Abstract
Description
図1に示すように、トルクコンバータ100は、トルクコンバータ本体2と、回転電機3と、出力部材4と、ロックアップピストン5と、ダンパ機構6とを備えている。トルクコンバータ100は、回転軸Oを中心に回転する。トルクコンバータ100は、エンジンなどの駆動源から駆動輪(図示省略)までのトルク伝達経路に配置されている。具体的には、トルクコンバータ100は、エンジン120からトルクが入力され、トランスミッション1301へとトルクを出力する。なお、エンジン120は、トルクコンバータ100の左側に配置され、トランスミッション130は、トルクコンバータ100の右側に配置される。
図2に示すように、トルクコンバータ本体2は、カバー21と、インペラ22と、タービン23と、第1ステータ24とを有している。トルクコンバータ本体2内には、作動油が収容されている。詳細には、カバー21とタービン23との間の空間、及びインペラ22とタービン23との間の空間内に作動油が満たされている。トルクコンバータ本体2内には作動油が供給される。トルクコンバータ本体2内の作動油は循環している。
回転電機3は、トルクコンバータ本体2内に配置されている。回転電機3は、軸方向において、カバー21とタービン23との間に配置されている。詳細には、回転電機3は、軸方向において、ロックアップピストン5とタービン23との間に配置されている。回転電機3は、モータ及びジェネレータの機能を有する。回転電機3は、トルクコンバータ100の回転軸Oを中心に回転する。すなわち、
回転電機3は、第2ステータ31及びロータ32を有する。
出力部材4は、回転軸Oを中心に回転可能に配置されている。出力部材4は、入力シャフト104と一体的に回転するように構成されている。詳細には、出力部材4は、円筒状であって、内周面にスプライン溝を有している。そして、入力シャフト104は、出力部材4にスプライン嵌合している。
ロックアップピストン5は、軸方向移動可能に配置されている。ロックアップピストン5は、軸方向において、カバー21と回転電機3との間に配置されている。ロックアップピストン5は、円板状である。ロックアップピストン5は、出力部材4上を軸方向に摺動する。また、ロックアップピストン5は、出力部材4に対して、所定の角度範囲内で相対回転可能である。
ダンパ機構6は、ロックアップピストン5と出力部材4とを弾性的に接続している。ダンパ機構6は、径方向において、回転電機3の内側に配置されている。詳細には、ダンパ機構6は、径方向において、ステータコア31a及びロータコア32aの内側に配置されている。径方向視において、ダンパ機構6は、回転電機3と重複している。
トルクコンバータ100には、インバータ110、及びバッテリ111などが接続されている。
トルクコンバータ100は、第1油路P1、第2油路P2を有している。第1油路P1は、入力シャフト104内の空間によって構成されている。第1油路P1は、カバー21とロックアップピストン5との間の空間と連通している。
上述したように構成されたトルクコンバータ100は、例えば、以下のように動作する。
以上、本発明の実施形態について説明したが、本発明はこれらに限定されるものではなく、本発明の趣旨を逸脱しない限りにおいて種々の変更が可能である。
図3に示すように、トルクコンバータ100は、弾性部材7をさらに備えていてもよい。弾性部材7は、ロータ32と出力部材4とを弾性的に連結している。すなわち、ロータ32は、弾性部材7を介して出力部材4に連結されている。詳細には、ロータ32は、弾性部材7を介してロータ支持部材32cに取り付けられている。なお、タービン23は、弾性部材7を介さずに出力部材4に連結されている。
図5に示すように、トルクコンバータ100は、クラッチ部8を有していてもよい。クラッチ部8は、ロータ32と出力部材4との間でトルクを伝達したりトルク伝達を解除したりするように構成されている。具体的には、ロータ32は、クラッチ部8を介してロータ支持部材32cに取り付けられている。この構成によれば、回転電機3を使用しないときにクラッチ部8をクラッチオフ状態にすることによって、ロータ32を出力部材4から切り離すことができる。この結果、ロータ32が出力部材4とともに回転することを防止できるため、回転電機3による逆起電力の発生を防止することができる。
図6に示すように、ダンパ機構6は、径方向において、回転電機3の外側に配置されていてもよい。この構成によれば、ダンパ機構6による減衰性能を向上させることができる。
図7に示すように、回転電機3は、インナーロータ型であってもよい。すなわち、ロータ32が、径方向において、第2ステータ31の内側に配置されていてもよい。
上記実施形態に係るトルクコンバータ100では、エンジンなどの駆動源からのトルクがカバー21に伝達され、出力部材4からトランスミッションの入力シャフト104にトルクを伝達しているが、トルクコンバータ100のトルク伝達経路はこれに限定されない。
ロータ支持部材32cは、出力部材4の一部であってもよい。すなわち、ロータ支持部材32cは、出力部材4と一つの部材によって構成されていてもよい。
上記実施形態では、回転電機3は、IPMモータであったが、SPMモータであってもよい。すなわち、永久磁石32bは、ロータコア32aの表面上に固定されていてもよい。

- カバー、インペラ、タービン、及び第1ステータを有するトルクコンバータ本体と、
ロータ及び第2ステータを有し、前記トルクコンバータ本体内に配置される回転電機と、
を備える、トルクコンバータ。
- 前記第1ステータ及び前記第2ステータは、固定シャフトに支持される、
請求項1に記載のトルクコンバータ。
- 前記ロータ及び前記第2ステータは、前記カバーと前記タービンとの間に配置される、
請求項1又は2に記載のトルクコンバータ。
- 前記タービン及び前記ロータから伝達されたトルクを出力する出力部材をさらに備える、
請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のトルクコンバータ。
- 前記ロータは、前記出力部材と一体的に回転する、
請求項4に記載のトルクコンバータ。
- 前記ロータ及びタービンの少なくとも一方と前記出力部材とを弾性的に連結する弾性部材をさらに備える、
請求項4に記載のトルクコンバータ。
- 前記ロータと前記出力部材との間でトルクを伝達及びトルク伝達を解除するクラッチ部をさらに備える、
請求項4から6のいずれかに記載のトルクコンバータ。
- 前記タービンは、前記出力部材又は前記ロータと相対回転不能である、

- 軸方向移動可能に配置されるロックアップピストンをさらに備える、
