側で、長さまたは幅に沿って1回または複数回折り畳まれている、請求項1に記載の電池。
- 曲げ構成、巻き構成、または折り畳み構成の前記可撓性リチウムイオン電池の充放電容量が、フラット構成にある前記可撓性リチウムイオン電池の充放電容量の75〜100%である、請求項1に記載の可撓性リチウムイオン電池。
- 前記アノード活物質粒子は、グラファイト、シリコン、天然グラファイト、人工グラファイト、活性炭、カーボンブラック、高性能粉末グラフェン、またはそれらの組合せを含み、前記カソード活物質粒子は、リチウム金属酸化物、金属リチウム、(LiNixMnyCozO2、x+y+z=1)、Li(Ni,Mn,Co)O2、Li−Ni−Mn−Co−O、またはそれらの組合せを含む、請求項1に記載の可撓性リチウムイオン電池。
- それぞれが5〜100重量%のカーボンナノチューブを含む1つまたは複数の表面を含む1つまたは複数の電極を提供するステップと、
1つまたは複数のセパレータ膜を提供するステップと、
電池を形成するために、前記1つまたは複数の電極の間に1つまたは複数のセパレータ膜を配置するステップであって、前記1つまたは複数のセパレータ膜は、5〜100重量%のカーボンナノチューブを含む前記1つまたは複数の表面と接触している、ステップと、
前記電池を可撓性パウチの内部に配置するステップであって、前記可撓性パウチは、前記電池を内部に保持するように機能する外部パッケージング材料を含む、ステップと、
を含む、可撓性リチウムイオン電池を製造する方法。 - 前記5〜100重量%のカーボンナノチューブが、前記1つまたは複数のセパレータ膜に接着するように機能する、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記1つまたは複数のセパレータ膜と接触していない前記1つまたは複数の電極の表面は、0〜1重量%のカーボンナノチューブを含み、前記0〜1重量%のカーボンナノチューブは、1つまたは複数の非接着表面を提供するように機能する、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 0〜1重量%のカーボンナノチューブを含む1つまたは複数の表面に接触することによって、1つまたは複数の電極をプレスするステップをさらに含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 1つまたは複数のセパレータ膜が1つまたは複数の電極の1つまたは複数の外面上にあるように、1つまたは複数の電極の間にではなく、1つまたは複数の電極の表面に1つまたは複数のセパレータ膜を配置するステップをさらに含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 1つまたは複数の電極の1つまたは複数の外面上の1つまたは複数のセパレータ膜に接触することによって、1つまたは複数の電極をプレスするステップをさらに含む、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 1つまたは複数の電極の本体からセパレータ膜を越えて延在するそれぞれの突起部の少なくとも1つに、あるいは1つまたは複数のセパレータ膜の切り欠きにある1つまたは複数の電極および対向する電極の前記本体に、取り付けられた電池タブを取り付けるステップをさらに含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 濃度5〜100重量%のカーボンナノチューブを収集するステップと、
濃度0.5〜10重量%のカーボンナノチューブを収集するステップと、
濃度0〜1重量%のカーボンナノチューブを収集して、第一の外面に5〜100重量%のカーボンナノチューブと、バルクの中に濃度0.5〜10重量%のカーボンナノチューブと、第二の外面に濃度0〜1重量%のカーボンナノチューブと、を備える可撓性自立電極を形成するステップと、
を含む、可撓性自立電極を製造する方法。 - セパレータ膜を5〜100重量%のカーボンナノチューブを含む前記第一の外面に取り付けるステップをさらに含み、前記5〜100重量%のカーボンナノチューブは前記セパレータ膜に接着するように機能する、請求項19に記載の方法。
- プレス装置で前記可撓性自立電極をプレスするステップをさらに含み、前記セパレータ膜および前記濃度0〜1重量%のカーボンナノチューブは前記可撓性自立電極が前記プレス装置に接着するのを防止するように機能する、請求項20に記載の方法。
