Claims (20)
- 発光ダイオード(LED)の出力をコリメートするためのデバイスであって、
上面を含むLED基板であり、該上面から光が放射される、LED基板と、
放射された光の経路内に配置されたサブ波長散乱アンテナのアレイであり、前記LEDが放射した光の散乱の方向を選択するように構成されており、前記デバイスからコリメートされた光出力を提供する、サブ波長散乱アンテナのアレイと、
前記放射された光の経路内に配置され、かつ、前記アレイから距離を離して置かれたサブ波長散乱アンテナの第2アレイであり、前記LEDが放射した光の散乱の方向を選択するように構成されており、前記デバイスからコリメートされた光出力を提供する、サブ波長散乱アンテナの第2アレイと、
を含む、デバイス。 - 前記アレイは、前記LEDから放射された光の伝搬平面に対して垂直である、
請求項1に記載のデバイス。 - 前記アレイは、前記上面に隣接して配置されている、
請求項1に記載のデバイス。 - 前記第2アレイは、前記LEDから放射された光の伝搬平面に対して垂直である、

LED基板の上面からの光を放射するステップと、
放射された光の経路内に配置されたサブ波長散乱アンテナのアレイを使用して、デバイスからコリメートされた光出力を提供するために、前記LEDが放射した光の散乱の方向を選択するステップと、
前記アレイが埋め込まれている媒体を変動させるステップと、
前記アレイの散乱アンテナの形状およびサイズを変動させるステップと、
前記散乱アンテナのアレイの材料を変動させるステップと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記方法は、さらに、
前記放射された光の経路内に配置され、かつ、前記アレイから距離を離して置かれたサブ波長散乱アンテナの第2アレイを使用して、前記デバイスからコリメートされた光出力を提供するために、前記LEDが放射した光の散乱の方向を選択するステップ、
を含む、請求項16に記載の方法。 - 前記方法は、さらに、
前記第2アレイが埋め込まれている媒体を変動させるステップと、
前記第2アレイの散乱アンテナの形状およびサイズを変動させるステップと、
前記散乱アンテナの第2アレイの材料を変動させるステップと、
を含む、請求項17に記載の方法。 - 前記第2アレイは、前記光の伝搬方向において前記アレイから距離を離して置かれている、
