Claims (10)
- 直列に配置されている内燃機関のシリンダ列(3)の複数のシリンダ(2)に給気を供給するための前記内燃機関の給気配管(1)であって、
前記給気配管(1)の複数の給気配管セクション(6)であって、分岐配管(7)が、前記給気配管セクション(6)それぞれから前記シリンダ(2)に通じており、前記シリンダ(2)それぞれのシリンダヘッド(4)に螺合可能とされる、前記給気配管セクション(6)と、
給気が前記給気配管に供給される際に通過する給気配管(1)の上流端部(9)と、
端部キャップ(11)によって閉じられる前記給気配管(1)の下流端部(10)と、
を有している前記給気配管(1)において、
前記給気配管(1)が、前記上流端部(9)において、前記下流端部(10)における流路断面積より大きい流路断面積を有していることを特徴とする給気配管。 - 前記給気配管(1)が、給気を前記シリンダ列(3)それぞれの数量Nの前記シリンダ(2)に供給するために、数量Nの前記給気配管セクション(6)を備えており、
前記給気配管(1)が、前記上流端部(9)の領域と、前記上流端部(9)から見て1番目〜J番目の前記給気配管セクション(6)の領域とにおいて、第1の流路断面積を有しており、J<Nの関係を満たし、
前記給気配管(1)が、前記上流端部(9)から見て少なくともN番目の前記給気配管セクション(6)の領域と前記下流端部(10)の領域とにおいて、前記第1の流路断面積より小さい第2の流路断面積を有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の給気配管。 - J番目の給気配管セクション(6)の領域における流路断面積が、前記第1の流路断面積から前記第2の流路断面積に減少することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の給気配管。
- J=N−2の関係が成立することを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の給気配管。
- 前記給気配管(1)が、前記シリンダ列(3)それぞれの数量Nの前記シリンダ(2)に給気を供給するために、数量Nの前記給気配管セクション(6)を備えており、
前記給気配管(1)が、前記上流端部(9)の領域と、前記上流端部(9)から見て1番目〜N−1番目の前記給気配管セクション(6)の領域とにおいて、第1の流路断面積を有しており、
前記給気配管(1)が、前記上流端部(9)から見てN番目の前記給気配管セクション(6)の領域と、前記下流端部(10)の領域とにおいて、前記第1の流路断面積より小さい第2の流路断面積を有していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の給気配管。 - 前記流路断面積が、N−1番目の前記給気配管セクション(6)の領域において、前記第1の流路断面積から前記第2の流路断面積に減少することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の給気配管。
- 前記流路断面積が、第1流路断面積から第2流路断面積に連続的に減少することを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の給気配管。
- 前記流路断面積が、第1の流路断面積から第2の流路断面積に向かってファンネル状又は錐台状の態様で減少することを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の給気配管。
- 第2の流路断面積A2と第1の流路断面積A1との比V=A2/A1が、0.3≦V≦0.7、好ましくは0.4≦V≦0.5、特に好ましくはV=0.5とされることを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の給気配管。
- 内燃機関であって、
少なくとも1つのシリンダ列(3)であって、前記シリンダ列(3)それぞれが、直列に配置されている複数のシリンダ(2)を備えている、前記シリンダ列(3)と、
前記シリンダ列(3)それぞれの前記シリンダ(2)に給気を供給するための少なくとも1つの給気配管(1)と、
を有している前記内燃機関において、
前記給気配管(1)それぞれが、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の給気配管であることを特徴とする内燃機関。
