Abstract
Description
本出願は、2017年4月21日に提出された米国仮出願第62/488,655号への米国特許法第119条(e)の定めによる利益及び優先権を主張し、その全体が参照により本明細書に援用される。

Claims (16)
- 入力ポートを有する入力部と、
サンプル室と、
前記サンプル室と流体連通する廃棄容器と、
前記サンプル室内にサンプルを保持しながら、前記入力ポートを通って導入される流体が前記サンプル室から前記廃棄容器内へと選択的に通過することを可能にするフィルタ機構と
を備え、
前記サンプル室、廃棄容器及びフィルタ機構は、前記サンプル室から前記フィルタ機構を通って前記廃棄容器へと毛細管現象によって流体を引き込むように構成される、ガラス化デバイス。 - 少なくとも1つの観察窓をさらに備え、前記観察窓は、前記サンプル室内のサンプルが前記観察窓を通して観察可能であるように構成される、請求項1に記載のガラス化デバイス。
- 前記入力ポートを閉じるために前記入力部に可逆的に結合することが可能なキャップをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のガラス化デバイス。
- 前記キャップは、前記キャップが前記入力部に結合されるときに前記ガラス化デバイス内の流体の流れを妨げるように前記入力ポートを密封するように構成される、請求項3に記載のガラス化デバイス。
- 前記フィルタ機構は、毛細管現象を促進するために複数のマイクロ流体チャネルを形成するようにサイズが決められかつ構成される複数の細孔を有するフィルタを備える、請求項1に記載のガラス化デバイス。
- 前記サンプル室は、液体窒素に耐性のある材料を備える、請求項1に記載のガラス化デバイス。
- 前記サンプル室は、熱伝導性材料を備える、請求項1に記載のガラス化デバイス。
- 前記サンプル室は、アクリル系材料、ポリプロピレン系材料、ポリカーボネート系材料、及びコポリエステル系材料の少なくとも1つから形成される、請求項1に記載のガラス化デバイス。
- 前記サンプル室は、0.002インチ以下の厚みの壁の有する、請求項1に記載のガラス化デバイス。
- サンプルを調製するための方法であって、
フィルタ機構に隣接するサンプル室内へサンプルを送達するステップと、
前記フィルタ機構が前記サンプル室内に前記サンプルを保持しながら、前記サンプル室を通して廃棄容器内へと流体力によって第1の流体を押し込むことによって前記第1の流体で前記サンプルを処理するステップと
を含み、
前記廃棄容器内へと前記第1の流体を押し込むことによって毛細管現象が開始され、後続の流体が前記サンプル室を通して前記廃棄容器内へと引き込まれる、方法。 - 前記フィルタ機構が前記サンプル室内に前記サンプルを保持しながら、前記サンプル室を通して前記廃棄容器内へと毛細管現象によって第2の流体を引き込むことによって前記第2の流体で前記サンプルを処理するステップをさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記サンプル室における観察窓を通して前記サンプル室内の前記サンプルを観察するステップをさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- キャップを結合することにより前記サンプル室内に流体を流すための入力ポートを密封するステップをさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記サンプル室内の前記サンプルをガラス化するステップをさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記サンプルは、前記サンプル室を液体窒素と接触させることによりガラス化される、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記サンプル室を温溶液と接触させることにより前記サンプルを解凍するステップをさらに含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
